Churchill Insurance service has become very poor indeed.
I had been a customer of Churchill Insurance since 2023, renewing the cover for my Skoda Superb twice, making no claims and having an unblemished driving record - one would have thought a model client.
The time had come to replace the Skoda with something more modern: a Jaecoo 7 PHEV - hardly a rare car on British roads. I attempted (several times) to change the insured car’s details to ensure continuous cover via the web page - but Churchill would not even provide a quote.
Churchill no longer has a telephone number for customers, so I tried the online chatbot - which was again useless. Next I managed (after many attempts) to have a real person respond via the chat system - I suspect the office was somewhere in India. Responses were very slow so I wasted 3 hours trying to change my policy to my new car. The various operators also proved to be useless; the only solution was to cancel my policy in order to get a NCB certificate.
Addendum: I tried to respond to Churchill’s reply - but the link provided didn’t work. I conclude Churchill Insurance is not serious about service. What a pity.

Big difference from my renewal quote with another company
Churchill's quote was £91 of difference from my current insurance company. They wouldn't budge on their price so I opted for Churchill and was happy to do so. They are a reputable company.
