I cannot stand Care Credit/Synchrony Bank! I had a dispute with a ripoff dentist and Care Credit continually sides with the dentist/doctor. They will make you pay no matter what the circumstances are.
So then I start paying on my balance for about 7 months and notice the balance is off about 200.00
I call to find out why? They tell me it’s not at the zero interest rate anymore. Which I find hard to believe because it has not even been 1 year since I saw the dentist. I know I had 0% interest on my contract until I paid it off. It said so, on my statement.
I’m going to pay this balance off and be done with these people. Also going to cancel my Amazon card as well because they are Synchrony Bank also.
Everything going forward, if I need to, will be put on my Venture Capital One card. If you have a legitimate dispute, they will believe you!

I first thought care credit was a prayer answered for my Furbabies and that I would always have an ace in the hole for unforseen medical expenses for my children well I was so wrong. My first experience with care credit I thought was going great, I had a limit of 1,200.00 and had to max it out for a blood transfusion for one of my beloved Furbabies. I paid off the balance in full and was thinking I'm good now I have a fresh start now if I have another emergency. Was I wrong. I went to use my card and my account had been closed! I couldn't believe it, here I am at the vet and my card is no longer active and I have to pay out of pocket, boy was I pissed! I called them and they said the account was closed for non activity. NON ACTIVITY are you kidding me? I nor my cats are sick every day and I'm certainly not going to charge something on it unless it's necessary just to please you with extra money. I honestly thought it was for animals and thats exactly what it was going to be used for. Well for years they wouldn't give my card back to me even though I was in good standing. That should have told me I shouldn't appy again but I did and boy am I regretting it. They are so greedy. I have been paying on this card for going on 3 years now with no late fees and no minimum payment increases and all of a sudden they are saying I didnt pay the minimum amount in full and gave me a late fee to boot! I have always been on time with payments and send more than the minimum due. They informed me today that my minimum amount is now higher than it ever has been in the 3 years I have been paying on it. So dont ever go by what their mobile app says the minimum payment is cause it could be wrong as it was for me and get you in hot water with these ASSHOLES and I was informed that their app has no glitches, I told her that's a ball faced lie or I wouldnt be dealing with you. I'm trying to get this card paid off as soon as possible and I will never have their services in my possession ever again and I recommend you dont either. Sincerely Kasiba

One of the most morally corrupt and incompetent companies I have ever encountered for the reasons listed below:
First, they opened a 2nd card (completely different account number, a MC) without my approval.
Second, they shuffled around charges between cards in order to create confusion and false dept which I never incurred.
Third, when I refused to pay a debt which I don't owe, they reported it to TransUnion which affected my otherwise perfect (above 800) FICO score.
Fourth, today, their online rep (Judy Herron) refused to tell me where the $500 was spent (BECAUSE I DO NOT USE THE CARD ANYMORE AND HAVE HAD NO BALANCE IN MANY MONTHS). She refused to help, remove the charge or look up the fraud report I filed months ago with them on THEIR FORM. They have listed charges on the fraud paperwork that were paid off years ago AND at least 1 charge at an establishment which closed long before the alleged charge was incurred (Queens Animal Health).
This nonsense has been going on for years and I have reported them to the Attorney General in NY and in PA where the payments are sent but we all know they have no teeth and also should probably not exist wasting our tax $$$. Of course, my complaint is at least "on the record." More consumers need to write your reps and keep up the pressure and please vote them out if they do not help. There is also a "CareCredit Sucks" FB page. Good luck ya'll.

I just tried to set up a payment plan online. They would not speak with my husband who handles all the bills and when they asked to speak with me...They want a copy of my drivers license and a "selfie" of me! I screamed at the woman and told her that if I sent a selfie, my middle finger would be the picture. With all the Identity theft that is going on this is a stupide request not to mention I already have credit with them. I was also told zero interest for the first year and found out that I am paying 39.99 percent. No one needs credit this bad.

CareCredit is one of the most misleading financing companies I've ever dealt with. The way they handle their deferred interest promotions feels intentionally designed to trap customers.

After repeatedly calling me to collect on my balance, they offered what they described as a special "promo" where if I paid off the remaining principal balance in full, they would waive the accumulated interest charges. Wanting to resolve the account, I immediately made the payment as instructed.

After the payment was made, CareCredit conveniently changed their story. They claimed the payment took 14 days to process and that by the time it was applied to the account, the promotional offer had expired. As a result, they refused to remove the interest charges they had previously indicated would be waived.

The entire experience felt deceptive. The interest fees are buried in the fine print, the promotional offers seem designed to get customers to make large payments, and then technicalities are used to avoid honoring what was promised. Customer service was unhelpful and offered nothing but excuses.

I would strongly advise anyone considering CareCredit to read every detail of the agreement and get everything in writing. What sounds like a helpful financing option can quickly turn into a frustrating and expensive experience.

I received a card with care credit with 1000 limit. Have been using for my puppy. Highest use was at 840. Have paid down now to 620 including the first promotion no interest. Next isn’t due until 2027 but planned on paying another hundred each month until paid off. However no letter just a statement showing that out of the blue the take me down to a credit limit of 670. No explanation nothing. Never been late sometime multiple payments a month. So now I’m just going to close my account all together.

Don't trust this company....they don't disclose what they like to call trailing credit fees. Basically if you are ever late on a payment they will charge you a late fee plus an interest fee and you will have to pay that interest fee for two payment cycles even if you keep paying on time after that one late payment. Oh, and this is the case for deferred interest purchases. There are better credit cards out there.

I'd give them 0 if I could.

Did a balance transfer with my bank to get out of their atrocious interest fees. Close the account and A MONTH LATER they charged the CLOSED ACCOUNT an interest fee. Currently fighting that because I'm not paying a fee on a closed account.

This company is nothing but a scam! "Oh, let us help you in your most vulnerable state like a medical emergency"...You are better off applying for a credit card! I just learned about how much they "helped" my daughter, NOT! Please don't fall for their scam if you have any other choice. POS, RIP-OFF business right here. Don't fall for it!

This company will lower your credit score . They have tactics that at first I just thought was coincidence but given the chance to lower your credit limit will do it so whenever even if you've been doing good. They will not allow you to keep your credit line low. It was 2000, after it was paid down went to 1400 after paid down 600 now 250. They did this consecutively over a course of 6 months after ive have this account for a few years. The worse part is they lower it before they close the statement so before you can pay so your previous payment won't show and theyll have you over 85% of your credit line., its impossible

I recently applied to partner with CareCredit and was denied. Reason being that I did not have a MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner on-site to diagnose illnesses or prescribe medications. When I reached out to ask for clarification as to how they determine who to approve and who not to approve those who do not have a MD, DO or Nurse Practitioner on-site cause I know of a few standalone profesional providers like myself who have been approved and are partnered with CareCredit. I received no reply and no return calls. It’s really sad, if the denial is legitimate across the board for all professional providers why not reply.

Approved for $500. Had the card for 2 years. Used it 3 or 4 times. NEVER LATE...NEVER OVER LIMIT. About 18 months when I owed about 300 on it they suddenly dropped my limit to $250. Last month I paid it off and within 2 weeks they CANCELED IT! LAME LAME LAME. I have 2 very elderly cats, that card was my emergencycard for them. I used it completely responsibly...like I do all of my cards. My payment history on the credit bureaus is 100 % on time. These people are a holes.

Their app is false advertising. If I could give them a 0 I would. They falsely advertise who uses them or is affiliated with them. The stores on their app aren’t affiliated with them. So you might use them for an emergency and get there and guess what they aren’t even affiliated! Then customer service doesn’t even understand the premise of this and are rude! I spoke to Samantha and Jess and they don’t care or even file a complaint number!

BEWARE! If you attempt to pay down your balance and make a large payment, they will freeze your card for 7 to 21 business days. That could be almost a month that you will not be able to use your card in an emergency! You are penalized for paying your down account!

Do not do it! They prey on desperate people trying to save their pets, fix their teeth, pay a deductible on a life saving surgery just to turn around and screw you worse that the most ghetto credit card, even worse than a pay day loan. I paid 4 times the minimum payment but they rewarded me by charging $168 for interest, IN ONE MONTH. $168 FOR INTEREST ON $1000, FOR ONE MONTH! The minimum payment was $40. This company should be shut down

I made two purchases on two separate occasions. I called to request the 18 months no interest on those purchases. On both occasions they would not give it to me. I don't see why they could previously do it, but now they can't. I'm upset!

I understood that my chiropractic charge of $2800 would have zero interest if paid off in 18 months, but I did not know that if it was not paid off ALL the interest for those 18 months would be added in and also the interest rate is 40%! I was able to make a final payment of that initial charge with a few days and they refunded my interest, but I had used the card a few more times and now the interest is 40%. I also tried to pay it off with a zero interest transfer balance card and Care Credit declined the payment. They are a joke.

Do not use this card service. They take advantage of people in a time of need and it is not explained in detail. If there is a balance at the end (which I assumed there would be none) and you don’t pay it off, they will charge you all the back interest at 32.99%. This is borderline stealing in my opinion. Taking advantage of a vulnerable population that use it in times of desperation is unforgivable. I ended up paying off my balance in full after finding this out because and I still got a statement for interest due the next month. What credit card does this? And if you’re gonna give credit like this, you should send a statement making them aware that the promotional period is ending, and there will be a balance due. They sure let you know if you’re late on a payment. I don’t understand why there isn’t courtesy the other way. Will not use them again. Everyone should file a complaint with their states consumer and financial affairs division, write to their attorney general as well as all of our local politicians. Also the medical, dental, and medical veterinary examiners board. This should not be happening.

Horrible company, gives you credit then takes it back. Would not recommend to anyone. Read all the fine details. This company is garbage.
