They called me on the same day I sent them an email. George, the representative who assisted me, was extremely helpful and took care of the entire GCSE exam process for me from start to finish.
If you take their preparation course, you will find very detailed lessons covering different maths topics, along with mock exams that allow you to test your knowledge and track your progress.
I was very pleased with the support I received and would definitely recommend their service.

A good course though some topics were not explained clearly enough so had to look up on other websites. The exams were really expensive, but good that they can be sat in your own home.

Fantastic course, fantastic customer service
A Star have been absolutely brilliant at getting me on to my Biology and Maths courses. I made an initial enquiry and George got in touch pretty much immediately and has been amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable and approachable with every question I’ve had. I booked Biology first and then went back for a 2nd qualification at the same time. He’s been supportive and encouraging throughout and I would most definitely recommend to anyone thinking about getting qualifications.
Their process is easy and the course is done so well with presentations, questions and conversations that make the content easier to understand.
Fully recommend George and A star as a company!

very helpful website
very helpful website. paid for the course and exam for maths but didn't use it as my training provider offered a free course so I did that and passed first time using the a star equivalency course. I have just sat the science paper and waiting on results. the website is very helpful and easy to use.

Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish. Any questions were answered within 24 hours and the support was great. The revision package is hugely worth investing in. Having not studied science for many years, I was nervous about achieving a pass which my job was reliant on - and I got a high grade pass! The fast track service was within the specificed time frame too. Thank you so much to all the staff at A Star for making my career a reality and being able to complete my teaching apprenticeship! Wonderful experience
The whole process from booking, the course and exam were all great. I am glad I took the course as it prepared me well for the exam without wasting time, Jacob helped me twice, with booking and later with the fast track, the exam invigilator was very polite and understanding, I passed the exam and received the results faster than I expected with the fast track.

The learning material is excellent and…
The learning material is excellent and if you follow it properly and practice all the mock tests, it is more than enough to pass the exam. The only thing I would improve for the English exam is for the reading part, it would be nice to have some sort of tool to hilight the texts, like we do in the paper exams, other than that, I had a good experience and I would tecommend A Star. Also, the staff is very friendly.

Progressive and well structured
I have had the opportunity to revise several topics in a progressive, well-structured way that builds understanding from easy to more complex exercises. I have used this approach for both English and Maths, and I highly recommend it for practice and passing the GCSE exams.

Wonderful Experience @A STAR
I just finished my English and biology tests, which was a challenging but rewarding experience. The English reading passages were clear, and good time management helped me complete the essays with confidence on my second attempt. I initially struggled with biology because balancing combined science and biology left me unsure of what to expect. Luckily, my second attempt focused directly on cell structure and ecosystems. Even though the diagrams were tricky, simplifying my definitions during study sessions really paid off. I am incredibly glad the tests are over!
I want to praise the staff for being incredibly supportive and professional. Throughout my English and biology tests. Their helpful attitude created a calm, stress-free environment that made a big difference during my exams. Thank you for the excellent service!

I needed to gain a science equivalency…
I needed to gain a science equivalency in order to get into my teacher training course. I used A Star Equivalency and I am so pleased that I did. The service that they provided was absolutely brilliant and the experience on the test day couldn’t have been better. I was nervous but the invigilator did a great job at putting me at ease. I enjoyed the entire experience and I would definitely use them again.
