Staff was very helpful when a problem arose
Cabin was great but needs some TLC to fix a sharp part in the carpet just before walking into the kitchen, the blinds are wonky and one key piece is missing in downstairs bedroom window, and upstairs bathroom bath doesn’t hold water for bath. Otherwise a great cabin in a great location! We had a fabulous time !

This place is amazing. Comfortable and very easy to navigate around the area. The host was always checking on us just in case we needed anything.
The food in the area is really yummy and for additional cravings, there is a 7-eleven right next to it.
I would definitely stay here again!

Great location, great backyard for the dog. He got to see squirrels and rabbits in the yard. Small cabin but adequate for two and a dog.

Clean and Cute
With the bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms on the second, the stairs, especially in the middle
of the night, were quite steep and they felt a bit unsafe. However, the place was clean and cute.

Beautiful Cabin and Friendly Customer Service
The cabin we had was beautiful and we made some great memories with our family! Cool cabins employees were always very helpful and friendly when I would call with questions before our trip. I also liked the portal online for our reservation, it made it easy to make payments for the cost and had useful information regarding the cabin. Would use Cool Cabins again for next vacation to Big Bear.

Great customer service, but mediocre cabin experience
The customer service from management was professional and friendly. That is 5 stars, for sure. The cleanliness and condition of our cabin (Gnome Chalet), however, was not. When we arrived, all three bathrooms were dirty - toilets had a mildew ring, the counters had quite a bit of dust, the bathtub unusable for the kids because it was dirty, and the fabric shower curtain was either mildewy or something as it smelled musty and a little like urine. The rest of the cabin was very dusty and had lots of dead flies scattered about, as well as cobwebs everywhere. For a mandatory $200 cleaning fee, I expect a little better than basic cleanliness. I took pictures, spoke to management, and they did offer partial refund on the cleaning fee. I would definitely book through them again, but will maybe scout better reviewed cabins in the future.

We sincerely apologize that the cleanliness and condition of Gnome Chalet did not meet expectations. The issues you described regarding the bathrooms, dust, cobwebs, and overall housekeeping are not reflective of the standards we strive to maintain. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and providing photos, which allowed us to address them promptly.
We will be sharing your feedback with the housekeeper to ensure these items are corrected and better inspections are conducted moving forward. Thank you again for your honesty, and we truly appreciate that you would consider booking with us again. We look forward to providing you with a much-improved experience on your next visit.
