Sono ancora in attesa di rimborso da gennaio 2024, la giacca che ho reso per taglia sbagliata è stata resa correttamente con tanto di ricevute di spedizione del reso e tutto il necessario per il reso.
Nonostante tutto , dopo vari tentativi di contatto con l’ufficio clienti che mi ha sempre rimbalzato le risposte più disparate e nonostante io abbia nelle scorse settimane ricontattato il servizio clienti ancora non ho ricevuto il rimborso ( una cifra importante ). Fate attenzione ad acquistare e poi rendere perché io sto aspettando reclamando i miei diritti da mesi. Mai accaduto con nessun negozio online.
Horrendous customer service
Wow, ordered jacket with express next day delivery within cut off time, for a birthday present. 4 days later rang customer services who were rude and stated I did not have express delivery, even though it was clearly stated on my order. CS stated the order would be shipped in next 24 hr with a 3-5 working day delivery. If I sent a snapshot of my account to their messages department they would review but have a 24-48 hr turnaround to answer, so basically it will be a week late, and they don't care.
Like berghaus gear, but as a company their CS and attitude rates a 0/10.
Hiking shoes falling apart
Hiking shoes falling apart, GTX gore tex shoes lasted less than a year after little use, soles coming away and material disintegrating, wet feet after walking through a wet field (not waterproof) ordered a size larger and still tight, After paying over £100 for these will never touch berghaus products again
Quality? Only the price and pretention of it
Sent in a Cornice jacket for zipper repairs to the repair house in Germany.
I received from them following email:
many thanks for your repair order. After examination of the complete jacket we have to tell you this jacket isn't repairable anymore. Inside coating is coming off all over. New tapes wont cover over seams. Additional all zippers are broken. We feel very sorry, here we can't offer any repair. We will return your jacket without any repair by DHL. For any other replacement offer please contact Berghaus with your case no. We are only authorised for repair possibilities.

So I sent following to Berghaus and of course never heard from them again:
Dear Sirs,
I'm sincerely disappointed in the quality of your product
I don't have an invoice to prove it, but I know I bought this jacket less than 2,5 years back. Since I bought it to walk our new dog in wintertime and she is now just over 2,5 years old.
Zippers that started to get faulty quite early after the purchase and now it proves to that the whole jacket has deteriorated.
It's been washed only a few times with all respect for the washing procedures prescribed
A discount on a fresh one will probably not work, since I don't think the quality will be better than the current one.
I will review other brands and buy a new jacket quickly, since spring hasn't really come here yet
I think you should start instructing your purchase department not to buy the cheapest, but to get the quality you pretend to deliver
Waterproof , I don’t think so !
Been meaning to review my Hydroshell Waterproof Shell Jacket for some time. As the description suggests it should be waterproof, having been soaked through several times I can honestly say it’s about as waterproof as a paper towel.
Shocking company!
Shocking company!! A pair of very expensive walking boots, have to say very comfy but after 13 months walking an elderly dog, so no mountains!! completely ripped, they said they were unrepairable, and offered a pathetic discount! or i can send them in at my own cost for them to look at. I have stuff from Berghaus that has literally lasted years! including the 3 year old walking boots i had prior! i just fancied the leather ones. so back to my old ones now! Dont know what has happened with this company but clearly a massive 'cost cutting' exercise going on.

Stay away from this "Brand"
This is from years back but it doesn't look like Berghaus has changed so....I bought a rather expensive Jacket (550€) called Berghaus Extreme 7000. This is a specialty Jacket for Mountaineering. After only several wears (maybe 20) the zipper broke. I sent it in for repair. Had to pay postage myself. No compensation. OK. Several wears later (another 20-30), the zipper broke. Again. I did not send it in (Fin-UK postage is about 40e x 2 = 80e). Repaired it locally. Within a couple of years (less than 100 wears in total) the sealing started leaking. Called customer service. They refused to repair it under warranty conditions. Repaired it myself. After that the bungy cord for hood adjustment broke, one Velcro for wrist adjustment tore off and were numerous design flaws I noticed only after wearing it for a while. Never again a Berghaus product. If you want quality buy Arc'Teryx, Patagonia, Cumulus etc.
These people refused to refund me for an item I returned!
I purchased two items online and returned one of them unused. I received an email from Berghaus to acknowledge receipt of my return, but the wrong item was listed, the item they were saying I returned I still have and is very inexpensive compared to what I returned. I queried this with Berghaus and after several calls it was referred to their investigations team. After a lot of back and forth, over a period of weeks, included in which i sent them proof of return and a photo of the item I still have - which they say they have received back - they blocked my account so I couldnt log in, and when I called to ask what was going on I was told that a final decision had been made that a refund was not going to be made.

Stay away from Berghaus!! I have emailed every day and made several calls since the 25th of October trying to get a refund for a coat I purchased for £220! The stress it causes me on a daily basis I can’t even explain.the worst customer service I have ever experienced still no refund.
I sent them tracking that they asked for they said they received the coat and that I would be receiving a refund (about 5 times they told me this)
Now they want to see an original receipt which I do not have anymore as they told me they had received the product and I have the emails to prove it.. even though I have given them the tracking no that they provide through there own returns portal! It says delivered!it’s not evidence apparently?
Reading these reviews I’m not the only one and this is a serious concern because who else are they doing this too!? It’s making me ill, £220 they have of mine! And the item back, in its original packaging within the return period! I’m honestly going out of my mind, this needs to be shared all over the place!

Le 15 Novembre, je relance, on me dit que ça peut prendre encore 3 à 5 jours,
Le 17 Novembre, on me demande d'attendre 10 Jours de plus,
Le 27 Novembre, ils me demandent la preuve du dépot du colis... preuve qui avait déjà été donnée le 8 Novembre
Le 29 Novembren on me redemande d'attendre 3 à 5 jours ouvrés,
Je relance le 4 Décembre, on me répond le 5 Décembre en me demandant d'attendre 72 heures,
Le 7 Décembre, je relance, on me demande d'attendre 10 Jours,
Le 17 Décembre, on me dit : avez vous reçu un remboursement ? Je réponds que non... on me dit : le remboursement part ce jour, vous l'aurez dans 2 à 5 jours...
Le 21 Décembre, toujours rien, je relance, et on me demande de fournir la preuve de dépot du colis...
A ce jour, on me redemande une photo de la preuve de dépot, photo qu'ils ont déjà eu deux fois, je me fais balader de service en service, bref, je laisse tomber, 210euros de perdus, super !

Incompetence at highest level
Order a Jacket of 250£ and received the wrong number.
Contact the costumer service strait away and they agreed to refund me after I return the jacket.
What appended on 22/11/2023.
After 6 or 7 times call the costumer service and several excuses, they are too busy, today Cael told me that the warehouse is too big they need time to find my return.
After one month i still don't have my money back.
for a first time costumer the first impression is terrible and of course I'm not risk my money on these company again.
Bring back proper metal zips
I have used Berghaus equipment for decades and was a very happy customer until the last few years when the zip design changed from chunky metal zips (robust and reliable) to thin, weak, pathetic plastic zips that catch on the pocket material, misalign, randomly open up or separate from the waste line. Honestly I would no longer trust Berghaus coats on a serious winter Cairngorms walk. Please Berghaus, bring back proper metal zips.

Goretex jacket a few years old with a broken zip and a lifetime warranty. Superb zip repair, looks like new, completely free with no hassle whatsoever. My lifetime to Mountain Equipment allegiance just switched to Berghaus, a proper green company.

Disappointed
I've been purchasing and using Berghaus products for over thirty years. My first Berghaus was a polartec fleece jacket, a red wine coloured jacket with a polar bear motif on the chest. And I was hooked! That fleece was perfect! I wore it everywhere, to the pub, up Ben Nevis, under my combat jacket on military exercises. Warm, cosy. Then the zip bust but only after ten years of constant usage. Utterly dependable!
Purchased another Berghaus fleece circa 1999, and another in 2003. Also three different Berghaus Goretex jackets between 1993 and 2003.
This is my problem today. In the last three months I've purchased a Berghaus Goretex jacket, the Maitland. And yesterday the Torus fleece. I've noticed the quality of both to be below what I would expect from Berghaus. Loads of attached labels on both products declaring recycled materials and lowering carbon emissions, so I'm wondering if this is their way of saying we're cutting costs by using cheaper materials and manufacturing techniques?
Putting the Maitland jacket to one side as I've not really worn it in testing conditions, today we had the first frosts of the year, so I wore my brand new Torus which is made with Polartec material. First impressions? I pulled the draw cord to tighten the bottom half, to trap body heat. The draw cord is stitched in on one side, and it broke free from the stitching. Next, the length of the sleeves. Most probably a good five inches too long! Why the need for all that extra material? I wore the fleece on the school run. I noticed chill around the elbows, under the armpits and across the back areas. Never experienced this before with a Berghaus fleece! This is supposed to be a windbreaker fleece, Polartec, yet I noticed a chill.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. With a name like Berghaus I would expect quality, I'll even pay extra for that quality. If they're using cheaper materials then state it as a 'budget range'. I have a work fleece that cost me ten quid which out performs the Berghaus! Nowadays there are no stores I can go to to try on and see these jackets before parting with my hard earned wage, so its blind testing at home.
Disappointed.

Berghaus Supalite Gortex walking boots . This is my 3rd pair of Berghaus Supalites as I do a lot of daily walking so need to rotate boot use regularly . First two pairs are over 2 & 3 years old but still watertight . The newest pair however (both boots) starting leaking like a sieve after 12 months. To make matters worse, once the insides are wet they take forever to dry out due to the GTX layer so are a complete waste of time !! Clearly a case of value engineering compromising product quality. I won't be buying again

A product has been showing 'coming soon' for six weeks, on livechat I asked, they had no idea. It was showing coming soon on Tuesday morning and now showing 'sold out' I can't believe this is right, all four colours and all sizes. Just what is going on, pathetic for such a large company.

Main zip broke on a rucksack I've had for 15 years. They fixed it for free and posted it back. Great service from a truly sustainable company!
