I had excellent service over many years from my previous wealth manager however, following a takeover and numerous staff departures, service levels went rapidly downhill and my stress level kept rising. My search for a new company proved extremely frustrating. I spent hours on the internet getting nowhere. However I then chanced upon comparewealthmanagers. Initially, frankly, I was somewhat suspicious thinking there must be a catch somewhere but Rory proved to be an absolute Godsend. He has detailed knowledge of the wealth management market. He took time to understand my needs which are complicated by the fact that I report tax in two countries which has significant impact on investment strategy. He put me in touch with firms that have exactly the sort of niche expertise I was looking for. After each meeting he followed up to discuss feedback. There was no ‘selling’ or attempts to push me in a particular direction. I was so lucky to have found Rory when I did and I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Paul saved me the job of having to evaluate prospective firms, by introducing me to companies already vetted by CWM. The companies Paul put forward were professional, expert and engaging, and each conducted a full assessment of my needs and desired outcomes. The final two delivered robust proposals which exceeded my expectations and either company would have made an excellent choice. I’m now in the process of transferring my investments across to the chosen firm. If you're unfamiliar with the financial or investment world, it can be daunting and overwhelming to know where to start. Neil was very supportive and patient in explaining everything to me. Rory and team provide a very useful and (importantly) independent service. They took the time to understand my requirements and my approach before making recommendations.

After completing a form online, I had a follow up call with Rory in which he listened to my circumstances and what I wanted to achieve. He made a couple of suggestions and introductions, including one that I would not have considered ordinarily. He thought they would be particularly interesting to me and he was right! I have signed up.

Rory listened carefully to my slightly odd requirements, and then suggested a partner who he thought could satisfy them: how could I have found them otherwise? There seems precious little signal on financial planners available to non-experts that isn't obviously biased. More importantly, Rory has followed up a couple of times to find out what happened next. He's done this without in any way being a pest, but I think it paints a professional picture: how would he know who to recommend if he disconnected once matching customers to partners?

I left a very disappointed review on 28 January,as the form filling had go well then the form would not accept my company email address ,apparently I am invalid !.
Since leaving said review within hours I had been emailed and phone contact and it wa explained there was a web Tec issue which was being worked on and corrected and since that call I can say I have received service that I could only wish my company could aim to achieve ,so well done on seeing my comments and such prompt redemption was achieved.thank you stuart sayer .

I've worked in and around the comparison industry for many, many years - and there are many very well known ones - mainly due to their annoyingly repetitive advertising! So you can forgive me for being a bit cynical when I gave these guys a call. However, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised.

In keeping with many of the companies they represent, the service is very personal. I dealt with Rory (Scott), one of the founders. Far from having what I would describe as a "founder mentality", Rory was incredibly personable, honest and forthright in our discussions. I found his advice both useful and trustworthy - despite not having known him for that long.

Even when I ended up opting for a provider who is not on his site, he nevertheless gave me time and honest opinion. A truly refreshing change - as was at least one of the providers he recommended.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a new wealth management provider!

Poor… I was looking to compare general fees / costs and performance of a number of wealth management firms. After answering a number of questions including, providing personal info, I received a suggestion of some wealth management firms that might suit. No obvious information comparing them or why they are particularly suited to me. It feels like a data grab to capture your personal data as so often seems the case with websites nowadays… if not why would it be compulsory to enter post code, email and phone number? I did not go further than the disappointing result and so can not personally recommend this company…

We found Compare Wealth Managers through a web search. Service from our current wealth manager had become somewhat unsatisfactory and we wanted to explore alternatives. After completing the online questions there was a prompt follow-up telephone call which led to a telephone discussion with Rory. He was friendly, professional and helpful in identifying three potential options for an alternative wealth manager. CWM facilitated introductions to each one who contacted us to arrange discussions and we now have a new Financial Planner and Investment Manager who are doing a good job for us. Rory has followed up regularly throughout the process and clearly knows the people well - which puts him in a good position to help to match client needs to relevant providers. We are very pleased with the professional service that Rory has provided - and in the outcome of the process.

Tl;dr: excellent service which I have no hesitation in recommending to friends.

My wife and I decided to organise our finances a bit and had been in touch with some of large Financial Advisors from our bank and related big companies. We had essentially zero previous experience with dealing with financial advisors. Just as a sort of "due diligence" last step, we decided to search around to try and find some other IFAs, and found Compare Wealth Managers.

After filling out CWM's short enquiry form, we had a call with Rory where we chatted over what we were looking for. He was friendly and knowledgeable and suggested a couple of options for IFAs who had offices near our location (we're in Scotland) who could help us. We're now in the final stages of signing up with one of those and we're very happy about it - they've turned out to be a far better fit for us compared to the earlier financial services we were talking with.

In terms of what to expect, for us the process was roughly as follows: fill out a form with basic details; CWM give you a call or if you miss that, a mail. We scheduled a meeting with Rory (I think it was around 30 - 60 mins, but we were also chatting a lot 😀) where he gathered some more details in order to narrow down who to put us in touch with (Rory was very clear that we only needed to provide information we were comfortable sharing). At the end of the call, and with our explicit permission, he passed our details over to the recommended IFAs. After that we dealt with the IFAs in order to choose one. Finally, Rory followed up with us some time later to check if everything had gone well, and if we needed any further assistance. All very smooth, professional and personal.

We contacted CWM to review options for a new wealth management company to guide my wife and I as we move towards retirement. The search engine asked a range of questions and came up with a number of what we believed were credible and interesting options. This was followed up by a call from Rory to discuss our options and ensure he (and we) fully understood what was available to best meet our requirements. He then managed the initial introductions and I am pleased to say we have now identified a preferred counterpart from his proposed IFA list. Still in process of moving over but I have already recommended this service to other friends to assist their decision making process.
