One of my friends visited BLS Colombo…

One of my friends visited BLS Colombo last week as a first-time applicant. Unfortunately, the staff member who assisted her did not provide proper help. The customer service was very poor, and they did not support applicants when needed.Please improve the service .

Horrible

The woman sitting at desk 1 was very unpleasant. I believe she is a manager. She showed no customer service skills—no smile and no interaction at all. The BLS website is also very poor.

The only positive was that I completed the whole process very quickly and didn’t have to wait long.

Horrible website for appointments

Absolutely horrible website to book an appointment. I have been trying for 1 month everyday to book an appointment through their website abd it never shows an open slot or if it does when you finish doing it says it is already booked.. The window period is only 10am everyday.. visited their centre 3 times in between and once got to a premium appointment..asked them in person what papers are required .. only your emirates id and passport.. I wished for no changes in passport but now they said your father's name has to be downsized ...go to ivs global..( 5 star service at ivs global) and now I cant book a date again

Forced ‘Premium’ Scam: €213 Paid for a 20-Day Single Entry Visa

0 - Star Review – BLS Global Spain Visa Centre in Dublin

BLS Global is not a visa service provider — it is a money-extraction scheme.

There are never any standard appointments available. Ever. The system is permanently “fully booked,” conveniently forcing applicants into so-called “premium” appointments. This is not optional — it’s a forced upsell designed to squeeze more money out of people who have no alternative.

I was charged €213 in unexplained, poorly itemised fees, justified under the meaningless label of “premium service.” No transparency. No breakdown. Just pay, or your application doesn’t move. This is borderline extortion masquerading as customer service.

Despite submitting a strong, well-documented application — including:
• Previous multiple-entry Schengen visas
• A solid travel history
• A detailed cover letter
• Clear proof of compliance with Schengen rules
• Evidence of multiple future trips

…the outcome was a single-entry visa valid for a pathetic 20 days.

Not 90 days.
Not multiple entry.
20 days.

For a compliant, experienced traveller, this decision is illogical, disproportionate, and frankly humiliating. What exactly was the point of the inflated fees, the forced premium appointment, and the mountains of paperwork? Because it certainly wasn’t to assess the application fairly.

The entire process feels deliberately opaque and exploitative. Applicants are financially cornered, overcharged, and then handed arbitrary outcomes with zero explanation or accountability.

This company has turned a consular process into a profit-driven obstacle course, and the lack of oversight is alarming. If this is the standard being tolerated, then applicants are being openly taken advantage of.

Avoid if you can. And if you can’t, be prepared to pay heavily and receive absolutely nothing in return.

My family and I are attempting to book a Schengen visa appointment through the BLS online system for three family members. Despite repeated attempts over multiple days, it has proven practically impossible to complete a booking using the standard (non‑premium) process.

Description of the Issue

The core problem lies in the extremely limited and unstable time window provided by the BLS appointment system to complete the booking process:

Once an appointment slot is selected, the system allows only a very short active session before timing out and forcibly cancelling the process.
BLS representatives on their hotline admitted that this window is limited, initially claiming it to be 10–15 minutes, however this statement does not reflect reality.
Even when completing the full process within 6–7 minutes, the system:
Automatically logs the user out, or
Displays technical or session errors, or
Forces the applicant to restart from the beginning.
When applying for a family of three, this is functionally impossible. The system requires repetitive entry of personal details, document information, and confirmations within an unrealistically short timeframe.

As a result, applicants are forced to spend hours repeatedly restarting the same failed process, with no guarantee of success.

Coercive Promotion of Premium Services

What is most concerning is that, when contacting BLS customer support to report this issue:

BLS staff acknowledged they are aware of the problem.
Instead of offering a technical resolution or an extension of the booking session, applicants are encouraged to purchase a “Premium” service, costing approximately £180.
This premium package conveniently avoids the very technical limitations imposed on the standard booking process.
This creates the clear impression that:

The standard appointment system is intentionally constrained, and
Applicants are effectively forced to purchase premium services in order to access a basic public service.
Why This Is Unacceptable

These practices raise serious concerns about:

Fair access to visa services
Transparency of the outsourced appointment system
Potential conflict of interest, where technical barriers appear to drive paid upgrades
Applicants wishing to visit Spain do so with the intention of:

Tourism
Family visits
Business activities
In doing so, they contribute directly to Spain’s economy and international goodwill. Obstructive and commercially coercive processes discourage legitimate visitors and undermine trust in the visa system.

Request for Consular Intervention

I respectfully request that the Consulate:

Investigate the appointment booking practices of BLS International in Edinburgh
Require transparency around:
Session time limits
System error handling
Differences between standard and premium access
Ensure that fair and functional access to visa appointments is possible without coercion into paid services
This complaint is submitted in good faith and with respect for the Consulate’s authority. I trust that the Consulate will review this matter seriously, as it affects a significant number of genuine applicants.

I spent almost 30 minutes filling in all the information, and then I had to reload, as it was not responsive!!!

Worst website experience

This has to be the worst website created. When you register you have to enter date of birth, but you cannot type it in, you have to use a little calendar to choose the date. But you have to go month by month. I was born in 1968 so I had to click the mouse around 650 times to get back to the 1968 page. Absolutely crazy lack of interest in customer experience.

Lo siento muchisimo por la pobre alma que vaya a intentar obtener una cita para obtener un visado Schengen. 4 meses lo estuve intentando para mi pareja, y JAMAS pudimos conseguirlo. A veces cuando te cogian la llamada te decian cuando iban a estar disponibles las citas previas y por mucho que me metiese ese dia que me decian, nunca las vi. Con perdon por la palabra pero una BASURA de sitio.

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Feedback Regarding Appointment Booking Experience – BLS International (Spain Visa)

Based on my experience, it is becoming better to avoid travelling to Spain due to the serious difficulties caused by the visa appointment process handled by BLS International.

I have attempted to book a standard appointment for over three months with no success. The website is poorly maintained, rarely shows availability for normal appointments, and is extremely frustrating to use.

Customer service has been unhelpful and unwilling to provide clear information. At the same time, Premium appointments are easily available, with a price difference of around £200, and additional charges even apply for basic services such as SMS and email notifications.

Because of this situation, I have also submitted a formal complaint to the Spanish Embassy in London regarding BLS International’s practices. In my view, the service lacks transparency, fairness, and genuine support for applicants.

This experience has been disappointing and has seriously affected my confidence in the Spain visa application process.

Expect to fill your application form with 100 qs in 10 seconds

I have literally filled my form of over 100 questions only to get logged out multiple times. Not to mention it is a pain to first to even get the appointment slot and into the application form. Absolute no reason for the multiple 2 factor authentication in every 5 mins. Worst company ever to apply for an application. I have applied for US visa and it's as much encrypted & safe as it should be but this one just talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk sadly.

going to pay an etsy witch to curse these bastards

the most dogshit, egregiously greedy company i’ve ever had the displeasure of having to interact with. it’s not enough that the spanish government pays them to process visa applications or even that i pay them £15 for an appointment, they have to make the booking process wildly difficult and frustrating in hopes that i pay 60 whole great british pounds so they can process the exact same info over the phone. and when i call their helpline to, idk, ask for help, their minimum wage call centre workers are instructed to convince me to give them an extra £45 for a phone appointment rather than actually giving me the help i need. i’ve wasted hours of my life in the booking process and at this point i would genuinely rather sacrifice my first born than visit their website again. i curse this company and i pray for their downfall.
