Over Big House Experience
Geschreven door het bedrijf
Our aim is simple: to offer truly wonderful experiences in truly exceptional houses, for groups of friends and families. We have curated our fabulous collection of large houses to rent with great care. Each and every house has been hand-picked with those truly wonderful experiences in mind. All have oodles of space, luxury as standard, and unique features that add the ‘wow’ factor.
We’re a family business. It started with just the two of us; husband and wife duo, Gareth and Claire Allen. We’re developing a team of lovely like-minded people around us as we grow, who will make sure we never lose that family business feel. And that means we’ll never lose that level of personal service that our wonderful guests have come to love.
We are selective. And unapologetically so. We feature only houses we’d be genuinely excited about staying in ourselves. It’s not about numbers for us – we’re happy to keep our collection of properties small and beautiful if that means we can recommend each property with confidence and pride.

Eastwold Barn, Sherburn
We stayed at Eastwold Barn for a week. The space has been beautifully converted and the house is really well equipped. The gardens are beautifully planted and screened from the road giving a perfect private feel. Great location for the Yorkshire Wolds and the coast at Scarborough.

Lovely week at Beach Manor
We stayed for a week at Beach Manor, the most stunning house I have ever seen. Beautiful interior, huge grounds right on the beach, pool/sauna/steam room/gym. The owner was lovely and left us a welcome gift basket. Booking with the Big House experience was easy, lots of helpful communication and information about the house.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and use Big House Experience in the future. Definitely 10/10 👍

The Hideaway was a perfect venue!
Wow! We had a fantastic stay at The Hideaway for my sister’s Hen Party. The house was amazing- immaculate, well equipped with everything we needed and the owner Laury was welcoming and friendly. Communication with her and the friendly staff at The Big House experience leading up to our stay was prompt and useful which all helped contribute to a flawless weekend. We used Epic Caterers for an evening who were fantastic- a delicious three course meal and canapés was served to 18 of us, everything delicious and well presented by an amazing chef and server.
Couldn’t rate this all enough, my party and I had a brilliant weekend and numerous friends have already asked me for stay details to plan their future gatherings!

Big House - Great Experience…
Big House Experience are great to deal with, there is always someone on the other end of the phone to help with enquries/problems.
This was our second year booking with them and we were't disappointed, The Hideaway in South Gloucestershire was beyond expectation giving us all the accoommodation we needed for a large group (16) holiday. The owner, Laury, who lives next door, was friendly, helpful and easily contactable in case of need. The location was well placed for many varied walks, even a trip to Bristol took only 25 minutes and Park and Ride made it even easier.
We would definitely recommend this property and location.

Big Birthday, Big House
We were celebrating a special birthday and stayed at the glorious Wisteria House. Our party consisted of 12 Adults and 6 Children ranging from 8 to 16. The house is beautifully laid out and decorated in a stunning location. The house was well equipped for all our needs including double dishwashers. We particularly liked the outside table for 18, the manicured grounds and the undercover swimming pool with bifold doors. Even though there were 18 of us it never felt over crowded. The use of the private lake was a bonus for watersports. Each bedrooms were individual and enough bathrooms to cater for the big group. The house felt like someone’s home instead of a rental. We are already planning our next big event.

Fallbarrow Hall
We booked a long weekend at Fallbarrow Hall for my Dad's 80th birthday and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The house itself was wonderful and the location, a 5-minute walk into Bowness-on-Windermere, was perfect. We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.

Wonderful weekend at Ty Bryn.
I was looking for a special place to celebrate a big birthday, something with the wow factor that would be remembered by my friends and family for years to come. Ty Bryn didn’t disappoint! What a fabulous house, set in a stunning location on the shores of the Menai Strait. You arrive along a drive which opens up to reveal the white towered house that’s flying a flag, set back from the sea and surrounded my trees that look like manicured bonsai. Step inside and take in the eclectic mix of interior design styles from the tropical Macaw ballroom to the minimalist kitchen and dining room with one the biggest glass tables with one of the best views I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. All the bedrooms were beautifully appointed, so all the guests were not disappointed, with great beds and views. The Lilly Langtry has a Caesar bed which is 8 feet wide! I could go on about the other features - games room, hot tubs etc. This place brought the best out of my friends and family. Everyone was happy and great company. I work in a high pressure industry and this place was a great for the soul and a place to recharge. I kept thinking how can I afford to buy this amazing house? Finally I’d like to mention that the whole process with the Big House Experience was excellent. Communication was very good from start to finish with any questions and issues being addressed promptly, even on a Sunday, when there was short a power cut on the island. If you’ve found this gem, go, I thoroughly recommend it.
