I’m getting along well with the family and I’m really enjoying my experience

Really bad agency. No respect with au pairs. They just don't care. My APC manager was completely irresponsible. I was expelled from the au pair program after my host dad refused to follow the agency’s own rules and decided to leave the program himself. Instead of holding the host family accountable, they blamed me, claiming I asked for too many rematches, when in reality, I only asked twice. We pay a lot of money to come to the USA trusting this agency, and once we arrive, they do whatever they want and treat au pairs with no respect, like we are disposable. Au Pair Care does not protect au pairs. Stay away from this agency.

Nous avons eu affaire à elles...Aucun sens commercial, désagréables, hautaines et autoritaires avec la jeune...Nous avons vite changé d'organisme !

My experience as an au pair has been incredible. I recently contacted my ex area director (Ana - Dallas) to ask her info about another program they propose. Being on my side without response for days, she reached out to them and then put me in contact with them.

I recommend this agency because even when your experience is done, they are still there to help you !

My experience is going well, I have a good relationship with my hosts and we are thinking about to extend for 1 year more

It wasn't a pleasant experience for my daughter. She had already spent a year as a guest student in Oregon with a wonderful family and was therefore full of anticipation for her year as an au pair in California. Unfortunately, things didn't go very well. The family was completely different from what she had expected and been told. Both children were difficult to manage and completely spoiled by the egalitarian parenting style, and the parents were completely unreasonable. Unfortunately, the pets were also treated very badly. The local organization staff did not support my daughter. They concealed the fact that three au pairs before my daughter had already given up and left. My daughter is in contact with them, and they all complained to AuPairCare, but there were no consequences for the family. She is still in the program and there was no refund or even an apology.

The start of the year, new goals, and ultimately new plans. This has been one of my best experiences, and I hope to continue like this.

My experience has been good, I have met new people and new places

A wonderful cultural addition to our family, we hosted an au pair through AuPairCare, and it was a fantastic experience

Everything so far has been really great. Thanksgiving was lovely with my friends here at home. My host family is perfect, I have nothing to complain about. I feel at home, I feel like part of the family. They help me, they’re empathetic, they’re caring. I already know the area where I live pretty well. I’m planning trips, I’ve already been to New York. Everything is really good and harmonious.

I love my family. I feel like a member of the family, we share a lot of things together. this is the experience of my life.

During the month of November, things continued to go well with my host family and the children. We have a good routine, and I feel comfortable with my responsibilities. I’ve been learning a lot through my daily experience, which has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I’ve also continued working on improving my English and adapting more to life here. Overall, November was a positive month, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep learning and improving in the program.

I am listed on the contract with this au pair agency and was directly impacted by their handling of a rematch. Unfortunately, my experience was marked by repeated communication failures and a lack of transparency.

For weeks, I asked for confirmation of the au pair’s end date and received no clear response. I ultimately learned—only after personally calling the agency—that her last day of work was days away. As a parent relying on consistent childcare, finding this out last-minute was incredibly stressful and avoidable.

More concerning was the absence of clear boundaries during the rematch process. I learned that the au pair planned to vacation socially with one parent while in active rematch, which raised serious concerns about professionalism, neutrality, and judgment. At no point was this proactively disclosed or addressed by the agency.

When families are navigating childcare transitions—especially in complex or sensitive circumstances—clear communication, professionalism, and adherence to boundaries are essential. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

I would strongly encourage prospective families to ask detailed questions upfront about communication protocols, rematch procedures, and professional boundaries, and to ensure all parties on the contract are treated equally and kept fully informed.

I would never recommend this company ever.
