Fast efficient service that provided the reassurance we required regarding an accurate stamp duty calculation to proceed with our house purchase. You repeatedly miscalculated the SDLT…

You repeatedly miscalculated the SDLT due in my property purchase.
It was assumed by you that your automated systems worked, so after each of 3 occasions when the errors were pointed out the subsequent output was wrong…you need to put in place a check process when adjustments are made to ensure revised documents have in fact been updated…mine weren’t and it was very frustrating to be continually told that tax was due when it wasn’t. Your apologies, whilst welcome, have no value here. I have paid for a service which has been very poorly delivered. You should consider whether it is appropriate that I should pay for that poor service. I shall leave that with you!

When you informed us of a change in circumstances after the HMRC submission stage, we recalculated your SDLT promptly after receiving the required documentation. The only actual error occurred during the submission process when our system mistakenly re-requested a second review on the earlier draft instead of the revised version. This issue has now been fixed on our live system. We value your input and would be happy to discuss your concerns further to find a fair resolution. Please contact our team at your convenience.

My solicitors used Compass to calculate…

My solicitors used Compass to calculate stamp duty for a residential flat purchase. I had to call up for a minor technical issue and Fabian was really helpful, fixed it on the spot and then ran me through the form and some extra questions he needed to ask me in a clear, informative and very friendly way. He not only made it easy to complete and understand but also a joy and positive experience. Many thanks!

Such brilliant helpful people to deal with. When it comes to SDLT they certainly know their stuff and I was very quick to receive a response and confirmation SDLT Certificate and all done on a late Friday afternoon. Your tech didn't work

Your tech didn't work - but your agent was extremely helpful.
1. No verification code arrived despite trying on several devices, checking spellings, checking spam folder etc.
2. Agent finally got me logged in. He couldn't work out what happened and said he was referring case to IT.
3. The form that finally appeared was missing the initial pages covering name, dob, ID etc - BUT I only found that out when I spoke to the agent to see if all was well. He couldn't understand how the system had allowed me to submit an incomplete form.
None of this inspired ANY confidence in your service!
Having said that, the agent sorted the issue and could not have been more helpful and apologetic,

Some email providers, particularly BT Internet and BT Openworld, have been disproportionately unreliable in delivering our verification emails. Despite our efforts to work with them on a resolution, they have been unwilling to assist. To prevent this from affecting users in the future, we have introduced SMS verification. Verification codes will now be sent via both email and text message, ensuring a more reliable login experience. We have also improved the formatting and structure of our emails to increase deliverability. These updates will be available in our next release.

We have also been investigating the issue with the missing form pages but have not yet been able to replicate it. Our team is continuing to review the system to understand what may have happened. If you are able to provide any additional details, we would really appreciate it. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@compass.tech, as this would help us resolve the problem more quickly.

While we regret that you encountered these difficulties, we are glad our support team was able to assist you and make sure you were able to move forward. We also want to acknowledge the delay in responding to your review. Rather than replying immediately, we focused on making meaningful improvements first.
