No food allergen information
In other countries Deliveroo operates they insist on restaurants including allergen information. Here in UAE we are told to contact the retailer for any concerns about ingredients. This totally takes the convenience factor away and moreover many of the restaurants never answer their phones. For a company specialising in food delivery to not insist that restaurants include this basic info is madness.

I faced an issue with one of the items where it was rotted and had unbearable smell and the help from Deliveroo support was unbelievably poor. No matter what I wrote, they would just send me saved templates, making me feel like I wasn’t talking to a human. The salmon had a foul smell, and instead of helping, they said they couldn’t refund or assist me. I asked them to contact the shop and help me return the item, but they only provided me with the shop’s phone number. After multiple attempts, I was able to speak to the shop, and they agreed to take the item back and send a new one. However, according to them, Deliveroo should arrange for someone to pick up the item and deliver the exchange so again imagine instead of enjoying my food I was wasting my time with such useless support team, the shop tried to contact to arrange the pickup but they didn’t even answer their call.
Look at the kind of service you’re providing.

Thieves, do not trust their credit refunds …
Fix Desserts ran out of stock and refunded my money to Deliveroo. They did not honour the credit. When I tried to reorder, the payment failed all the times. This was recorded in their system as a cancelled order and they suspended my account claiming that I’ve cancelled my orders too many times. They did not refund my money. This is fraud and they are thieves. Fix Dessert has partnered with the wrong delivery company.

Delivery guy had an accident.. they informed me after 20 mins that im not going to receive my pizza.. they re ordered the pizza. Arrived over 1 hour late and they decline giving me a reimbursement.. customer service in deliveroo is very bad.

ZERO STAR. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY DO NOT USE. Placed an order which never arrived yet on their app they stated delivered. When I contacted them before listening to me, they told me they were not going to refund me as I had caused the no show. They claimed they called me but I did not answer, yet there were no missed calls on my phone. Please save your money by taking it elsewhere.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience using Deliveroo. As a premium member who orders daily, I expect a certain level of care and professionalism in both delivery and customer support. Unfortunately, my latest order was left on the floor next to the garbage room, an unacceptable and unhygienic location, especially for food delivery. I’m on the ground floor, so it would have been easy for the driver to notify me directly, rather than placing my order in such an inappropriate spot.
This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered similar issues, and it’s very frustrating. To make things worse, when I reached out to customer service, I was met with indifference. They were unwilling to offer a refund or even an apology, leaving me feeling completely undervalued as a loyal customer.

One of the items in my order was missing upon delivery. When I reached out to your customer care team, I was shocked by their response—they refused to take my complaint, dismissed my concerns, and told me I could only file a complaint via email. They claimed this was due to a new policy preventing refunds for undelivered items. I sent the email with necessary pictures but the response was the same. However I contacted the store directly and they checked the cc tv cameras and accepted thier mistake and delivered the missed item after 1 day. But Deliveroo never accepted thier mistake and continued with thier denial.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially from a reputable company like Deliveroo. It damages your credibility and shows a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. Because of this experience, I have decided to stop ordering from Deliveroo altogether…
blocking my account
Wrong deliveries, I paid for the membership fee and the the order won't go thru, as they blocked by account and never returned the money back.
When you try to contact them , they say we will report it to the higher team, they reply back that they suspended my account for placing orders for potentially hazardous items in bulk quantities, I am not aware they are selling any hazardous items.
I don't recommend this service to anyone

Poor customer service. Do not used this services. I placed my order and claiming that the item was delivered but it wasn’t. I
Am asking for the proof of delivery showing that the item is received but couldn’t give me. How would I rely on this third party provider if they couldn’t give me proper solution. The money I paid is not cheap but the customer service they have are incompetent. They’re claiming on their portal it was delivered but the recipient told me that nobody delivered such items. If they’re claiming it was delivered just send us the proof to whom they delivered but
