A poor product with known issues combined with abysmal dismissive customer support! Honestly avoid this company.

I got drawn in by the fancy Facebook ads, as I was searching for a 3x4 Parasol, and the patented gimmicky wind resistance seemed good from the website. (Spoiler those wind spines are noisy in real world conditions and a solid cover is much better now I have a 4SO one!)

I saw the sign on the top of the website (which has now been removed probably because of me!) saying, "delivery within 5 working days". They didn't keep to this, and had zero apologies sighting that the courier "must have delays". Everytime I have contacted their customer support, they have been instantly dismissive, presumptuous, and try and close you down at the earliest opportunity. Customers are really an inconvenience to this company it seems.

The product itself once erected had a loud creaking noise coming from the crank at the slightest whiff of any wind. I sent them a video of this asking if it was normal, and was told "It is a known warranty issue". They offered to exchange the frame if I kept the canopy, which they promised was "easy to swap over", at the time the video of this was missing from their FAQ site. I then found it on their YouTube page. What I found was a job that required 2 adults with two step ladders to re-attach the canopy, hardly easy requiring tools and manpower!!

After establishing this company has zero goodwill for when they get things wrong, we agreed that the whole unit and base would be returned for a refund.

The unit was then collected by the courier they organised (luckily I kept the boxes!!) and they informed me it would take up to 10 days for the refund after collection.

After 12 days and no refund I emailed them to chase this up. 4 days later I had a kurt message starting with "Dear Client". Couldn't even be bothered to use my name!? And then asked me when it was collected as it hadn't reached their warehouse yet!?!? Why on earth they couldn't just pick up the phone to their own couriers I do not know!?

The person that sent me this message saw the error of their ways and said they would just issue the refund.

I am now the owner of a 3x4 4SO Hacienda - much better than this canopy and with solid customer support! They even delivered and set it up for me for free!

Belveo are rude and arrogant with a poor product. Honestly avoid them.

Product and seeviceI bought a cantilever parasol and base…

I bought a cantilever parasol and base from this company 2 years ago. I was very impressed the with the quality of the products and support service. I was talked through the inserting the parasol into the base as I didn’t have a clue despite the instructions. 2 years on contacted customer services for a replacement pice I had mislaid. They with little information tracked down the piece and had it sent out extremely quickly. Great company, wonderful service and excellent customersupport

Windproof cantilever parasol Mistral

Fantastic product. I love the ability to use cantilever mechanism in multiple positions and of course the wind resistance is brilliant. With the Parasol base on wheels it is so practical and easy to manoeuvre.

Bought a cantilever parasol

Bought a cantilever parasol, a month or so ago. Very good quality, and very good in the wind so far. There was a piece missing from the parasol initially, and support was great - very responsive, immediately shipped it free of charge. Recommended!

Website Presentation Misleading – Order Cancelled

I placed an order with Belveo for a parasol based on the product photos and description on their website. However, after ordering, I discovered that the product being delivered wasn’t what was shown — the canopy was substituted for lower grade product worth £250 less, and delivery was to be split across two stages to deliver the remaining product during winter next year. There no clear indication of this during checkout or in the confirmation email.

The only way to uncover this was by scrolling far down the product page after placing the order — something a reasonable customer wouldn’t expect to have to do to confirm basic order details. The product identifiers didn’t match, and the communication created a completely misleading impression of what was being purchased.

When I raised my concerns with screenshots of the checkout process, the company acknowledged the lack of clarity but offered no meaningful resolution other than a full cancellation, despite my attempt to reach a reasonable compromise.

Ultimately, I chose to cancel before delivery, but I’m left frustrated and disappointed. For a premium-priced product, I expected much better transparency and customer experience. I won’t be ordering from Belveo again.

Update: I would like to add that despite cancelling and closing my order with Belveo. The still contacted me by phone and attempted to dispute my experience, as they have done before on email. By trade I am a solution architect and design complex online systems for a living I know a misleading process when I see one. I clearly evidenced my experience to the company with screenshots. I highly recommend anyone remotely considering this company to think twice before using their online ordering system. What was in my basket invoiced and paid for was not what I was going to receive. The fact that company can’t see past this and have repeatedly tried to use hidden terms on the product page as an excuse speaks for itself.

I’m simply glad that I spotted it on the delivery company’s confirmation and cancelled it before I had to deal with any returns process. This post is simply to protect any future customers having my experience or worse.

A good product that we needed to…

A good product that we needed to replace a worn out parasol. I am happy with it although getting it fitted to our table was a problem. The pole diameter was larger than our previous pole and other normal sized poles and on checking Belveo's website to see where I had missed the dimension found it was not there at all. It would be helpful for an alert on the website as I needed to modify the pole considerably.
Also when the delivery contractor contacted me I was astonished to find that they intended to charge me extra were I not to be in when they delivered the parasol. This I found very concerning as I had no contract with them but my contract was with Belveo who offered free delivery.

Good experience from beginning to end

Information on the website is clear, I emailed on a minor query and got a rapid response. Ordering was easy and delivery was rapid (two people more than happy to carry everything to where we wanted it). Putting the parasol together was simple, I'm really impressed at the quality, all that is now needed is some decent weather!

With all the hassle I’ve been through…

With all the hassle I’ve been through trying to just have a handle replacement I’ve now had a new arm delivered meaning I’ve got to take off the old canopy and put it on the new arm
