I couldn’t recommend Gary Dalby enough, he is by far the best in the industry. His knowledge, attention to detail and genuine care about his clients is incredible. He went above and beyond for us to make sure we understood everything and applied for the best product for our needs. Our case wasn’t straight forward but it couldn’t have gone any smoother and that’s all down to Gary’s care, going the extra mile and amazing communication. Appalling customer service.

I was initially asked for my details and was provisionally accepted. I was specifically told that only a **soft credit search** would be carried out. However, the following morning I received an alert that a **hard credit search** had been recorded on my credit file, which can affect my credit rating.

I was then asked to upload extensive documentation, including payslips, bank statements and proof of identity. After providing everything requested, I received a brief email a few hours later simply stating that they could not offer me anything and wishing me good luck.

When I asked for an explanation or any advice as to why my application had been declined, I received no response from the colleague handling my case. Prior to that email, they had been extremely prompt in replying, so the complete lack of communication afterwards was very disappointing.

I find the whole process questionable\. A hard search was carried out despite being told it would only be a soft search, and no explanation or guidance was provided. I feel I have been left in a worse position than before I applied.

I intend to raise this matter with the Financial Ombudsman, as I believe the way my application was handled was unfair and lacked transparency.

It was easy seamless and I was supported all the way through.

I got all the support and advice needed all through the journey.

We had a very great experience with Better.co. A friend referred us and informed us we can get a free mortgage advisor for free from the company. Application was easy. Steven and Chris were very helpful in finding the best deal for us. They were able to help us get the best rates for our mortgage and life insurance. They are very accommodating and they were able to answer our questions very promptly. Highly recommended service.

The Better Team were great, the ONEDOME platform a great idea but never updated by the recommended Conveyors whose communication was at best poor.

Used better for my first mortgage and then for my re-mortgage, and won't be using them again. Process was painful, and constant issues with communication. Ended up having to rush home to provide urgent information that the lender required. Their emails seems to be often flagged as spam and doesn't even come through to the spam folder, so it never arrives to the customer. After informing them of this issue, they still kept only communicating through to the same email, only waiting until 1 hour before deadline to call me to let me know what was needed. Unprofessional overall. I dealt with steven and Gemma.
