Chattertons were recommended to us by a former agency, who themselves, were by far and away, superior to any we have had before or since, after being "slightly" mis-sold a tenancy agreement by an agency that are completely the opposite in every way possible.
After lodging a Right to Unwind with this agency they refused to accept it, despite it being obvious to anyone that isn't completely incompetent, that both of us walk with sticks, not for fashion, but we need them due to disabilities, thus preventing us from accessing the loft to the boiler, or as we found out later the Pay-As-You-Go electric meter (we had no idea that it was PAYG) was high up on the wall set back in a cupboard, and only accessible with a ladder!
Given these reasons, plus a plethora of other reasons, we contacted, Michelle Cox, at Chattertons, and explained about our predicament and sent her and her paralegal, Amara Sadiq, the necessary information and they started the ball rolling.
Initially, they came up against a brick wall, one of incredible incompetence, misleading claims and a ubiquitousness of complete ineptitude that if this wasn’t a supposedly reputable agency (that is of course until you look at their Trust Pilot score, oh dear oh dear, so wish I had looked this up in the beginning and all this could have been avoided!) a comedian would have been proud of that material. Anyway, I digress.
Between Michelle and Amara, they were more than a match for that feeble attempt and through persistence, grit, determination and the law, the agency buckled under the weight of what was right, and of course their own ineptitude and incompetence was now laid bare for everyone to see.
Both my partner and I are extremely appreciative of the sterling work they did to bring this matter to its rightful conclusion. We could not have done this without them and their dogged persistence. I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone that has a property matter, that needs an expert hand to guide and/or act for you.

Staff and service very helpful

Very mixed experience after appointing Chattertons to manage my late Uncle-in-laws estate. Very disappointed with the action that they took following a late request from HMRC for a tax return which resulted in them asking for payment back from the five charities who had benefitted from the estate in order to pay cost of preparing the return. Have awarded them 2 stars purely and simply because the lady who did the conveyancing for the sale of his property did an excellent job.
