Chef Akila’s Slow-Cooked Curries Reviews

Always a good choice of recipes and beautifully cooked. Easy to microwave and ready in minutes. Always keep at least one back (for emergencies) before ordering! Delivery is exceptional, well packed and frozen, and delivered on the day of MY choosing. What’s not to like?

Great food! Felt like cooked at home. Well packaged and delivered. Will definitely re order

V little meat, e.g. just 5 pieces of beef in curry. Chicken not breast meat.

Good delivery service, delivered frozen, wrapped weĺlto stay frozen in transit, to enable putting all into freezer, at a convenient time if one is out at work, for example. Meals are cooked quickly from frozen. All are very tasty, can buy curries, sides, rices various , vegetsrian items, very delicious. I think we are maybe a bit greedy, as i have put two different curries in to heat at once, and had half of each, each. So greedy...but so lovely. We do tend to have mains and a rice dish..but no sides....
Another time its fun to have a number of tasty side dishes for our meal. They cook fairly quickly and easily. Excellent produce and experience. Thank you.

Prompt delivery of superb curries.

The curries are beautiful. The frozen products make them really practical with no waste. Will definitely be ordering again

Excellent curries at a very competitive price.
Highly Recommended.

I ordered a set of different meals. They arrived when they should have done and were packaged in a cool box so had been kept cold in transit. Easy to cook from cooking instructions on each meal. Absolutely gorgeous, I would say as good if not better than an Indian takeaway. Maybe the rices could be in a smaller package as personally I cannot eat rice but my husband can, although not a problem as I split it in half and saved for another day. Will definitely order again. Very professional service. Thank you.

My husband loves prawns but he never orders a prawn meal in a restaurant as he doesn’t get enough prawns but when he had Chef Akila prawn curry he couldn’t believe how many prawns were in the curry, it was the best. Also butter chicken is gorgeous and the rice is the best we have ever had. We would definitely recommend to any one.

Very good quality and a good amount.

These have become our Saturday night currys instead of the takeaway, because we’re aiming to eat healthier.
Easy to order online, fast delivery and so easy to heat through. We sometimes add our own veggies as we like it chunky.
Would prefer more recipes with chicken breast rather than leg meat though.

Tried combo meals for 1. V good, generous portion ... possibly too much rice 🤔. Eating our way through other dishes for 2. Think we've tried most and all really good. Bought some sauces too to add meat/ fish to. We'll do that again
Thank you!!

Every ingredient is healthy & consistently delicious 👍

Lovely, tasty food. Well packed for speedy, secure delivery. Value for money.

Great curries. Much better than ready mades, with generous portions.

I really like the food. Much better quality than my local takeaway. I also like fact that the plastic film is very easy to grip and pull.

We tried the chicken korma and butter chicken today. The overall flavour was really nice for the butter chicken but a little bland for the korma(I know that is a very mild curry). Some of the chicken was a little chewy. The pack says it serves 2....the butter chicken only had 8 chunks of chicken in it,albeit decent sized chunks.
The Korma had 11 peices. That really doesnt constitute a meal to serve 2 in my book even with rice or other accompanyments. In my opinion each curry would(and did) serve one person
I'm not sure yet if I would order again at the price as you are paying well over £10 a curry for 8 pieces of chicken. We have 3 more curries to try and maybe they will have a little more chicken in them ? If so I will ammend this review accordingly.
It is worth mentioning that ordering was easy and the delivery and packaging was first class.

Update

I tried another butter chicken last night , there was more chicken in this one, 11 pieces, and all they tasted great.I still dont think it would serve 2 but on the basis of my last meal I think I would reorder as its far superior to most take away curries I have had.

Fantastic company, just keeps getting better. Will have to make another order very soon.

CURRIES are excellent 👌 and full of
Delicious chicken and sauces the Quality is fantastic we have ordered
on a regular basis and the delivery service are always on time.

Well done Chef Akila and staff.
