Darlows Reviews 

Do not use Darlows to manage your property! They do not answer the phone, return voice messages or respond to emails. Our property has been left with a rainwater leak which has effected the electrics since July. We were not informed of the leak and no one has been sent to repair as it was "not a priority" We have been trying to contact them for over a week but no response to any of our emails and no one has returned our calls. Appauling service.

We have had a very bad time at our property but if it wasn’t for Zara Lawes she had been amazing and done everything she can for us.

Emma and Cai were helpful and professional at every stage of the letting process, from initial enquiry to moving in day. Thank you very much.

I am very angry about the call back I received regarding my enquiry about viewing the property below.

What I plan to do with my properties has no bearing on my ability to purchase a property

I am offended that you based your assumptions on my postcode and assume I am what? Wasting your time?

Nothing in here says that I need to prove I can purchase the property before being able to view a property, it does state I should be offered a Virtual Viewing where possible and arrange a viewing in advanced

This is what I was trying to do before I was questioned about my finances. I am in shocked you had the audacity to ask me to provide proof of a pre-approved mortgage.

There was one assumption you did get right my inability to work with in the future, good luck finding the type of customers you are looking and that they come from the types of areas you prefer

Very poor customer service. In my experience they only cared about our landlord and not I “tenant”. Before we moved into the house we were assured by Darlows that the landlord would fix everything that needed fixing in the house which included the damping. After moving in we discovered a lot of other things were faulty. This included the boiler, window and door locks not working. When I tried to get in touch with Darlows they respond a couple of times and when they finally did all the said was they weren’t liable and that we would have to talk to the landlord about it. Every time the landlord needed them to give me and information they would never fail to do that but they neglected our complaints. I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t never rent or buy a property through them ever again.

This review is an acknowledgement for Chloe Hutchings for her brilliant customer service. Chloe promptly informed me of a particular issue that needed to be addressed. Separately to this I required some urgent information which Chloe provided within the hour! I’m very impressed with the service provide, Chloe very much relived what could have been a stressful situation.

After some inconsistent communication and support with our rental properties, Gareth Coleman has taken control of a couple of issues with one property and has done an exceptional job. A 6 star review for Gareth, dropping a star in the official rating due to previous experience with Darlows in general.

Happened now the second time in a row that we were booked in to view a house and we were let down by the agents. First time the agent did not show up and multiple members of the team lied to us this was the Cardiff branch, they stated that the agent is on the way while it turned out there was no booking at all and we waited for no one to come out for 20 minutes. The second time they have failed to notify us in time about that they cannot get access to the property to show it to us. This resulted in us taking half-day off from work for absolutely no reason. Needless to say, I cannot recommend the company at all and very happy that we did not sell our house through them and won't be buying anything that is being sold through Darlows. Big let down. Would have given 0 scores if I could for the unprofessional work. Also, that is not an excuse for no communication between team members that some work from home. Writing an email and paying attention should be the minimum skill for being able to work for a company like that.

Zara has persevered, over the course of a number of weeks, to resolve a difficult situation in one of our rental properties. She has followed up diligently and kept me well informed at every step. It was a real relief when she called me this morning to say that the situation had finally been resolved. Well done and thank you!

Asset to Darlows

After moving into my new property, I had a few questions that I needed answering. After a few calls to Darlows, I had a phone call from Zara who told me she'd get the answers I was searching for.... 25 minutes later she calls back, with the answers. Great, friendly service. Very helpful and efficient. Thank you!

Not having a good experience with Darlows and my tenancy but Zara Lawes has been amazing and sorted my issue out as soon as possible.
