The staff at our check was AMAZING! Prior to our check in we called a few times with question and each person who answered was friendly and was able to answer every question. We even got a cool cabin doggy bowl for our doggy.

From the initial payment to the final check out the communication was smooth and easily understood. Any questions I had were answered promptly. When we were short towels, some were delivered almost immediately.

The place needs to be revamped and…
The place needs to be revamped and cleaned well. The carpet in living room was filthy, it hadn't been vacuumed. The sheets provided weren't clean (I found a stain on the bedsheets in the room). The sheets for the pullout bed had dog hair (gave me allergies). The orange pillow on the couch were stained with what looked to be blood.....

The whole experience was overall great
The whole experience was great. It was extremely easy to book and self check-in, check-out. The only downside was our cabin only had 2 fans for the 3 bedrooms. In summer, the temperature does get uncomfortable during the day and trying to cool down for sleep was cumbersome with having to move fans around because there weren't enough. Some of the window screens had significant holes, so we weren't able to fully open the windows either. Keep in mind if booking in summer.

Two plus Two
The size of the cabin, tho small, was just what we needed: two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The cabin was pristine when we arrived and was loaded with every kitchen item that we would need. This is our third time using this cabin. The back deck, tho small is large enough for four and the BBQ. Also, we found the neighborhood quiet!!

Just one complaint
Just didn’t like the time restrictions on using the hot tub because that’s why we paid extra for that experience and it was unfortunately limited. It has to do with the cities quiet our I believe which is out of their hands but a hot tub isn’t loud

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate you sharing your thoughts regarding the hot tub hours.
We understand that guests look forward to enjoying this amenity, especially when booking a home with a hot tub. The usage restrictions are set by local regulations regarding quiet hours and are outside of our control, but we appreciate your understanding.
Thank you for choosing Big Bear Cool Cabins, and we hope to welcome you back for another relaxing mountain getaway soon!
Nice cabin, good experience with company
We've visited Big Bear for many years and have rented from Big Bear Cool Cabins for the last several. Their process for renting has gotten much easier and streamlined with automation- however a person still responds to questions promptly and helpfully. The cabin we rented this year was perfect for our family of 4- well maintained and really charming!

The cabin was clean and had everything…
The cabin was clean and had everything you needed for a great stay. Only criticism is the check in/check out process. We left home without an access code and only received it once we were on the road. With Airbnb you typically have that information hours before leaving. Knowing you'll be able to get in once you get there is important and an hour and a half before check in will make most people nervous. Tried using the app to check out and it indicated that "you're out of the state so we can't check you out" (we live in the same county/state as the cabin). We finally texted Cool Cabins that we had left and never received an acknowledgement.

Hi James,
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re glad you found the cabin clean, well-equipped, and enjoyed your overall stay.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the check-in and check-out process. We understand how important it is to have your arrival information in advance. We did send your access code by text at 2:00 PM, which was two hours before your scheduled 4:00 PM check-in time. We're sorry if there was any confusion or concern before you received it.
Regarding check-out, we never received a text message from you letting us know you had departed. We apologize that the app gave you an error during check-out and understand how frustrating that must have been.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience and hope to welcome you back for an even smoother stay next time!
Not really a happy camper
The cabin was perfect for our use having dogs with us. We liked the location and the back deck was wonderful.
However:
The walkway of rocks was really uneven making walking a little difficult
It got so terribly hot even with the little pull around cooler.
The yard looks very neglected and there’s trash
The slider and windows had dirt and bugs-very dirty.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear the cabin was a great fit for you and your dogs, and that you enjoyed the location and relaxing back deck. We appreciate you bringing the walkway, yard condition, and cleanliness of the windows and slider to our attention. We’ll share your comments with our maintenance, and housekeeping teams so these items can be addressed. We’re also sorry the warmer temperatures made the cabin less comfortable during your stay.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. It helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a better experience in the future.
My husband and I stayed at the cabin…
My husband and I stayed at the cabin Moonridge Hideaway just recently. I booked this cabin because it got positive reviews. However this cabin definitely does not live up to these reviews. The place smells like urine and it’s just overwhelming. The sectional couch in the living room is falling apart and the cushions are so worn out that it feels like you’re sitting on wooden crates. It should be replaced!! There is very poor lighting in the cabin too. I needed to use my phone flashlight a lot in order to see things. The beds are not bad except they are very squeaky. The place is not very clean… especially the floor and baseboard in the bathroom, We were suppose to stay 4 nights but after the second night the smell was just making us both so ill that we left. I called the number for Cool Cabins to explain what happened and the person on the phone was not at all concerned and just said “I will let housekeeping know.” The money they are charging for this place makes me believe that the owners have no shame and neither do cool cabins property management.
Update to my previous review. I called Big Bear Cool cabins today and spoke to a different person. She was very helpful and is refunding me back for the nights I paid for and did not stay. This was a much better customer service experience. Thank you BBCC for addressing this matter.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience at Moonridge Hideaway did not meet your expectations and that you chose to end your stay early.
We were surprised to read your review, as we have not previously received feedback describing the home in the manner you experienced it. That said, we take every guest's comments seriously and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered regarding the odor, cleanliness, furniture, lighting, and your interaction with our team. This is not the level of experience we strive to provide, and we understand how disappointing this must have been.

We also apologize that you felt your concerns were not acknowledged appropriately when you called, as we always want our guests to feel heard and supported.
