I read about the Vermont loophole closing. How can this company still offer it as a service on their website?

Communication started off good but after 3 months of not receiving the requested titles, they went quiet. Paid $800 for 5 replacement titles which as it turns out were sent to an incorrect address.
Have to go through the entire process myself now as these guys do not know what they are doing.

Read the fine print they only prefill free DMV forms for you You still have to go to DMV to apply/pay for title and such. Overpriced misleading service you can do for yourself

As others have said in prior 1 star posts:
You only pay to get a pre filled DMV type form for ~$180.00. I received the form and had to pay another $180+ (Sales tax + fees) to mail into the DMV only to get it back with instructions to call the DMV and hold for an hour+!!! If that wasn’t bad enough, “they” told me to go into an office to register it in person! WTH?!
What did I just pay for??? Oh, I get it now, shame on me.

in payment for a temp registration

Well Im still in the middle of the process but so far everything has gone smoothly. I live in Wa state which is as anti American as a state can get. ''The you can't do that state'' Eventhough I have a signed orginal title dept of licensing wants inheritance paper work and death certificate. Owner died 17 years ago and I dont know where the people are to get that from so Im doing the Vermont thing. Thank you Vermont. We see how rest goes .I think I have to pay a tax still.

Did not get the service I expected. Instead, for $159, I got the documents (largely what I emailed them) mailed to me.

They refused a refund, but it does not stop there. They threatened legal action on me with a PI to investigate “previous car ownership” (probably to scare people who have concerns about previous owners) and sue me for damaging the business (did nothing wrong but file a dispute with BBB with info I can prove via email).

They responded on BBB by saying “in this case the car might have a lien on the account.” Entirely false, literally could not be possible. I have already been told my car can get a title by police, and what DMV records could they sort through? Why work for free after someone is unhappy and wants their money back? They just want to intimidate and create problems.

They also told me via email that the bank would “side with them regardless based on the evidence” and regardless, they would come after me for the money again, but I had 3 days to change my mind.

There is nothing ethical about this company imo. These people who run it should be ashamed of themselves. They also appear to have more than one company doing the same thing

Do a lot of research before using because they basically charged me $159 for a few minutes work for largely more environmental waste and more hassle

Read the fine print no matter what the representative tells you. I was led to believe I was paying for a bonded title 160.00 for them to do it. What I got was DMV paperwork I already had and the name of a bond company,not a bonded title like the representative led me to believe.

Question about titling a mini truck,...
Called knowing titling is problematic for many of us every state has there own rules or lac of knowledge with the 25 year rule.
The guy I talked to, wow,... he is sharp! Told me a few things I knew, but quickly informed me it wasn't a title problem. Any vehicle after 81 needs a 17 digit vin in the usa!
So I have a legal problem , it wasn't built here, so was it imported? Was it imported as a vehicle or a compliment?
So I needed to call customs and run the vin , will do, figured this feedback was most important while the conversation was fresh in my mind.
So if customs has a record get copies and then deal with DMV, no guarantees, but government loves a paper trail. If no record I'd need to import it. Long process no guarantees it will get me a title in the end, depends how much time I'm willing to put in to it.
So the person I talked to get A+ and Then some. They have the knowledge to solve problems, they are not there to print titles! They are there to explain the proper way to get paper work filled out, get you the proper paperwork. Share there knowledge for free, think about that in this day n age. Sorry didn't get the guys name you Sir took a half hour to answer my questions, simple straight forward answers. Didnt get a simple solution, got the truth! I finally has success with getting an Illinois title for an old 1940s Harley that my father bought 53 years ago and never got the title for. I first attempted to get a bonded title for the bike. I purchased a bond and filled out all the paperwork on my own. the state rejected the application for two reasons, first they wanted to be the ones to issue me a bond, second they wanted the bike to be worth $36,000 before they would issue the bond or title. this would give them a tidy sum of $3,000 for the bond over the three years I was required to have it. A friend recommended car titles.com, so I watched several of their YouTube videos and decided to give it a try. I did the leg work on my own, and applied for a Vermont title. after three weeks I received a Vermont plate with the approval stamp on the application paperwork that I had submitted. I was confused, where was my registration and sticker? contacted cartitles.com and got an immediate answer. Those items were not needed and would show up later from the Vermont DMV. the plates come from the department of corrections.
took my plates and the approved application to Illinois DMV. I chose a small DMV in a rural location.... HUGE MISTAKE! don't do this. small DMVs have no clue how to do this kind of title. after a call was placed to the people who wanted to sell me the bond, I was threatened with arrest and told that I couldn't scam the system like that. I was also told that if i was caught with those plates on my bike I'd be arrested. It soon became obvious that this manager didn't know her butt from a hole in the ground. I left and placed a second call to car titles.com They recommended that I try a different DMV. I did that same day. walked into a very busy office and walked out with a brand new Illinois bike plate. title was applied for. due to covid the title had to remain in the QA department for 18 extra days due to the short Vin number but got it in the mail a couple days ago. I recommend that you take the time to understand the process that you are going thru before you do this. Its not a magical thing that causes a title to appear in your mail box. it is more of a road map that will get you to your destination successfully. More importantly, it works!

Overall, I got the results I needed. Anyone dealing with electronic bill of sale you need original signatures in ink, also if you don’t check the box m/f it will get returned.

READ THE FINE PRINT or you will get taken for a fool. This company's ONLY service is to, literally, download the form, pre-fill. THEN you have to sign, pay additional fees, and WAIT. WAIT. WAIT. They do not have access to any institution, they do not follow up. $75 macaroons for a FREE form found online! Geez. UPDATE/REPLY to #cartitles.com: the service you charged me for includes ALL paperwork. Well, it is missing ONE form, out of TWO! as specified in YOUR instructions, form #DO-11-A.

I was having trouble getting my 1971 Volkswagen registered with only a bill of sale. Then I found cartitles.com

It was super easy, they mailed the needed paperwork immediately. I followed the instructions and mailed everything to the Vermont dmv. Two weeks later I received my plate and registration!

They also include instructions and the form for then registering it in my home state

Watched the YouTube videos and ordered a $70 package on a car bought in Kentucky with no tile and then sold it to me. After about a month I got my tags! I’ll hang them on the wall along with the Kentucky tag so I can gloat of my superior use of YouTube to solve my problems!

I found these folks via a google search... the search lead to some educational materials on there sight, I contacted them to see if they could help me and they went above and beyond to educate me on the options available for my situation.
Great resource and well worth it IMO.

I paid the few bucks extra to have CarTitles do the main paperwork for me. The whole process went as they said it would in total about 6 weeks to get my Title/Registration for my old car. I want to thank CarTitles for helping me out and getting another old car back on the road where it should be. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone needing help with car title issues as they were professional and the correspondence follow ups they sent were spot on!

talk about wasting your time, i tried and tried to get hold of a real person, leaving voicemails, they ring you back then hang up straight away and then leave you a voicemail saying go to their website. cant get any info out of them. Waste of time

Just like to say you will loose your money and time. You will not get TITLE! You may got documents for registration but not "Out-of-State Title" what I like to have and not just Registration document and license plates.
I have questions but they will not replay by phone or e-mail.

MY GUT WAS RIGHT. I started the process in November completed in February.. I was nervous thinking I had been scammed,(listening to family and friends that had to put in pessimistic opinions).. To all the nah Sayers.. You must not have kept up your part, as in providing said documentation. You will receive a title or registration/title, which I received. They send you a video and correspondence instructing you on what and how to do the next steps, in getting a clear title. You can try this or you can take your chances on a vehicle w/o papers...
