I am yet to have a negative experience from AO. Easy to compare and purchase items via the website, prices are competitive and often less than other places. Delivery staff have always been pleasant, easy to track and on time. The fact that they take away your boxes and old appliances, plus install the test the new item before they leave, is a huge positive for me. I recently bought a new bed frame and it is lovely, very sturdy and easy to put up. They even took my crappy old frame away, no complaints.

To be honest my experiences over the years with Appliances Online have only been positive from the ordering either online or by phone to the communication of the delivery time. I recently had a mattress delivered and after the delivery truck had left my place I found some small damage to the mattress. The customer care person was very forthright in organizing another mattress only thing it was a Friday and none in stock and no delivery until Monday which was of course frustrating but overall they tried to fix the problem without any hesitation by offering an upgrade as compensation. Thank you to the Customer service team.

I’ve never had anything but a positive experience with Appliances Online.
This experience was nothing less than excellent.
Purchasing is safe and easy. The delivery was flawless. The guys were clean and polite. The guys removed my old appliance immediately. They unwrapped my new appliance outside and carefully brought it inside and connected it. They made sure to show me how to use the appliance before leaving.

Delivery service is horrible. My fridge broke down on Friday; so I ordered one for delivery on Saturday. The delivery driver was late- then they did not deliver the fridge as it is a big fridge and they need 4 people. Excuse me, this isn’t new information and is purely poor planning. Then they said they’ll deliver on Wednesday morning- so sign of them yet. The delivery driver does not reply and the delivery keeps moving further and further. AO should really look into the performance of their delivery partner. This is abysmal service!

I ordered a TV on a Sunday and they delivered it on the Monday!

Unfortunately, when we unboxed it when I got home from work we found that the screen was cracked. However, after a call to the team at Appliances Online the next morning, they arranged a swap for the Wednesday. Outstanding Service!

The order process is very easy, the pricing is great. They give you a delivery date and then a two hour window. Their people are professional. They installed the new tv, removed all the packaging and the old tv. It was a seamless and easy process and I would recommend Appliances Online highly. Thank you.

We had a washing machine order and were told last minute (10m after expected time) that it cannot be delivered because they cannot park a large truck anywhere in the CBD. From logistics point of view, if the company is providing delivery service, this is what you need to account for prior to loading the product on your truck, you don’t do this last minute and cancel the delivery. This makes your customers feel like you don’t value their time. Your customers have already made plans to receive the delivery, so commit to it. This is not the first time we’ve encountered this behaviour, it has not improved.

I looked on the website and knew exactly what I wanted but needed to make sure the dryer and the washing machine were compatible . I contacted the very kind and helpful, Courtney and she made the entire process so easy. The appliances were delivered the very next day and the lads were so helpful. I’m never getting appliances from anywhere else!! 10/10

I’ve purchased several items from Appliances Online over the years - washer/dryer, fridge, microwave, heaters etc. Every purchase has been 5 star. My favourite bit is them removing the old appliances, since I have a small apartment. Website is great, delivery guys are always on time with good communication in advance. Probably my most favourite online store.

Appliances online are simply the go to place for appliances, big and small. Multiple purchases, multiple positive experiences, great products and prices. Removing the old appliance is a great value addon.

Price for a start. Removal of old item and set up of new. Delivery was well communicated and the guys removed all packaging.

Great customer service which included updates on when they'd arrive.
The new product was brought into the house and placed into position and the old appliance, including the discarded packaging was taken away.

Cannot recommend appliances online enough. They are our go to for any appliance. They price match. Their Call Centre is based in Australia and very friendly. The delivery guys are so professional also super friendly and polite. And they can get an appliance to you often within 24 hours.

Ordered a Falmec Polar Evo rangehood ($2,149) on 21 May with a requested delivery of 12 June. Paid in full upfront. The delivery date came and went with total silence — I had to chase them five days later to find out what was going on.
Only then was I told my order is a "proforma" item: Appliances Online holds no stock, my money went straight to the manufacturer, and they simply wait. In other words, they took full payment on day one for a product they had no control over and no date for — and only explained this after the deadline passed.
What followed was three weeks of "we're following up": no ETA, then "approximately 1–2 weeks," then a letter telling me the timeframe was "an estimate only" and refusing any responsibility for the consequences. Those consequences are real: my newly built home cannot pass final inspection over this one appliance, we cannot move in, and the open cavity left for the rangehood has let pests into the house. Their position on compensation: not our problem.
A contract with Appliances Online apparently means Appliances Online's obligations end the moment they've taken your money. Six weeks on: no rangehood, no firm date, no accountability. Matter now going to Consumer Affairs Victoria.
Do not order anything from their "proforma" range unless you're happy to pay thousands upfront for an indefinite wait — and check the fine print they'll quote back at you when the date slips.
