My experience trying to obtain my early years statement was the worst I've ever encountered. They took all my money for translations, only to inform me in the end that my documents weren’t reliable enough to process. Save yourself the trouble and don’t waste your time with this website! They are truly frustrating!

It's shocking to discover that e-statements from 2023 and earlier are neither accessible nor retrievable. The only option is to "re-order" the e-statement which is just essentially repeating the entire service. In this digital era, one would expect at least a fee waiver since service was already given or a disclaimer in email comms that certification has expiration date. Of course, why give a disclaimer if you can charge for service again immigrants who would pay as they desperately need it? Thank god we just needed it for minor thing now so I’ll go with alternative in this case and happy to share a review.

Be cautious, and consider exploring alternative methods, including verification through other countries' systems which are still recognised in the UK.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response and resolution regarding my case. It has been five days since my last communication with the reassessment team, and I have yet to receive any updates.
As mentioned in my previous email, I strongly believe that the assessment was based solely on my previous comparability certificate, which I also believe to be incorrect, without a thorough review of my qualifications. Additionally, there seems to have been no proper evaluation of the reasons why my visa and nationality (English proficiency) outcome was declined.
I had requested that this matter be raised as a formal complaint for further investigation, but I have not received any response since my last email on 5th March. This continued lack of communication and resolution is completely unacceptable.
If you are considering using services from this company, I strongly advise you to reconsider. Save your time and money, as I have not experienced the level of service or professionalism that should be expected.

Thank you for your response and for taking the time to review my application. While I understand that the terms and conditions outline the reassessment policy and timeframes, I would like to formally escalate my request for further review, as previously mentioned in my prior communications.

I believe that the initial assessment may have been based solely on my previous comparability certificate rather than a more detailed and comprehensive evaluation of my qualifications. I feel that this may not have adequately addressed the reasons behind the decline of my Visa and Nationality application, particularly with respect to my English proficiency.

Given the importance of this matter, I would like to formally request a more in-depth review of the assessment process. It appears that certain aspects, such as the specific reasons for the Visa and Nationality application decline, may not have been fully considered. I am confident that a thorough evaluation of my qualifications would lead to a more accurate and fair outcome.

Could you please provide a detailed explanation of the rationale behind the decision and clarify the procedures followed in the assessment? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could treat this as a formal complaint and conduct an internal review of the assessment process.

I have already sent my response via email, but since I received a reply here as well, I wanted to share part of my feedback.

While I appreciate the time and effort taken to address this matter, I am still dissatisfied with the outcome. I cannot change my review to align with the company's standard procedure, as it does not fairly reflect the needs of individuals in my situation as dependents. Your response seems to focus primarily on individuals who need IELTS to prove their English proficiency. However, dependents only need to prove proficiency in Speaking and Listening. It seems that the company has not fully considered the broader context, and as a result, the solution does not address the specific needs of people like myself.

I hope this feedback will be taken into consideration in the future.

The most riddiculous statement of comparability. They literally only translate the title of the school that you studied no subjects, nothing else. Not worth the money at all, plus waiting time to get the comparison is 3-4 weeks

Extremely poor and frustrating experience when dealing with ECCTIS for getting a Statement of Comparability. According to them some rule changed in 2024 and due to many "factors", they cannot accept documentation that was previously accepted. My degree was awarded in late 1990's and now they are asking me to get transcript from University and would not accept transcript from affiliated college which they used to accept, as my husband got the same statement from UK NARIC in 2005 who graduated from the same college/university/year and provided exactly the same set of documents. They are unwilling to evaluate a four years degree based on evidence that i have provided that includes a degree from the University and final transcript from the university that even shows the subjects assessed, and are not willing to accept the transcript that shows all semesters. Why does the UK Govt. keep outsourcing services to incompetent companies, who are in the market to make a quick buck and not actually provide a service.

am writing to follow up on my appeal regarding the verification of my Medium of Instruction document, as I have yet to receive a response or see any action taken to contact my university, despite the assurances given.

Due to the ongoing war in Sudan, my university has relocated from Khartoum to Port Sudan, making access to original documents extremely difficult. Nevertheless, I have submitted all necessary documents, including a newly issued Medium of Instruction document, a signed Letter of Authority, and other supporting materials. Despite this, there has been no direct verification attempt with my university.

This lack of follow-up contradicts the verification process outlined in your initial response. Since I have provided all relevant contact details and authorization, I expect Ecctic to proceed accordingly rather than placing the entire responsibility on me.

I urge you to review this matter and complete the verification process as promised by directly contacting my university , If you are unable to proceed with this service, I kindly request that the fee be transferred to the Statement of Compatibility service instead.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

At first, I assumed ECCTIS would be too busy and take around nine months to process my application. But to my surprise, I received a response in less than a week! They informed me that if I wanted a faster process, I should submit the requested documents for an international detailed check.
Feeling confident, I sent everything and paid for the service. What I thought would take nine months was completed within a month! In fact, I delayed myself more in applying than ECCTIS delayed me.
Their service was fast, professional, and efficient. If you’re considering ECCTIS, don’t hesitate, just follow their instructions, and you’ll get results much quicker than you might expect. Highly recommended!

Requirements for Early Years Statement are really unclear and out of this world. To ask for full curriculum for every subject that happened multiple years ago just to compare the qualification to English rules? There is no way any university will keep this in archive or provide it in English, yet it is required for the EYS. Even the self-certification form is ridiculous. Universities recognized all over the world, but their teachings and students are not accepted without filling 6 pages of very detailed information about specific person. And when asked to clarify I only got exactly the same copy-paste answer as before. Service is free of charge, but the amount of the money spent on the translations is crazy.

Got my second round back. It took almost exactly 15 working days.
I did not see all these areas where it breaks down exactly what you get and that you can only get the check box for maths and English if you submit a school level diploma versus a higher education one. I even looked around their website to be sure and didn’t see this information. So now I’m out £106.
What irritates me is their abhorrent customer service and relations. They spent so much effort fighting me and justifying themselves when they could have just given me a discount or offered to help or sent me the new paper with the high school breakdown free of charge. But no, they spent a whole lot of time trying to justify how I was in the wrong and that they didn’t feed me misinformation about having to pay twice originally for the two degrees and so on (which they did and backed away from when I highlighted it).
Never again. Stay away!

I've submitted everything they asked for but they keep delaying and rejecting my application. I really don't see the point in this service, the letter from my university says my degree was 100% in English, so what do Ecctis actually do if it's you who has to get all the paperwork?? Better to spend this money on an English exam.

Like a previous reviewer, I am also attempting to transfer a New Zealand early childhood teaching degree to UK EYFS L3. Despite holding a university degree in early childhood teaching and being a registered teacher in this sector, I will never be able to map their criteria to my studies as I cannot get my course provider to complete ECCTIS's 18-pages of self-certification qualification comparison.

In my case, my university teaching faculty haven't been able to complete the ECCTIS form because lecturers really do not have the time to do the very extensive mapping between topics and assessments throughout my degree which was completed over 4 years ago! Are they really expected to retrospectively provide such details as ECCTIS asks for? That's just not feasible for many busy universities. And goodness help any senior, experienced early childhood teachers who completed their studies years ago! What to do then? ECCTIS offers no advice on exemptions!

Early childhood teachers in New Zealand (and some other countries) are taught to rigorous academic and practical standards - which is why we are qualified Teachers at the end of our studies - and have Qualified Teacher Status. The fact we still cannot meet ECCTIS requirements at EYFS L3 is such a shame and ultimately a loss to the UK early years industry we want to work in. Why is it harder to transfer our teaching to an Early Years L3 qualification than it would be to transfer primary or secondary teaching qualifications? I could simply apply for automatic QTS as a primary teacher in the UK, yet I cannot get through the ECCTIS gatekeepers for the EYFS L3.

It seems ECCTIS does not understand the standards to which certain countries are early childhood educated and qualified. If they did, there would be a set of qualifications open for automatic transfer, such as the New Zealand Bachelors of Teaching (ECE), Graduate Diplomas of Teaching (ECE), Masters in Teaching (ECE). This happens in other sectors, such as for primary and secondary teachers, across many qualifying countries.

Overall, I think it's a real shame so many of us early childhood teachers will NEVER be able to prove our qualifications in a way that matches ECCTIS requirements, for reasons that 100% do not relate to course content or quality of education!

We are therefore shut out of a career in the UK in a sector that needs staff - especially highly educated and deeply knowledgeable, experienced early childhood teachers.

I'm in the process of having my New Zealand degree in early years assessed. They met it at 27%. I have asked for a remapping but would love to know if anyone has received a compatability from any country. I ask this as they need 100% match to the i criteria. One being something like 'working and aware of Ofsted'. Do they take onto account overseas auditors? I have asked them several times for their policy snd process snd just get the response - "have you provided everything? If so - tell us and we will remap." I have pointed out that I don't know if I have provided everything as they are not transparent in telling me what everything is.

If you don't need the comparison - save your money and go out for a very very nice dinner. 310 pounds and I have done the job for them in showing how I meet the criteria.

The horrible experience after 3 months waiting for them to give me the validation of level 4 early childhood education, they made me give them a lot of documentation, on the page it appears that you only have to present your degree, your grades and your identification, that is completely false, they made me make a report with questions, where my associated center where I had completed my studies had to sign it, I had to travel to another country to have it signed, they also wanted the boe translated into English has not been enough for them with the EUROPASS diploma supplement, which is international, and a lot of other documents, so that they will not even bother to read, because they have only found 20 percent of all the items. In the end I took the trouble to underline each item in the bulletin that they requested and I found more than 70 percent, I am super upset, they have made me waste money and time and the worst thing is that after underline and find the items. They haven't even corrected it, nor do they respond to my messages...

The assessment process of my qualifications were smooth and clear. I got periodical updates on the progress of my request and the responses from the team if there is any additional information needed was clear and precise.

It was such a seamless experience. Nice work and would definitely recommend it.
