⭐ 1/5 — Very disappointing experience with Bunches & Stems

I purchased a Birthday Combo I through Bunches & Stems Australia, paying a total of $126.91, including $24.95 for delivery. I placed the order through Bunches & Stems, however the order was ultimately fulfilled/sent through Bloomex.

Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I expected when ordering a birthday gift through Bunches & Stems.

The order was not delivered as expected. After delivery issues, the recipient was contacted directly and advised that the delivery had been rescheduled. I was also emailed confirming that the delivery details had been discussed with her and that she was expecting the delivery.

Despite this, the order was not delivered to her at all. Instead, it was sent to a post office in a cardboard box for collection.

I then had to drive approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to collect the birthday gift myself, despite having paid $24.95 specifically for delivery.

When I opened the box, I was extremely disappointed. The flowers were packaged inside the cardboard box without what I considered an appropriate water source, and the chocolates/food items were loose in the bottom of the box rather than beautifully presented in the gift basket shown when I placed my order.

The finished product looked completely different from the Birthday Combo I believed I was purchasing.

This was supposed to be a special birthday surprise. Instead, the recipient was contacted, the surprise was spoiled, the delivery didn’t happen as promised, and I had to collect a poorly presented box myself.

I purchased and paid Bunches & Stems, so from a customer’s perspective, they are the business I trusted with my order. The fact that it was fulfilled through Bloomex doesn’t change the experience I had after purchasing through Bunches & Stems.

I supplied photographs showing the condition and presentation of what I received and requested a full refund of $126.91. Rather than refunding me, I was offered $30 store credit for a future purchase.

After an experience like this, store credit requiring me to purchase from the business again is not an acceptable resolution for me.

Had I known that my $126.91 birthday order would end up as flowers and chocolates in a cardboard box at a post office that I had to drive over an hour to collect myself, I would never have placed the order.

I have photos of what was advertised compared with what was actually received, along with the correspondence regarding the delivery.

Based on my experience, I unfortunately cannot recommend Bunches & Stems Australia.

Scam, Avoid at all costs, This company did not deliver flowers on booked day and did not notify me. When I contacted them they said we will deliver another day. I disagreed and requested a refund as I had needed them on the day requested. They flatly refused a refund and stopped communicating. I now have a case with ACCC my bank and Fair Trading. I now see all the negative reviews. How can this company continue to trade!?

I ordered flowers for my girlfriend who had just lost her mother and ordered a beautiful bright bunch of flowers and she got 1/3 bunch of flowers half dead and nothing that I ordered. These people are a shonk and I am still trying to get my money back. I ordered them and they were a day late. Someone phoned me to tell me they would be a day late in delivering and I asked where they were and she said Bankstown after the website says Australian company servicing southern highlands for 30 years then I find out they are in Asia. They tell me because the flowers were late they would provide chocolates or some gourmet biscuits and they were biscuits from Aldi. I was so embarrassed that my girlfriend received such awful flowers and biscuits from Aldi as she said she knew the biscuits were from Aldi. They were not interested in the fact that their flowers were nothing like their website and offered me a in store credit. Well no way would I want flowers from them. I am still trying to get my money back. They can’t speak English so it’s very difficult to deal with them. You go on the internet looking for flowers in the southern highlands and you get these people that are false advertising who they are. Please stay away from these people. They are dishonest and provide flowers which aren’t on their website with 1/3 of awful half dead flowers. What ever you do DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM THESE AWFUL DISHONEST PEOPLE.

Awful experience. This company is nothing but a scam and you should run a mile never ver use them.

Paid $110 for Lilly’s they sent $25 of broken cheap flowers and flatly refused to refund.

I have now commenced a complaint with ACL and ACCC

Flowers were sent from our company to an employee on the loss of a family member. The initial delivery was delayed but when they were delivered the flowers were wilted and the foam dry. The recipient complained to Bloomex care team who initially said a replacement would be sent but when followed up they reneged on that and said they couldn't offer a replacement because the delivery had already been made. After further emails they would only offer a store credit, not a refund. Store credit turned out to be for half the amount the flowers cost. Avoid Bunches and Stems.

If I could give no stars I would. They missed items from my order and then tried to tell me they were not included, when clearly on their website they were.

Whatever you do. Do not use this company. And the numerous AI emails that I received back from my enquires were just frustrating and not worth the grief. But Im sure that is what they banked on

Terrible service! I ordered for same day delivery and the delivery time was pushed back not once, but twice! Do not advertise a product or timeline if you know you cannot delivery! DO NOT use these people. When emailing with the team, I received automated responses that did not even bother reading what I was upset about. The customer service team kept saying they would only investigate any avenues of redress AFTER the flowers were delivered and if they were in a bad condition. Failing to acknowledge that the timeliness of the service being delivered was, and is, a core part of the goods! Ridiculous. AVOID at all costs.

***THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM*** I truly don’t know how they’re still allowed to operate in Australia. I ordered the extra large (“unforgettable”) size Australian Native Flowers bouquet and instead my friend received a small bunch of withered pink roses and dahlias, a day later than I requested they be delivered. I was so embarrassed.
When I asked for a refund I was offered a “$30 store credit” - encouraging me to spend more money on their absolute scam of a website - because the minimum spend is much higher than that. Is this how they drive sales? So gross.
It’s really important people start lodging disputes with their bank and the Office of Fair Trading for this business. They shouldn’t be able to operate under Australian Consumer Law.

Flowers are yet to be delivered.

Don't bother! They delivered to the wrong address twice. It's been 3 weeks now, they keep promising to deliver it to the correct address, but do not and they won't refund my money even though I've asked repeatedly. Will be taking this further if I don't hear from them today. Stay away!

I wish I had of read the reviews before spending $130 on a bunch of flowers that looked like old off cuts they couldn’t sell. The flowered and vase were nothing like what was advertised and the were old, wilting and pathetic really. I paid extra for a larger sized arrangement and what they delivered was a joke! Buyer beware this business is a wrought.

They charged me extra for next day delivery and then sent me a email saying they could deliver until 2 days later. Would not recommend

Boy do I wish I’d checked here first. No flowers received. AI responses to my queries. Does this company even exist? The only reason this is 1 star is because 0 stars is not an option.

Quite possibly the worst bouquet I have ever seen.

What was delivered bore almost no resemblance to the “Blushing Muse Bouquet” pictured and ordered. Instead of the full, lush arrangement of pink and purple flowers advertised, we received a sparse, mismatched collection of flowers — including a random bright blue carnation — many of which were already wilted, drooping and clearly past their best.

To make matters worse, the flowers were delivered a day late, in a cardboard box and without water. The photos speak for themselves — this wasn’t a minor variation due to seasonal availability; it was completely different in quality, presentation and appearance from what was advertised.

And then there was the inexplicable box of crackers included with the order. Why??? They certainly weren’t requested and did nothing to make up for the appalling flowers.

For nearly $70, this is simply unacceptable. If you are ordering flowers for someone because you want to make them feel special, STAY FAR, FAR AWAY.

As for the crackers? The only crackers here appear to be the ones who thought this bouquet was acceptable to send to a customer.

If I could give no stars I would. Terrible experience. Next day delivery offered for funeral flowers in Queensland. Order confirmed and then the emails offering alternative products started. 8 emails offering gift baskets and credits, even though there are local florists that I should have used, they offered a 2-5 day delivery delay and then a following week delivery. Would not refund because they said "the order is accepted" even though they cant deliver! Have finally received notification of a refund but it hasnt arrived yet so will contact credit co to get a chargeback if it doesnt appear. These guys are dishonest and shameless exploiting people who have been recently bereaved.

Even one star is far too generous. Do not use this company at all. Trying to arrange flowers&chocolates as a surprise for my aunty, 6 days on and still not delivered despite several emails and calls from me. So many poor excuses given and promises made and still no satisfaction.
Companies with such unacceptable practices should not be in business.
Don't waste your time or money, use a more reputable comopany.

Cannot be helpful...I ordered the super delux size to be delivered on a friday...the NEXT WEDNESDAY my friend received a petite size bouquet. Not worth the $109 + that I paid. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

SCAM! Do not order from this florist. I ordered and paid for same day delivery on a Wednesday. Received AI email that night to say it was on an overnight delivery and would receive free gourmet items and would be delivered Thursday.
They weren't delivered so I emailed and received multiple AI emails that they had been picked up and would be delivered Thursday. I tried calling and received no help, didn't speak to a human, was all AI.
then on the Friday I received an email from Startrack to say they would be delivered Monday after the weekend!
I wasted hours on AI phone calls, emails and online chat. I said I didn't want dead wilted flowers delivered to send back to company and wanted a refund. For the next week, I kept chasing my refund, I had confirmation star track had returned flowers to warehouse, but kept getting same AI responses from company to say they needed confirmation from their warehouse who they said had no email or phone number. They also said I wouldn't get refund but get a store credit for not even half of the price I paid! I wasted so much time doing this and finally 1 week later on the following Friday I finally spoke to an actual human who organised the refund. I then got my money back after the next weekend. So was almost 2 weeks after I initially ordered! wish I had read all the bad reviews. terrible experience

This is the worst company to purchase flowers, I have had to reach out to them in regards to my complaint back in May for Mother's Day. My delivery didn't come on the day it came 2days late and also stated Dozen stem roses, but only received 10, but they email me to state 'Dozen Assorted Roses Special - Petite is supplied as a 10-stem arrangement', but this is not what is stated in my purchase it stated DOZEN not 10, and also missing the chocolates also in my delivery so I had sent a photo of what I had received and they sent me a response today stating 'We have reviewed your concerns and the details of your order. Our records confirm that the Lindt chocolates were included with the delivery, and the Dozen Assorted Roses Special – Petite was supplied as a 10-stem arrangement as per the product details. The order was completed and provided to the value paid', they offered me a $50 in store credit but I said why would I want to purchase from this place again. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR PURCHASING ROSES

If I could rate this company below 1 star I would.
What a joke. I ordered and paid only to notice after I hit paid the suburb I had selected was changed. Emailed them straight away to advise. Rang the next day was told driver would bring them back and resend. They claim they never got my email yet emailed me telling me I had to pay another $20 for redelivery although I contacted straight away of the error.
This order was placed on a Thursday. They emailed me to confirm again and again address and wanted payment. Flowers still not sent. Flowers were for a death of a family member so now I look like a bad person because of this bad company. Do not waste your money. Do not ever buy from here. I wish I read the reviews first except now lost $100 to these people.
