I went to Puerto Rico with my friend last month. That was super fun and new experience for me!

AuPair Care has been an amazing company to work with! They make the whole experience so much easier by setting you up with an Area Director who is always there to support you. Because of them, I’ve been able to meet lots of friends in my area, which has made the experience so much more fun and less lonely. Having an Area Director also makes me feel a lot safer and more confident knowing that I have someone to turn to if I ever need help. I’m really grateful for everything they’ve done to make my time here such a positive experience!

That family included me at all, they are really cute!

Our family has truly gained a new member with our au pair! The ability to interview many au pairs prior to a match was invaluable, and we were able to match with someone who has been a great fit. The cultural exchange component has been so enriching for our family as well.

My experience is really great because my host family does everything to make me feel at home here, for example, before I arrived, my host mother asked me what I was eating for breakfast and to buy everything before I arrived. She showed me around the whole neighborhood, involved me in everything and gave me the choice. My host mother also pushes me to live my adventure to the fullest. She wants me to meet people and go out. She trusts me from the first day I arrived. We had discussed things and I was aware of the rules of the house, so I had no surprises when I arrived. We were very honest from the beginning of our discussions.

The cost of living here is too expensive and if you want save money this is not gonna help you

I think my experience is being so good thanks to my host family

I’m trying to adapt myself better at my host family routine, I’m trying to apply their tips about dealing better with the kids. I take a driving lesson which is helping me to become more confident about driving in the us.

My experience over these 3 months has been incredible. My hosts have made this a truly memorable experience for me. They treat me like family. I’ve also made some really Good friends and it’s been fun getting to know Austin with them.

I strongly caution anyone considering this agency for au pair services. Our experience was extremely disappointing and, at times, unsafe. We had three au pair placements through this agency. Two of them, in our opinion, lacked the qualifications and readiness to be left alone with children. If proper vetting had been done, these placements should never have moved forward.

In one especially serious incident, our most recent au pair left our 3-year-old unattended next to our backyard pool for over 10 minutes while she went inside, closed the door, and took a personal phone call. This was a potentially fatal situation. Fortunately, we received a door alert notification and intervened in time. When we reported this, the agency's Director of Customer Experience, Jane, showed no concern or urgency regarding what happened.

The placement ended in less than a week, yet the agency is refusing to refund the $8,000 in program fees we paid. Their own Area Director documented the incident and confirmed the safety concerns, but the agency continues to hide behind contract language rather than take responsibility.

They have been highly responsive when collecting payments but unresponsive and dismissive when addressing serious issues. It feels like they care only about revenue, not the well-being of the families they claim to support. We are now pursuing legal action and filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. Based on other reviews, it is clear our experience is not unique.

I hope this review helps other families avoid going through what we did.

It is a good experience to meet other au pairs, but one of the goals is to take part in the training where several important things about our stay in the United States are explained. However, since this training is held on the same day we arrive (and some au pairs arrive in New York City late), some do not take part in the training and miss out on valuable information.

The agency has given us a number of good au pairs.
But the last Chinese one couldn’t drive and damaged the car three times. The agency refused to try to get the au pair to pay for the last car damage and let her go.
It was not a good experience.

Was nice summer time, we went to Disneyland, nice dinners and great time together

Je suis restée sept mois inscrite dans cette agence, avec l’objectif sérieux et sincère de partir en tant qu’au pair. Pendant tout ce temps, j’ai été patiente, investie, j’ai respecté toutes les étapes du processus, j’ai pris le temps d’échanger avec les familles avec politesse et bienveillance. Pourtant, je n’ai jamais été mise en relation avec une famille d’accueil sérieuse, et encore moins accompagnée comme une candidate devrait l’être.

Les familles me ghostaient régulièrement, certaines ne répondaient jamais, d'autres annulaient au dernier moment sans même s'excuser. J’ai même attendu 40 minutes pour un entretien avec une famille, qui m’a ensuite annoncé par WhatsApp qu’ils avaient trouvé une autre au pair. Et quand j’ai partagé tout ça avec l’agence, on m’a simplement répondu : "Ce n’est pas de notre faute." Aucune prise en charge, aucun soutien.

Pire encore : on m’a reproché d’être "froide" ou "impolie" alors que tous mes messages ont toujours été rédigés dans un ton respectueux et professionnel. Exemple : j’ai proposé un appel WhatsApp au lieu d’un appel vidéo car j’étais en déplacement, en m’excusant poliment. Résultat ? On m’accuse d’avoir mal parlé. Un comble.

Et pour couronner le tout : je n’ai jamais vu ma référente en sept mois. Aucun suivi, aucune prise de nouvelles, aucun accompagnement. L’agence ne m’a jamais contactée pour faire un point ou me motiver dans cette aventure. On m’a laissée seule dans le processus.

Et lorsque j’ai enfin pris la parole au téléphone, un peu agacée par cette accumulation de manque de respect et de négligence, on a tout simplement décidé de clôturer mon dossier. Oui, j’ai été virée. Pas parce que j’ai manqué de respect, mais parce que j’ai eu l’audace de dire les choses telles qu’elles sont.

Cette agence ne pense qu’à une chose : l’argent. Pas aux jeunes qui s’inscrivent avec espoir, qui donnent de leur temps et de leur énergie. Si vous cherchez une agence humaine, impliquée, avec un vrai accompagnement : FUYEZ. Vous méritez mieux.

Je suis aujourd’hui suivie par une autre agence bien plus sérieuse. Certes plus chère, mais au moins je suis respectée et accompagnée. Et ça, ça n’a pas de prix.

I am grateful for the connections I have made during my stay as an au pair, Thanks to the support i was given from the beginning of my process until the end after 2 years. Even though we have the monthly Au pair meetings, I would like to suggest more support from the Area directors to those girls who are going through tough situations such as rematch and families who do not follow the rules and take advantage of our lack of communication and expertise in the language.
