So far easy to get learner’s insurance BUT the customer service side from the amazing taxi insurance (that didn’t have anything to do with my issue but went above and beyond to help) to the learner’s insurance that were understanding and absolutely fantastic… so far I would recommend collingwood to everyone

Excellent customer service and choice of Learner Driver policies.
I contacted Collingwood after they came out on top for learner driver insurance on a comparison website. I wanted to speak to someone before committing fully to the Learner Driver policy for my son. My son and I spoke to Cass who was amazing from beginning to end. She explained everything clearly and discussed my son’s options. She explained the benefits of the annual learner driver policy and the short term learner driver policy, including cancellation fees. She added me as a “nominated person” on my son’s policy so that I can phone and discuss his policy anytime. Everything was so easy and Cass was so patient and understanding and made sure that my son and I knew what our options were so we could choose what was going to work best. She sent my son a code for free premium access to an app called Road How to help him prepare for his driving test. I would highly recommend Collingwood. 5 star service. Cass deserves recognition for her excellent customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Can't log into the account that i created 5 mins ago. I try to reset password and this doesn't work either. Then tried to use the chat function to get help and this tells me to click reset password which doesn't work. Rubbish!

They let themselves down with a hidden policy fee.
Was initially impressed with Collingwood Ins. for our son's learner insurance policy, with reasonable rates, good cover options, ticked all the boxes. Then a year later, after taking out a 1 year temporary cover term, they take £40.00 from our bank account as we did not let them know our son had passed his test. This in our opinion is very underhand and what you would expect of a dishonest and low end insurance provider. Never heard of this non-sense before so hence the 1 star. You may want to rethink your devious position on this stupid fee for future victims!
