I retired in March 2026.
Having giving notice that I was going to retire in December 2025.Despite many phone calls and e mails I have heard nothing. I have contacted higher management who don’t seem to be able to help? .
I notice that the Royal Mail has withdrawn their contract from Capita as it is not fit for purpose. Why can’t we do this.
I have worked for the DWP for over 45 years what a way to be treated by a company. Who does not respond to correspondence .This is causing financial hardship . It looks like now I won’t hear anything until August appalling service. Enough said.

I think they do medicals for British army anyway they failed me for reserves as driver once month joke honestly but that’s capita anyway guys listen to this for some anxiety 15 years ago due to losing my mum, a headache when being flashed to much in eyes 5 years ago a small cyst cut from my hand five years ago and you know what even crazier everyone I served 10 years as marine I’m problay fitter than most in this country! Just like my wife said sod them let them struggle with very tiny armed forces because that’s all it will ever be when most medicals failed

After a traumatic divorce I found myself in need of a mortgage. I had to have a pension forecast for the mortgage company. Spent hours on the phone trying to get through. In the end my manager contacted civil service pay who contacted the bosses at capital and they refused to provide a pension forecast until august. This in turn meant the mortgage company wouldn’t lend me what I wanted and I’ve had to borrow off good friends or I would be homeless. Absolutely shocking service and if I could minus stars I would

I'm a beneficiary of my late husband's pension. It took Capita until April 2025, over 3 years after my husband passed away to sort out the Death Lump Sum payment. I've ended up with a big tax bill because of the delays. It should have been tax free. I've just discovered I can file a complaint about Capita's mishandling of the lump sum and then go to HMRC for a tax refund. It's a protracted process but given it's Capita's fault I lost out when I desperately needed the money and am still being hit for tax I may try.

I rang capita today. Got an obnoxious lady. Lost account of how many times I have called them. Promises of call backs never happened. Complaint raised several times but no acknowledgement. If you have health issues you are suppose to nearly top of the list but I am not. Left work because of health issues but have received no pension or quotes. Left struggling to pay bills. Lady today could not careless. Her attitude was you are going to have to wait. No care attitude. Lack of empathy. No help at all. Rude and lack of understanding. She needs training in customer service. How to be polite.

I can't put into words how useless Capita AFRS⁸ are!!!
My son has twice applied for Army and Navy and the complete morons have rejected him both times because he dislocated his shoulder, once, in 2019! Playing cricket when he was 11yrs old!!
He has played hockey since 7 and currently plays 1st team and at county level. He goes to the gym regurarly and is extremely fit.
But! Capita keep rejecting him because of 1 injury, which fixed itself without intervention, 7YEARS AGO!!
He was already fast tracked into leadership and engineering in Navy before the mongs at Capita 'unticked' the box!
The appeal will take 28 WEEKS!
I had 19yrs in signals and know my son will have an excellent career as soldier/sailor but for Capita!
Why can't I give MINUS 5*s?

On Facebook today, shares in Capita rallied yesterday, after the outsourcing specialist reaffirmed annual guidance following a solid start to the year, your having a blo### laugh, outsourcing specialists, 💩 their portal isn't fit for purpose, thousands of low paid decent civil servants, not your high paid senior and government civil servants, haven't received their pensions, many many months after they have retired, it's an absolute disgrace, shame on you Capita, and shame on the Cabinet Office, and the government, another post office scandal.

Disgusting service! Started ringing at 3.20pm and at 6pm while still waiting I got a computer voice saying all lines are closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to be a zero star. The way this company has won a contract to administer the pensions of civil servants only to not deliver a service blame others and put the mental and physical well being of hard working people who expect their pensions to be be paid on time is utterly shameful.

Terrible wait times on phones often being cut off
Having to be bailed out by existing civil servants to get on setvice track bailed out by uk tax payer
Providing misleading and incorrect data in updates
Not putting customers at the heart of what they do
Causing terrible pain to widows and widowers who are waiting for bereavement benefits
Causing undue stress for people who are ill and have been retired on ill health grounds
The list goes on , 6 months in now still awful

I have been waiting months for a reply and still nothing!! Even with my MP involved, they still don't reply. Absolutely shocking company!!

Dreadful. Using backlog from previous provider as an excuse. Its their fault they have a useless portal that is not fit for purpose 6 months after taking on the contract. They had 2 years to plan. Should be stripped of the contract. Applied for pension 6 months ago and nothing.

Disgraceful company who are playing with peoples lives , months down the line still no quote and still no pension , every phone call I make is painful , hours on hold to be told a different story every time ..then their is the worry of my data being leaked as this has only recently happened to many awaiting their pensions

They took over civil service pensions.
They never answer correspondence, never answer phones and don't even seem to react to MP complaints.
There website/portal has nothing on it.
Total shambles.
I am lucky I left and work somewhere else so at least I have an income, compared to other people

If I could give this company 0 I would, have been waiting for my pension for nearly 5 months and yet nothing, no communication, no apology and no replies to the numerous emails sent. This us my money and they are withholding using lack of staff, not knowing the full amount of the task as an excuse, are the government taking them to task, they are not, but why would we expect anything else from our elected leaders.

Absolutely appalling, no response to any emails, phone calls don’t get answered and they keep your pension for months.

I cant give zero stars so had to give 1. Disgraceful company. I am so fed up with waiting for my money that I have paid into. Too much to say on here but others have said it for me. So many of us in the same situation. Sort this mess out capita. Its lives you are messing with!!

absolutely atrocious.No communication, due my pension January 2026 nothing received apart from donʼt call us we will call you. They have raken out contracts they have neither the staff or IT to deal with it.

Unfortunately can’t give zero stars, so it will have to be 1. Appalling company, have plunged thousands of people in to poverty and desperation due to their inept IT and incompetent handling of Cvil Service Pension administration. Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident, their track record for other major IT pension projects is similar. Their senior management then compound the problem by displaying a callous disregard of the human cost of their unprofessionalism, leaving people with no money, some for over a year. Absolutely vile company.

Husband gone partially retired from Civil Service gave 5 months notice ,no quote ,no money. Try to ring have to wait hours,when you get through staff don't know anything. Website not working. Absolutely terrible. Disgrace.
