I faced technical issues where scores were incorrectly calculated, and some of the revision content for Maths was inconsistent with the quizzes. It is overpriced for what it offers. However, A Star Equivalency has monopolized the market and knows that desperate people are forced to use their services, as the traditional route to getting GCSEs requires enrolling in a full course.

I highly recommend it!!! From start to finish, the whole process was smooth and well organised. The team was incredibly helpful and supportive. The preparation courses were excellent and the test itself was straightforward and fair. A huge thank you to everyone at Star Equivalence for making the journey such a positive experience.

The English equivalency course was very easy to follow. It explained the mark scheme and clearly set out how to write my answers out. Queries were answered quickly. I would highly recommend this course to others.

I can't recommend Shannon and Rosie highly enough. From the very beginning, they showed a genuine interest in what I wanted to achieve and took the time to recommend the courses that were the best fit for my goals. I never felt pressured, just supported and listened to throughout the process.
Their customer service is head and shoulders above Equivalency UK, whose customer service was, in my experience, non-existent by comparison. The difference in professionalism, communication, and genuine care was remarkable.

So, minus another star for still spamming me with review requests. I already made a review highlighting pros and cons of your service. Considering one of the cons highlighted was the frequency and unsuitable timing of those request - and you replied that you could see the issue... This isn't good.

Overall easy process but after spending £1000 on passing my maths and English then to be told I have to pay more for a paper certificate was a bit of a joke.

The process was fairly smooth and ultimatly i passed but just not happy with the price.

Also theres very limited support unless you pay a bunch more money.

I had a positive experience with A Star equivalency .The process was straightforward, communication was clear, and the assessment was completed within the expected timeframe. Lets Be Honest...
A Star Equivalency is not all what it seems!

I was given misinformation by a member of the company's support team, which has affected my revision and caused unnecessary confusion. The instructor in the videos explains topics far too quickly and at a level that can be difficult to follow, especially for learners who need concepts broken down more clearly.

Much of the revision material does not appear to match or adequately prepare you for the questions in the tests. The website itself is also overwhelming to navigate. After purchasing the course, I received numerous emails but very little guidance on how to use the platform or where to find the relevant resources. I felt left to figure everything out on my own.

There are also issues with the website, including images and source material that do not display correctly, despite questions requiring you to refer to them. This makes it difficult, and in some cases impossible, to complete parts of the course as intended.

Overall, I expected a much higher standard considering the cost of the course. Unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating and has made preparing for my exams far more difficult than it should have been.

The team at A Star are approachable. The process is smooth and the study materials are easy to access.

I completed the Biology course and exam due to needing a higher grade for entry onto my university Occupational Therapy course. Having been out of education for 14 years I was very apprehensive however I would highly recommend A Star Equivalency! Considering the course was self paced the course is broken down into very easy to follow segments, the revision videos and text are very well explained and the practice questions and quiz after each topic is really helpful. I did find at first the Biology content very intense however having gone through the content a few times and continually practicing it did start to click.
Everyone I spoke to including the admin team and the exam invigilator were all very efficient and professional, I was really nervous for my exam as I only had 4 months to learn the content however I am over the moon to have passed and scored a Grade 8!

Just a couple of really minor points that when I was watching a revison video of a topic the site would log me out randomly and I would have to log back in and go back into the video and find the place where I was, I would imagine it was just for security however it was a bit frustrating and also quite distracting when trying to focus and concentrate on taking in the content. I would also like to mention that the revision videos that were provided on youtube were really helpful and informative however they had numerous ads on which again could be quite distracting when trying to take in the content.

Overall I am really grateful to A star for getting me through this course and providing me the grades I needed, Please don't be put off by the content or doubt of doing well as all the tools are provided to succeed! Thank you to everyone at A star :)

Chris helped me achieve my 70% after recently getting 60% on my GCSE Maths Foundation. I will forever be grateful to Chris!!! He explains things in a slow, methodical way and adapts his teaching style to what you need and goes through question so you understand what needs to happen to solve them.
