STAY AWAY FROM BLACKBOX AI.

I cancelled my subscription in August 2025. Since then, Cours Connect, Inc. (d/b/a Blackbox AI, CEO Richard Rizk, Mountain View, California) has charged my cards 47 separate unauthorized times for a total of USD 1,806.82. They use FIVE rotating Stripe descriptors (F39AAA39, W794MUOL, UF1ZVCGR, LBQMZGUF, I2L20VMJ) to evade card-issuer fraud detection. I received ZERO receipts, invoices, or notifications for any of these 47 charges.

When I complained, they issued 10 "partial refunds" of USD 193.96 each — and then reversed every single one. Net refund: USD 0. This is a deliberate scheme to reset chargeback timers and stall disputes.

Over 20 emails and support tickets (#3693, #5424, #8064) sent to support emails have been ignored or answered only with automated stalling replies.

I have now filed formal complaints with:
- US Federal Trade Commission (Report #200346496)
- California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation (Complaint #CN0043040)
- California Attorney General
- FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)
- BBB Scam Tracker
- eConsumer.gov / ICPEN (international consumer network)
- Stripe Trust & Safety (the payment processor enabling this)

This company is engaged in systematic billing fraud targeting international consumers. Do NOT give them your card details under any circumstances. If you already have, cancel your card immediately and dispute every charge with your bank.

I definitely do not recommend this service. Their marketing is extremely aggressive, and they present themselves as a high-quality platform, but in my experience, the reality is the exact opposite. They offer their Pro plan for $2 for the first month, so I decided to try it and see whether it was actually worth it. Honestly, it is not. The service only provides a very limited selection of AI models, and even those do not seem nearly as capable as advertised. I also got the impression that some of these models are set up to present themselves as "flagship" models, even though the actual results do not support that image. Another major issue is the overall user experience. The interface feels chaotic and poorly designed, and it lacks even basic features that users would normally expect from this kind of web application. For example, there does not seem to be any option to delete chat history, which is an important feature from both a usability and privacy standpoint. On top of that, some of the models do not respond at all, which makes the platform feel unreliable and unfinished.

Overall, my experience with this service was very disappointing. If someone wants to save those $2, they would be better off buying a small coffee, which would definitely be more useful than this service.

A scam company. Keep taking money from me, cannot log in and cancel due to them saying that my email is just a temp email, because I have a @me.com email. I have send multiple emails and also tried the chat, no one cares and no one answers.

Quite average AI tool that advertises advanced functionality which one can easily figure out locally. Argentic harness is not on the same level as the majority of the other tools, so that objectively there is little point to Blackbox.

Seems like the company is creating fake reviews, as somehow there is a bunch of folks whose only review is a positive one for Black Box, saying very generic comments that sound robotic and are not actually sharing anything about the real experience.

Customer support is either useless AI or very incompetent people. As I have clearly stated in my support request that I have no ability to download an invoice, I received the response that I can do it under a certain link, which is the place where I came from originally. I had to waste my time again showing them screenshots and explaining that their own system is not capable of doing that, which they look like they don't even know how it works. Since then I received no response.

Where to begin? .... I wanted to give the "service" a try for €1.74 for 30 days and boy, not good.

Just as the first information, I blocked the company to deduct money from my card, because as I wanted to write on the web-ui an advertisement popped up right before I clicked and I "made a purchase" of €83.71 for a pro plus subscription. WHAT? No confirmation no nothing, just direct payment. WOW. Good thing is that the transaction was immediately flagged as fraudulent, because the first payment was done in the exact same minute! This is some black pattern gangster web design right there.

What really gives a bad impression is that the logos aredifferent on the IDE intergration, the webpage and billing. Inconsistency everywhere.

1. It has two types of api keys, inference and mcp server. Why ?
2. There are models advertised that are not even there, getting direct errors, for the more expensive models no problem. And if someone thinks I had a typo, I copy/pasted the model ID's.
3. Different models for for API calls, Agents, CLI, web-ui and IDE integration. HOW and WHAT FOR?!
4. Way to complicated to try to find information you need and can use and "tinkering" which bloody model is available.
5. Support is not available anywhere you look, there is just a "Contact US" link that opens directly your email app. Well guess what, I'm the one that actually writes.

My 2 cents on this, not worth it, not even for this price. Spent way to much time trying to get it to work, and it is not even working like I want it to. Maybe I'm wrong and I will change this review. But if I don't change the review, I have screenshots of everything.

Blackbox AI is the best coding AI i’ve ever used. It has so many features and access to a bunch of other AI as well, depending on what you want. I would definitely recommend!!!

Helps me build useful websites with app builder feature, and I recently got a dollar trial subscription, so far so good +plus many agents to use 🙏

I've been running Blackbox CLI for about 6 weeks now and it's the best autonomous coding agent I've used. I was on Claude Code before — the context handling here is just better for large monorepos. I throw it a feature request in plain English, it reads the relevant files, writes a plan, executes it, and runs the tests. I barely touch the keyboard. The fact that I can switch between Claude, Gemini, and GPT-4o from one place without managing 4 different subscriptions is a massive win. This is what the future of coding looks like.

WORKS GREAT FOR MAORI LANGUAGE PROJECTS — SURPRISED ME
I work on projects that involve te reo Maori text processing. Most AI tools struggle with non-English languages and especially indigenous languages. Blackbox handled it better than I expected — it understood the context, helped me build a text normalization pipeline, and even suggested culturally appropriate approaches when I explained the use case. Genuinely impressed.

I'm a product designer who always wanted to implement my own designs. The gap between design and code felt impossible to cross. Blackbox CLI bridged it. I describe what I designed, it writes the React and CSS. I review it against my design, give feedback, it iterates. My designs are now live products. I have a completely different relationship with engineering now.

I started using Blackbox AI some time ago. I find it a really useful tool with many different resources to use. My experience was nothing but great 🤩

It's the best AI I've ever used, it helps me a lot in college, it provides coherent and complete answers, and it makes beautiful slide presentations. My brother is a developer and uses it a lot! He can generate code, create apps, and build websites in SECONDS! everything this AI can do is insane! I highly recommend it!!
