Talabat.jo Jordan, was great ever since I started using it in July 2025. Then shortly in February, and March 2026, their follow up began to dwindle. I lost about 30 JD's in total of missing items.... Toon meer

Horrible experience!
I ordered sushi from the Talabat app, however when I received the order - it was half damaged and food was messed up in the box. Also, there was a leakage from it. When I contacted customer service in the Talabat app, the agent gladly assisted and very clearly confirmed that my money will be refunded back to the Talabat Pay wallet. However, after 30 minutes I received a voucher for future usage rather than a promised refund. You are lying to the customers, that's horrible, rather than to assist. Once again I contacted the customer support, agent Habib was assisting me. It was ridiculous to see how he is defending himself by lying to the customer and forcing to pay for the damaged order by creating vouchers for future usage. This was not the 1st time when money was refunded to me on my Talabat Pay wallet, however now they are trying to tell me that it can't be done. Only 30 minutes ago another colleague confirmed to me that the refund will be processed. Such a liar!!!!

I ordered 4 packs of coffee from Ben Shaheen through Talabat (Talabat Mart). After 3 days, I opened the first pack (since I still had some older coffee), and unfortunately, the coffee was burnt and smelled very bad.
I contacted customer service, but there was a clear lack of interest. The agent told me they couldn’t process a return because more than 12 hours had passed since the purchase. I wanted to return the "closed packs" to avoid the issue in another pack.
Zero flexibility or attempt to resolve the issue. Actually just a talent in manipulation and giving you the idea about how un-interested they are in your case.
I asked to escalate the complaint or speak to a supervisor, but there was no real response.
What made it worse is that a supervisor was supposed to contact me, but instead I received a missed call that rang for literally 2 seconds. It felt like a tactic just to mark the case as “contacted” and close the complaint without actually addressing it.
Overall, a very disappointing experience in both product quality and customer service. I won’t be ordering again.

I had received a 30-Dirham voucher as part of their 7-day Challenge, valid until 25 April 2026. However, when I tried to use it in the morning of 25 April 2026, it was already showing on the app as expired and it would not allow me to use it.
I chatted with their team on the app and also shared a screenshot. They called me back and said we’ll sort it out, then asked for a positive feedback, which I did based on their promise.
I then had a call from the complaint management team and they told me that the vouchers can expire at any time during the expiry date (which could be the first minute!!) and that they cannot do anything to help now it’s already expired on their system. I insisted that there are many hours left before the end of the day and asked for a manager to call back - was promised a call within 30 minutes. Having not received the call, I chatted again to their support team on the app; they called me back confirming that it’s already been escalated, then also asked me for a positive feedback.
It is now over 5 hours and still no call back; I bet they’ll still ask for a positive feedback when they do, as it seems it is all they care about.
Ironically, I am a shareholder of Talabat and it is painful to give a negative feedback. I’ll be definitely raising this issue at the next general meeting. I’ll then look forward to selling my shares ASAP after that.
PS: wait for the same cop/paste cliche of a response, which further reinforces that they do not have any respect for their customers.
UPDATE FOLLOWING THEIR RESPONSE
I sent an email as advised in their response while knowing already it’s going to be a waste of time. As expected, I received another cliche email about valuing customers but the bottom line remained that nothing can be done to honour the deadline.
ADVICE: vouchers expire before the deadline stated so use them well before that.
MY PLAN OF ACTION: - cancel my Talabat PRO (already set a reminder on my phone to cancel before the renewal date) - report my experience at the next shareholder meeting - then sell all my shares, as I don’t want to be associated with Talabat anymore - use my existing membership with the better competition: Deliveroo, Careem and Smiles + explore Noon and Keeta

I had a very frustrating experience with talabat Mart. One of the items I received was damaged, and although the app later claimed that they tried to contact me to arrange a pickup, no one ever reached out to me at all.
To make things worse, I then received a message saying they were “unable to reach me” and that no refund would be processed if the item wasn’t returned. This is completely inaccurate and unfair, as I was never contacted in the first place.
It’s extremely disappointing to be held responsible for a failed communication that didn’t happen, especially when the issue was with a damaged product from their side. Customer service should be more transparent and actually attempt proper contact before making such claims.

We’ve been using Talabat for years, and this is not an isolated incident and needs to be addressed seriously.
Our orders are always paid online, yet riders repeatedly show up and immediately demand cash at the door — before even confirming anything.
In my latest experience, the rider immediately demanded “150 AED cash” the moment I opened the door. The actual bill was around 91 AED, and when I checked his phone myself, the only extra amount visible was ~1.33 AED (plastic bag fee) — yet he kept insisting multiple times on “150”, with no matching amount on the receipt.
This is not the first time riders have asked for extra “bag money” despite it being included in the bill.
As I pointed out the actual numbers clearly while he continued repeating “150” without any valid explanation, when I had offered 100 AED (still more than the real total), he refused and asked for “change,” then abruptly left without clarifying that no payment was required, which is unprofessional and confusing.
This was not a misunderstanding:
- The number on the screen did not match what he was saying
- He ignored corrections when I pointed it out clearly
- He continued pushing for a higher cash amount
This pattern has happened multiple times (not just once), often involving:
- sudden “cash” requests on prepaid orders
- vague explanations about “bag fees”
- inflated verbal amounts that don’t match the actual bill
At this point, this does not feel like a language barrier - it feels like a systemic issue being repeated across riders.
The mismatch in amounts and insistence on cash suggests either poor system clarity and training, or riders taking advantage of confusion.
This creates a very uncomfortable situation, especially when younger family members answer the door.
If bag fees exist, they should be:
- clearly included in the app
- never collected manually at the door
Customers should not have to double-check or defend themselves at their own doorstep.
This needs stricter enforcement & clearer communication from Talabat.

THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!! I genuinely don’t even have words for how bad Talabat is. It is, without a doubt, the most frustrating and unreliable service I have ever used. I honestly don’t understand how they are still operating.
The support team is completely useless—you literally have to tell them how to do their job. They have absolutely no idea how to resolve issues, and it feels like no one takes any responsibility.
The worst part? They constantly LIE. They tell you a driver is at the restaurant picking up your order when, in reality, there is no driver at all. They don’t even investigate the issue—they just give you false updates and hope you accept it.
It is a complete waste of time and energy, and they will push your patience to the limit. The stress and frustration are honestly not worth it.
Do yourself a favor—STAY AWAY. Rather go to the store yourself or use any other delivery service. Anything is better than this.
This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. Absolutely shocking.

Issue: Breach of Delivery Delay Policy & Staff Misconduct
My order was delayed by over an hour, which by Talabat’s own policy warrants a 50 AED compensation. They issued only 20 AED and then proceeded to provide the worst customer experience I have encountered in the UAE:
Systemic Deception: I contacted support 7 times (4 chats, 3 calls). Despite agents verbally promising the remaining credit and manager callbacks, they unilaterally marked my case as “RESOLVED” 9 separate times without providing any solution. This is a clear attempt to manipulate internal metrics by closing active complaints.
Professional Misconduct: An agent named Tabeel ROY was dismissive and rude. When I requested my right to escalate to a supervisor, he refused and abruptly disconnected the call.
Broken Promises: I was told multiple times I would receive a call/credit within "3 minutes" or "30 minutes." Hours later, nothing.
I have now escalated this matter to the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) for a formal investigation into their "Auto-Resolution" practices and breach of consumer rights.
If you value your time and expect a company to honor its own policies, use a different service. Talabat has no accountability.

I used a valid card that clearly showed a 40% discount at the time of checkout. The final payable amount displayed was AED 101. However, once the payment was processed, AED 144 was deducted from my account instead.
This is very concerning, as the discount was visible before confirming the payment. I am unsure whether this is a system error or an issue from your side, but this needs to be addressed immediately.
I request you to:
1. Review this transaction urgently
2. Refund the excess charged amount of AED 41
3. Provide clarification on why the discount was not applied

Talabat stole my money when they took payment but my order to talabat mart was not successful so it got cancelled but of course, they still took payment, ironic.
Every agent that I spoke to was useless and no one actually did anything to help me out.
Worst app til date

Today, I placed an order at 7:14 PM (Order Number: 3554191947) from Al Maya Supermarket. At approximately 8:15 PM, a Talabat driver contacted me asking whether I had received my order. Shortly after, I received another call from your call center agent asking the same question, to which I clearly responded that I had not received anything.
Despite this, there was no proper update or resolution provided. Around 8:45 PM, I received a call from one of your agents, Seraj Ahmad, who informed me that the order would be canceled due to “technical issues.” His tone was extremely rude and unprofessional, and he abruptly hung up the call without offering any assistance or apology.
This level of service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have faced such issues while ordering through Talabat. Repeated delays, lack of coordination, and poor customer service reflect very badly on your company.
I strongly urge you to take strict action regarding the behavior of your agent, Seraj Ahmad, and to seriously review your service quality. At this point, Talabat has become one of the most unreliable platforms I have used. You may want to learn from competitors like Careem or Deliveroo, who handle customer experience far more professionally.
I expect a proper explanation and corrective action regarding this incident.
