I am due to complete my level 4 diploma in counselling in the coming weeks.
I just wanted to leave a note to say how grateful and appreciative I am to my tutor Cila Hintz.
Cila went above and beyond what I could have expected of my tutor. She was not only supportive and knowledgeable, she also took the time to make sure every single student in our group were happy with the topic material.
I’m hoping to progress to level 5 and 6 eventually and can only hope that cila is running the course.

I am extremely happy with my Level 4 counselling course, with tutor Cila Hintz. I have learned far more than I expected and feel very ready to start working as a counsellor.

Cila went above and beyond to teach us, creating a supportive, engaging, and professional learning environment throughout the course. Her knowledge, experience, and passion for counselling were evident in every session, and she always took the time to explain concepts clearly and answer questions thoughtfully.

What stood out most was her genuine commitment to each student’s development. She encouraged us to think deeply, challenged us appropriately, and provided constructive feedback that helped build both our skills and confidence. She was always approachable and willing to offer extra support when needed.

The course has been both personally and professionally transformative, and I feel equipped with the knowledge, self-awareness, and practical skills required to begin my counselling career. I would highly recommend this course and feel very fortunate to have had Cila as my tutor.

I am currently completing my Level 2 with Astranti and have had a really positive experience so far.

One of the biggest reasons for this is our tutor, Shaz. Her teaching style suits my learning needs perfectly. She explains everything clearly, creates a welcoming and supportive environment, and is always happy to answer any questions we have, no matter how big or small. She is incredibly knowledgeable and makes even the more challenging topics easy to understand.

As someone who works full time, the online classes are a huge benefit. Being able to attend lessons from home makes studying much more manageable and flexible around my work commitments. Despite being online, the sessions are engaging, interactive, and I still feel very connected to both the tutor and the rest of the group.

Astranti has been fantastic throughout the course. The communication is excellent, the course materials are well organised, and the support available is second to none.

I would highly recommend Astranti and Shaz to anyone considering a counselling qualification, especially if you need the flexibility of online learning.

Tutor was excellent in explaining the topic and created an open platform for all of us to share our thoughts. I loved the topic of CBT and now I love it even more as I gained a great insight into how the techniques work and not just what they are.

I really enjoyed the Astranti Connect counselling skills course and am going on to do my level three. It was great to feel connected to like-minded people, although we were also a totally mixed bunch! I learnt a lot despite having done a counselling diploma before. Our tutor Kaye was very supportive, responsive and kind.

I’m so grateful for my experience with Astranti. I completed my Level 2 with them and I’m now studying Level 3 Counselling, and I’ve been consistently impressed with the course content, teaching and support.

The lessons are well structured and grounded in real counselling practice, which has helped me build confidence and develop my skills step by step. The tutor has been excellent: warm, knowledgeable and clear, with feedback that is practical and encouraging.

I also really appreciate the wider Astranti team. Whenever I’ve needed help, whether it’s been a technical issue or support understanding an assignment, I’ve felt looked after and responded to quickly. I especially want to thank Isobel for her ongoing support and assistance with everything. That kind of consistent help makes a huge difference when studying.

Overall, Astranti has been a brilliant learning experience and I would happily recommend the course to anyone looking for supportive, high-quality counselling training.

I have been a student of astranti now from level 2 up to level 4. As a learning institution I cannot praise them enough for their attention to detail and first class communication. Every time I have a query regarding any aspect of the course they are always on hand to explain and assist, communication with the office team has been second to none, faultless in fact. As for my tutor Cila she is a fantastic communicator and always takes the time required to help if I struggle. Being a counselling course it can bring up many issues and sometimes that can be very challenging for individuals, however Cila is always on hand to explain and understand, she has guided me all the way to level 4. My self awareness has not only increased as I have progressed through each stage it has also improved my ability to show empathy and understanding in my personal relationships. This has only been possible solely to Cilas care and the patience she has shown. She has an ability to turn what may initially seem like a mountain to climb into something akin to a mild incline! After level 2 and 3 she is the reason I stayed for level 4 with astranti. As a mature student I was more than a little reticent at first but I shouldn't of been, nothing is to much trouble. I cannot recommend their courses and excellent teachers any higly enough. Its been a challenging but truly enriching experience.

I’ve had a really positive experience so far. The communication has been clear and friendly, and the team has been very supportive throughout the application process. They responded quickly to my questions and made everything feel straightforward and well organised.
I also appreciated how approachable and professional the staff were, which made me feel confident about starting my training with them. I’m looking forward to the next steps and beginning the course.

Very helpful webinar with clear direction on how to hold a safe space for clients coping with abusive situations

Simply an excellent course, thoroughly planned out with clear criteria and plenty of evidence-informed resources to read and watch. This is particularly helpful as a neurodivergent student. My course tutor Lindsey Graves is exceptional, she's very engaging, knowledgeable, kind and fair. She offers constructive and clear guidance, moving our class through at a swift pace but always has time to answer questions and support her students. Isobel is always very responsive and helpful with any technical or operational questions. I will be doing the Level 4 course with Astranti and have enjoyed learning with them immensely!

Well organised, especially the assessment book and always quick communication from the office. I like the mix of online and in person sessions for L4.

I thoroughly enjoyed my training with Astranti. I am extremely satisfied with the support provided by the administration as well as the course design and quality of course material. It helped me build a solid foundation of core counselling concepts and skills.
I really appreciate my tutor Cila; she created a safe holding space for all the students. She was supportive throughout the course and engaged individually with all of us, understanding our unique needs.

I found all the communication with Astranti helpful and timely. Isobel was always on point, replied to all my questions and helped me feel heard and supported. Thoroughly enjoying my fast track training with Astranti Connect. Fully supported and really enjoying the course content and weekly online session. My tutor is excellent and I am lucky to have wonderful peers on the course. I look forward to it so much every week and really enjoy all the tasks, skills practices and homework. Can’t recommend highly enough. Best move I made in my goal to become an accredited counsellor.

UPDATE MAY 2026 — County Court claim now filed against Astranti Connect (claim no. N4QZ2W43) after the company rejected a formal settlement offer. Full update at the end of this review.

Be cautious before signing up. I had read some negative reviews and assumed they were exaggerated. In hindsight, I can see why people may feel stressed or disappointed, and the company’s public responses to negative reviews did not match my experience once enrolled. As of 1 February 2026, their Trustpilot profile showed 56 reviews, with 20% rated 1-star.

I paid £500 on 16 December 2025 and the course commenced on Tuesday 6 January 2026. In week two (within 14 days of the course starting) I raised concerns in writing about admin/process and how requirements were being communicated, and I requested a refund.

The course and delivery did not match what I understood had been communicated to me before signing up. The tutor was conveying instructions that appeared to conflict with the course manual, which we had spent hours reading before the commencement of the class. This caused serious confusion, and this was on top of technical issues with the course manual and the instructions.

On 15 January 2026 I had a meeting with a member of staff where changing the tutor was discussed and I was told that was not an option; alternatively, a refund was discussed as an option. Later the same day I received an email stating no refund would be provided and that I remained liable for the full course fee under the contract. I do not believe that email reflected the substance of the discussion.

On 19 January 2026 I had a further meeting with another staff member. The tone was calm and I believed we were discussing a practical way forward. I asked what support and temporary adjustments could be offered as a gesture of goodwill and was told this would be discussed with a manager and they would get back to me. Shortly afterwards, I received written communications escalating the situation, including allegations that my communications were “hostile towards staff” and warnings about termination, while asserting I remained liable for the full course fee. I do not accept that characterisation.

In my view, the focus shifted from resolving the issues to framing my communications as a conduct problem.

Withdrawing did not feel like a choice; it felt necessary. I have retained copies of the relevant emails and all correspondence with both the tutor and the admin team.

I may update this review in due course.

Update — May 2026:
Initiated legal proceedings against Astranti Connect.
Having received no satisfactory resolution, and after the company declined a formal settlement offer, a County Court claim (N4QZ2W43) has now been filed.
I stand by everything documented in this review. I would strongly encourage anyone considering enrolling to research thoroughly and seek independent legal advice before signing their terms and conditions or committing any deposit.

For anyone already enrolled who is experiencing issues — I would recommend video recording every meeting offered to you, so that you have an objective record of what was discussed and agreed.

I spoke with Isobel who answered all of my questions regarding the counselling profession clearly and in depth. She went above and beyond to ensure I had all of my questions answered. Hugely knowledgable and very kind. I left feeling assured that my decision to pursue the career was the right one.

My experience with Astranti Connect was mired, as there were quite a few administrative issues at the beginning of the course that made completing my level 3 quite difficult. However, due to the amazing teaching of Shaz Siraj, I had an overall positive experience from the qualification. I could not recommend Shaz more, as she made the lessons engaging and I felt like I took so much away from the course, even with its fast-track pace.

I have done an Intensive Level 2 and 3 with Astranti and have now begun the Residential Level 4. The course materials and Tutors have been fantastic and the location, setting, and comfort of the Residential are top quality. I was very anxious coming into Level 4 and the very knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about Counselling Tutors have very much put me at ease - I look forward to the next two years with Astranti.

For a company that train ethical values their conduct and support is appalling. I was allowed to defer a year due to a life event and being diagnosed with a disability that I could not predict and was grateful of this support. Although there was no actual support offered just a deferral. I started again and their IT was never set up correctly. I informed my tutor and emailed several times. I derogatory comment was made about me which I raised as upsetting. I sent numerous emails advising I was having to complete work on paper and purchased new IT equipment as well as booking a year of specialist childcare at a cost to complete the course. Completely unpredictably after I had enrolled my son became critically ill, I never missed a session but did have technical issues ongoing at their end which I contacted them weekly about. I was told to not engage as much in class but then withdrawn for not catching up. After they had advised me to purchase new IT equipment for the course, I had booked specialist childcare. My tutor did not respond to emails where I asked if I could catch up and I have completed work on my system where I could. They were aware I was travelling from hospital to attend class and arranging care there. It was fine for them to delay the start of my course, and fine for substitute teacher to be confirmed the week before. The reason they withdrew me was IT issues that I contact them about but had no response, not updating a workbook they didn’t give me access to and the fact that my tutor did not respond. I had nothing but positive feedback from peers and they were aware of how things were at home. Other than being 10 mins late due to traffic I had 100% attendance and had previously been warned about engaging too much. They were aware I had completed the work but couldn’t upload it as I didn’t have access. But didn’t respond. I have paid a deposit and monthly instalments, childcare and purchased new IT equipment. They have advised me there have been numerous extensive chats with me but there hasn’t been one. They haven’t responded to emails or promised callbacks.
