Terrible company cost me a fortune after they failed to collect my car when agreed ending in me having to pay for clamp removal after mot ran out and o couldn’t provide tax for this reason please avoid

Anyone that sells to this company is a fool, I was going to accept there very low offer out of convenience but asked other companies and couldn’t believe everyone else offered double with no arguments on condition of anything

It seems the company tricks you into dealing with them with high offers and then calls to lower them. I was offered £1000 for my car online, I made it clear the car doesn’t run on the form and the fee was emailed to me as accepted. Subsequently was called by them and told that this was just a “generated fee” and they needed to do further checks. No details changed with these further checks. I was then told I would get a call back with an updated quote. The updated figure I was given the next day was £308, a significant drop on the fee I was told had been accepted. Appalling service.

Website easy to navigate and a very easy process. Popped in car registration and valuation followed shortly after.

Once offer was accepted, received a phone call explaining process, gave bank details and arranged collection time.

Recovery truck driver rang on the day informing ETA. Very polite. Checked all the documentation he required and inspected the vehicle and then loaded it and took it away.

Received a message once it was at the scrapyard and reiterated how to inform DVLA.

Payment made promptly.

I don’t believe the reviews here are genuine. My experience with cartakeback hasn’t been a pleasant one. I believe they lure you with exciting offers only to get your car and find every reason to offer you trash. I don’t recommend them. I had 3 offers: £265 for collection in a week with payment after 2 days, another for £200 with immediate payment, then came cartakeback offering £400 with next working day payment only to collect the vehicle and offer £150 and paid after 3 days. The only reason you’re forced to sell at that price is because it becomes more expensive retrieving the vehicle.

They just canceled my collection booking for 3 times in row. Calling staff do not care about your problem.my car was on parked on someone’s home he was forcing me to take car out as soon as possible and I told this cartakebsck about the problem but they just canceled my collection date 3 times. I do not like this company at all. 0 stars.

So the actual collection was good but after the car was lifted on the back the driver squashed the car down with the hydrologic arm and popped the back window and the front window screen and glass flew all over the road and the driver said he has nothing to clear it up and the neighbours were very angry and he drove off

Great service from start to finish

After accepting the offer online, I was contacted in 30 minutes to arrange a date for collection. The driver called 20 minutes before arrival, the car was taken away and the money was in my account the next day.

Was a bit sceptical at first as overing the best market rate but the customer service team was spot on, first pickup was cancelled but rescheduled and got a decent price, payment was withing an hour or so after pickup. Would 100% recommend based on our experience.
