Noleggiata auto in Irlanda con assicurazione base. Vetro crepato senza aver subito urto o incidente, probabilmente per una sostituzione fatta male precedentemente... Vani in tentativi di dare spiegazioni. 800 euro da pagare. Non ci vedrete mai più nella vita!

On June 6, 2026 I rented a vehicle from Budget at the Rome Airport (Fiumicino). I was quoted 800+ dollars on line and agreed to the reservation. Upon arrival to their office I was greeted and asked to sign a tablet screen. When I left the airport, I noticed that my bill was for more than 3000.00 dollars.
I disputed the charges and was told that this hidden charges would stay.
Be aware of hidden charges and representatives rushing you through the process. Ask for a receipt and do not walk away until they disclose all of the charges.
OR, choose a different company.

First, it took us a long time to find the rental desk because the signage was poor. The staff were rude and spoke poor English. They did not clearly explain the rental terms and tried to pressure us into purchasing expensive insurance and other charges that were added afterwards.

The car was not clean when we received it and already had several areas of damage. At the desk, we were informed that the car had some pre-existing damage, but we were not shown any damage report or detailed documentation.

When we returned the car, the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful from the outset. They claimed there was a small scratch near the side mirror. When we rubbed away what appeared to be dirt, the employee pointed to another dirty mark on the same part of the car instead.

We explained that we had not caused the alleged damage and showed them the video we had taken before driving away. Despite this, they charged us €300, claiming that this was the cost of repairing a “scratch” approximately 2 cm long. They also refused to return our deposit.

We strongly dispute this charge, but the staff offered no assistance or proper response. They simply told us that we “just had to pay.” When we questioned how they could justify the amount, they replied, “It’s none of your business.”

Completely unacceptable conduct from this company. NEVER rent from Budget.

⚠️ DANGEROUS RENTAL AGENCY — AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We survived a tyre blowout at 130 the motorway with our 2.5-year-old child.

The car rented from Budget had no spare tyre, no equipment to change the tyre, no warning triangle and no safety vest. We were put in an extremely dangerous situation on the motorway with a young child.

The motorway emergency service had to intervene and tow us to a service area. We have now been stuck at this service area for hours, waiting for Budget's recovery service to collect their vehicle.

Budget's customer service is not answering properly and is unable to provide us with any clear information or solution. We have repeatedly asked when the recovery vehicle will arrive, when we will be taken back to the airport and when we will receive a replacement car — and we still have no clear answer.

We are travelling with a 2.5-year-old child and have been left to deal with this situation on our own.

A tyre blowout can happen. What is completely unacceptable is providing a rental car without basic safety equipment and then failing to assist your customers properly in an emergency.

This is not just poor customer service. This is a serious safety issue.

AVOID THIS RENTAL AGENCY. We strongly advise people not to rent from Budget Italy.

We will be requesting reimbursement for all expenses and making a formal complaint about this incident.

Absolutely unacceptable. Budget should be ashamed of the way this situation has been handled.

Ho prenotato una macchina Peugeot 208 tramite boooing per un soggiorno di due giorni a Napoli . La sfortuna ha voluto che il noleggio venisse fatto con budget stazione Garibaldi Napoli. Arrivati ci hanno detto che avremmo dovuto fare l assicurazione con loro ( 35 euro al giorno) nonostante avessimo già fatto l assicurazione totale con Booking ( Zurich ) perchè quella di Booking non aveva valenza. Ovviamente non l’abbiamo fatta. Saliti ci hanno dato una jeep renegade che ovviamente non era della stessa categoria richiesta. Dopo 30 minuti a parlare con Luca e dirgli che le macchine offerte NON erano della stessa categoria, siamo dovuti scendere. Arrivati di nuovo alla reception abbiamo spiegato a Loris che inizialmente non voleva capire e risolvere il problema. Quando poi ci siamo imputati e ( ovviamente della parte della ragione) gli abbiamo solo due opzioni : rimborso totale o la Peugeot 208. Aggiungo che se avessimo voluto la Peugeot 208 ma con cambio manuale avremmo dovuto di nuovo pagare un extra ( politica molto bizzarra la loro). Dopo 45 minuti di discussioni , abbiamo chiamato Booking che in 2 minuti ha risolto la situazione con un rimborso totale. Diffidate da questa compagnia ma soprattutto fate valere
Sempre le vostre ragioni. Anche quando vi dicono : “il rimborso non ve lo faranno mai” cit.

Terrible! Rude staff! Post return unauthorised charges amounting to over €750! The agent even insisted on going into my emails on my phone to fill out his own customer review!!! Now I understand why!! Please avoid because it's not worth the stress!

The frustrated old woman behind the desk was as rude a person I've ever met. The car they gave me was a battered old lump of crust, too. Consistent, I guess.

Gave us a car absolutely covered in scratches, scrapes, dents. Around 12-15 listed on the documents. Collected at 11pm so impossible to check the entire vehicle with complete accuracy. Return the car and the Budget staff member highlights a tiny 1.5cm scrtach above a massive scrape near the wheel arch, he said oh this one isn't on the documents I think it must be new. I genuinely thought he was joking given all the damage next to it.

I said there's no way thats new and wouldn't sign any paperwork, he said doesn't matter i can still make sure you're charged without your signature. €211 he says. I check my card £264.84 showing which is €308. Disgusting service avoid unless you want a load of stress

Assolutalamente pessima esperienza! A fine noleggio, dopo la riconsegna dell'auto hanno caricato degli addebiti non dovuti, non concordati e senza alcuna motivazione (incremento di costo del +50%!!). Nessuna risposta da parte del servizio assistenza alle mie richieste di chiarimento nonostante le ripetute email e telefonate. SONO DEI LADRI! STATE ALLA LARGA DA QUESTA COMPAGNIA

Budget Aeroporto di Muscat

Riconsegno auto con un graffio al paraurti anteriore di non più di 10 cm, probabilmente fatto da qualcuno parcheggiato di fianco a me.

Classico danno da 50/100€ in Italia; secondo le loro stime ( o meglio quelle della persona al desk) il totale è di € 362 che ovviamente pago.

Per fortuna avevo sottoscritto assicurazione che però mi chiede alcuni approfondimenti.

Vani i tentativi di mettermi in contatto con qualunque loro numero telefonico ( Omanita/italiano) o indirizzo mail per avere doc richiesti.

Morale, il loro business è noleggiare auto a prezzo "competitivo " per poi straguadagnare al momento della riconsegna.

SCAM ! All they do is take your deposit and say it s for "damage" but they dont provide evidence. Don't rent from them!!!

Budget Venezia aeroporto. Negata la consegna dell'auto noleggiata nonostante sia arrivata in orario, ma stavano chiudendo e si sono rifiutati. In particolare un ventenne palestrato è stato estremamente scortese, affermando che non gli interessasse di una eventuale recensione negativa (usando termini piuttosto coloriti), davanti ai colleghi più grandi che hanno osservato in silenzio. Naturalmente nessun rimborso

Tengan cuidado con esta empresa! Me robaron casi 1000 euros inventando un daño en el auto, me lo debitaron directamente de mi cuenta. Son unos ladrones!

I called prior to arriving and took two days of non stop calling to get through. I told them are flight would arrive later than booking time and got a confirmation that they had my flight number and that someone would wait one hour after our flight lands. When we then arrive no one was there so we stayed at the airport over night. When they opened the keys were lying on the floor behind the gate. Then when we were at the counter the man was very rude, said that no one waits after closing and would not even let us finish talking and explaining. They would not give us the car even though we had already paid and bought the most expensive insurance because they said they could not give us a car back in time. This was the only 7 seater available in the whole airport. Then after a very long time trying to get the car they could give it to us but only on a new booking for three times the price! I would never recommend for anyone to use Budget in Malpensa airport.

Ho affittato un'auto a Bristol tramite Ryanair, ed al momento della chiusura mi sono stati addebitati costi assolutamente non previsti da contratto, nel particolare destinazione premier per 80 sterline. La mia richiesta di chiarimenti verso il portale giace inevasa. Servizio pessimo e da eviatare assolutamente.

Mala no,malisima.tardaron en dar el coche,no funcionaba bien,ibas conduciendo y se paraba de golpe,suerte hemos tenido de no tener un accidente, hartos de llamar por teléfono para dar quejas del coche y todo excusas, ni caso,ni intención de solucionar el problema y para colmo a los dos días de entregar el coche nos a venido un cobro extra que no tenemos ni idea de que es,en definitiva unos sinvergüenzas e impresentable.

I caution against using this really dreadful company. Yesterday we went to pick up our pre booked rental car from Budget at the Rome airport. Words cannot adequately describe how terrible their service is and how dishonest they are. We stood in a lineup for over 1 hour in gruelling heat, 36 centigrade, which is 97 degrees Fahrenheit, outside their air conditioned office. Once inside we met with a surly female agent. She proceeded with all of the manipulations you might expect from a really bad car rental company. First off they did not have our exact car, the full size DS 7 we had booked, so they wanted to give us a sub compact Mini Countryman with a much smaller trunk. I said no, give us what I ordered. The trunk has to be 544 cubic feet. Then she tried to upsell us a 7 passenger van for 300 Euros a day. I said no to that. Then she aggressively tried to get us to buy their insurance. I said no to that, which was another big discussion. You cannot use your credit card insurance in Italy as some insurance is mandatory by law which violates credit card rules. We used RentalCover.com. Their insurance was $160 CDN for 10 days and they have a good reputation. Ultimately we got a BMW 320M Diesel. Our credit card shows $1500 CDN instead of the $1100 we booked. If we went with their van and their insurance it would have been $5000 instead of our $1, 160 including insurance, assuming we get the over charge back. Do yourself a favour and avoid this disgusting company!

Quieren estafar a la gente con publicidad engañosa y vehículos que claramente son inferiores a los que tengan. La atención es pésima, te ladran

Very bad experience ! Don’t rent a car from them ! They will pretend the car has plenty of scratches just to make extra money! Bastards!
