CITY BUG??? CITY BRILL!!!

Very good products, choice of quality and all branded from budget to premium quality. Very well packaged and quick delivery even during the Covid lockdown of 2019. Mark also sent me another product complimentary after the first one went missing in the post. There is a thriving FB community and Mark is always on hand for advice to newcomers and old timers. Highly recommended.

Ordered the dash and door speaker upgrade

Ordered the dash and door speaker upgrade on 19th May.

Nothing received by 28th May so started chasing for delivery.

Had a reply same day to say the order "is out today". For the first time we were also advised that there had been stock issues, and it turned out there were none available when the order was made - it took 9 days for that info to be given to us, and only after we chased.

Still no delivery by 3rd June. We were given a "2D" tracking number which is useless as it only tells you when the item has been delivered.

Still nothing by 6th June, or 7th June, or 9th June.
Cancelled the order on 11th June and was told would receive refund.

As of today, 22nd June, we have had two rejected / cancelled refunds via Paypal. Looking at previous reviews we are not the first to have had this problem - although the response from the seller was "Hmmm ok, that's odd" when the first refund was cancelled.

Have today started a dispute resolution with Paypal.

Covid and issues with suppliers have been given as the reason for some of the issues we have faced - and these are completely valid. That said, the seller has already confirmed there was no stock when the order was made. They say that stock was due the next day that apparently didn't arrive. Why not come back and tell us? Why wait for us to chase?

Whilst waiting for the refund, we ordered, received and installed speakers from Amazon - all within 3 days.

When things go wrong, sellers have to be on the front foot but we have had to do all the chasing.

Clearly others have had different results with City Bug - but we can only rate them based on our experience, and it has been really poor.

Sorry for the issues with this transaction. Sadly COVID mail issues HAVE come into play on this, and as is happening more and more, the stuggling small business is shouldering the blame for late or missing deliveries. Package codes from Royal Mail were provided, these can only be obtained on the post office receipt, this proves without any doubt that your goods were shipped in good faith.

You have NOT created a dispute with Paypal, that is misinformation, as you have been fully refunded, this has cleared to your account. Please check your Paypal and you will see it is there as cleared funds.

Paypal has been glitchy with refunds for the last few months, plenty of funds reside in the bank that they were pulling from, maybe this is a security issue with the bank, I've yet to find the reason.

As the owners club official store, we are here to help owners of the vehicles. not mess people around.

Terrible to deal with.
Items don't arrive and you have to pester them for months to be refunded. Shipping issues during Covid are a valid excuse, but theres no excuse for making someone wait months for a refund and continually lying to the customer.

Your item was shipped. I've added the tracking, and a second shipped didn't arrive either, almost unheard of.

YES COVID comes into play, Hermes and Royal Mail both had press releases about being totally swamped.

Excellent customer service during The coronavirus

Excellent customer service during the coronavirus lockdown. After ordering some parts online the items did not arrive. I contacted citibug i’ve got an immediate reply. (And By Immediate I mean within a minute) I was asked to wait another 24 hours and decided to wait for two days because of delays in the postal System. The items did not arrive so I contacted them again by email. I got another immediate reply and the items were sent out again, which I received within a day or so. The mark of good customer service can only be measured when things go wrong. So my view of this company’s Customer service is excellent

Good quality products

Ordered a de wiper bung from here. Website was fast and easy to use, really straight forward. The product itself didn’t take long to arrive, especially during the current COVID situation. Good quality product, will be ordering again soon!

I ordered a full service kit from City Bug

I ordered a full service kit from City Bug late on Wednesday afternoon, it was delivered before 9:00am on Thursday Morning. Everything was perfect, I saved a ton of money and it was quicker and much cheaper than trying to find the parts locally. Fantastic job City Bug I will only be ordering from you in the future.

Odered and payd by 2019, not finished today.

Refund is still not payd. This goes on now 1 Year!

LATEST: Telling since Month, he will Refund me, and does...NOTHING.

Written COMPLETE NEW TO FIT THE GUIDELINE

I ordered and payd Car Parts by December 2019. The important Parts are until today NOT delivered to me. It seems they are still inside UK. I had incredible much communication, updates, answers, promises, 2 delivery-retries to send this to me but at the end, I STILL DONT HAVE THESE PARTS. After this time Sender agrees to do a refund. I dont have my Mony back today.

We are still working with this customer to rectify his issues.

It must be noted he is overseas, and the original parcel was returned due to lack of customs fees being paid in the receiving country.

A second package was shipped a while ago, the tracking number is available, but the customer has asked that it not be posted online as it contains address details. This has not been received yet, we are looking into why. It must be noted that the customer was away for 2 weeks during this delivery window.

Hopefully this issue will be solved shortly.

I have never used the city bug store…

I have never used the city bug store before but i ordered x2 wheel cylinders and a tin of brake cleaner for £3.99 on the 4/3/20 they never sent the cleaner i have contacted them twice and still not reciecved the missing order or a refund very poor customer service i feel i have been ripped off, FYI this was ordered way before covid 19 lockdown your reply was very shameful to use the pandemic as an excuse for your running your buisness poorley and i already asked for a refund and it was not given, EDIT as requested by seller no brake cleaner recieved also refund that was issued got cancelled by seller and i could not be bothered to chase it up so i will not change my review

Hi

The brake cleaner has shipped twice, it’s highly probable that it’s snarled up in the covid 19 issues with the post.

I note no issues with the bulk of the order. A really bad review for items delayed by a worldwide pandemic is beyond harsh

The second was indeed shipped after the pandemic started...

As said, happy to refund and you can keep the item should it arrive.

Edit: £3.99 of £38 order refunded. As the official owners club shop there would be no reason on earth to not ship a cheap little aerosol but ship the expensive bulk of the order and risk a bad review...bad reviews are highly damaging to small business.

Hasn't refunded me my $170. Have been trying to get a refund for months.

Ordered a sunroof panel for my Ford Probe from his other website moonroof.co.uk on the 1st of September 2019 for $170. On the 29th of January 2020 I asked for a refund since he never sent it out. It's now the 31st of March 2020 and Mark has stopped responding to my polite emails asking for my money back.

He has now reported my review for being for a different website even though he owns both Citybug and Moonroof.co.uk and Citybug has many reviews while no one has reviewed Moonroof.co.uk yet. So why wouldn't I post this where the most people would see it?

The City Bug Store is excellent

The City Bug Store is excellent. I needed a new auxiliary belt to drive my Alternator and Water Pump for my 2007 Citroen C1. Whilst browsing the store, I saw some Osram headlights and thought they'd be a massive improvement for my car. I've been a member of the Facebook group for quite a while, and had been asking questions regarding others experiences with the lights, which were good, but there were other ones on the market. I purchased them, and the belt together for a very reasonable price. They both arrived together within 3-5 working days. The belt was very good quality and fitted perfectly, the Lights I purchased were different from the ones I bought, with a little note in the package from the owner saying that these were much better (discussed in group also), and trust me, they're amazing! My experience with the store has been great so far and I hope to make more purchases as needed. The Facebook group is also great for help and support with all City Bug related things! 10/10

Goods Not Arrived and No Refund

I ordered a speaker and a facia upgrade on the 7th December. The speakers eventually arrived just before Christmas but the facia didn't. I chased on the 2nd January and was told that it was posted a while back but a replacement would be sent. I chased again on the 7th January and asked them to reship. I chased again on the 15th January as nothing had been received. There were a few e-mails asking for my address but no confirmation of posting of either the original or replacement item.
I then looked at the Trustpilot reviews and saw that my experience was exactly the same as others had experienced, goods not received and refunds not being made with a string of excuses.
I asked for a refund and was told it would be made. I received an email from Paypal on the 18th January stating that funds would be back with me on the 24th. I received another e-mail from Paypal on the 24th saying that the refund had been refused.
I contacted Citybug again and am now still waiting. I will update this review if I ever receive funds back in my account.
My experience reflects that of others for the Citybug Store and its C1 predecessor.
It's not difficult to post something or to make a refund. Clearly Citybug do not have the stock and are unwilling to make refunds when requested. Having just read another review I suspect the speaker socket will not fit when I get round to fitting despite the speakers being advertised as a tested straight swap.
CLEARLY A SHAM OPERATION. DO NOT USE.

The speaker sockets fit just fine provided you have ordered for the correct model. About 40 of these kits ship per week. They only don't fit if you ordered for the wrong model, which people occasionally do despite it clearly being noted in the description.
