i loved this experience staff were fantastic lovely meal

I have been trying to coordinate a birthday party for 20–25 people for over a week and unfortunately, the customer service experience has been very disappointing. Responses have been inconsistent, and it has been difficult to get clear information or assistance in planning the event.
Saffron was kind enough to offer us a tour of the boats so that we could see the options and finalize the details. However, she has since been unavailable, and another staff member told us that a tour is not possible and that we should simply make the booking based on the information available on the website.
For a group of 20–25 people and a special birthday celebration, it is difficult to make such a significant booking without seeing the boat and understanding the available options in person. We are simply asking for a quick tour so we can make an informed decision.

I hope City Cruises can improve the consistency of its customer service and provide better support for customers planning larger private events.

This has always been an amazing, exciting trip, but the new VIP boarding surpasses all expectations! The best part is having exclusive access to the very front of the boat. The staff is friendly and professional and welcoming

I feel cheated. The sales guy knew I wanted to get to Greenwich from Westminster. He sold me a massively inflated priced ticket and I ended up getting a city cruise rather than the uber boat I wanted. The voyage to Greenwich soaked up all the time i had to spend with my granddaughter and wasted our day because it toll soooo long to get to Greenwich. Buyer beware. I was cheated by this unscrupulous company.

Great service just rather dirty, old boat

We had a great river cruise made even better by the crew members guide and interesting facts and pointing out landmarks along the way.
Would definitely recommend.

Great ride to Salem and back from Boston Harbor. Would eagerly do it again. Spend some time in the charming, very walkable downtown Salem. Highly recommended.

July 26,2026 The person working at the counter gave my tickets away and lied about scanning my code and verification of my identity. I never got on the ship at all due to her mistake nor did my other people who I got tickets for their tickets was a no show really unfair. I have proof of me dining at another restaurant when I supposed to be on the ship

Lovely river cruise! Staff were all friendly and helpful and the history commentary was lovely. Such a good way to take in the beautiful sights of York!

Charged twice - had to fight for 2 months to get a refund despite being told it was a system issue and my refund was coming.

I was also abused by the lady in the ticket office who accused me of trying to get free tickets despite having in fact paid 2x! Quite the opposite of trying to get free tickets. She also defamed me and claimed I was chasing customers away and tried to refuse to serve me.

Her colleague was rolling her eyes at her - she is known as Jhanu and is in the Greenwich branch.

The lady on the phone on the USA was brilliant however. She gets 5 stars.

Trying to get a refund from City Cruises has been a terrible experience. I contacted them through live chat, phone calls, and emails yet my issue remains unresolved. Whenever I asked questions or requested to speak with a supervisor, I either received no proper answers or a new excuse. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company. I hope City Cruises starts valuing its customers' time and money and handles complaints with the professionalism they deserve.

Spirit of Navy Pier has a beautiful deck. The windows are huge. Food good. Service very attentive.

I do not feel the menu, service or accommodations were commiserate with the price. The buffet was poorly maintained with a slightly above average menu (food improved, compared to previous ship, due to better seasoning, but the salmon was dry and some vegetables were bland). The plates and food ran out with a 15-20 wait for refills when reservations were made for the multiple scheduled events; demonstrating poor planning. I was shocked to pay for soft drinks with the high cost. So glad you upgraded the entertainment portion with a DJ for the entire cruise.
