An easy way to do some good and get great service
I switched because I love the ethos of this company. Switching was incredibly easy, and my signal has improved hugely (was previously with Giffgaff who use a different network).
The web portal is incredibly basic and a bit dated, but that doesn't bother me - the service is all that matters, and the less they put into that, the more profit they have for the environment. Really pleased so far.

I ordered a Ecotalk Sim over the phone. It arrived promptly. Due to circumstances that are too long to go into I had a problem. I´m lucky enough to live in Stroud so I called in and the problem was sorted within minutes without any fuss. I'm expecting the rest of my experience to be the same!

Excellent customer support
I was experiencing great difficulty with my new phone abroad, having moved from Apple to Fairphone on an android system. I did this because the Fairphone is more sustainable and environmentally aware, just like Ecotalk. But the tech is all new to me and I'm not very fast on digital solutions.
The team was patient and guided me through unravelling various settings, both by email and directly over the phone. It took time but we finally got there! After the first few days, my phone worked fine. Great personal service.

Making money from a sector that actively destroys the environment is a bit of a conflicting story.
However, my main issue is the same as everybody else getting cut off permanently if you nearly breach your fair usage, limit of 500 GB on an unlimited plan. On top of this with all the other lost features you don’t have like no phone management no roaming no outside phone Sim support as long as you’re willing to go for a 24 month contract. It’s actually cheaper to go with EE direct save yourself a hassle and just go with EE direct as I can’t complain at all with the network coverage.

After the changeover
After the changeover, I had no service. I was assured that all was well their end. I was guided through settings on my phone. I didn’t realise that I had to delete my old provider in SIMS. Very helpful and patient.

So happy I made the switch!
Having been with my old provider for as long as I can remember, I was a bit nervous about changing to a new provider and what it would involve. I made several phone calls to the Ecotalk team to ask various questions beforehand, and every person I spoke to was absolutely lovely! So helpful and really friendly. The switch was straightforward with no problems at all. I’ve been with Ecotalk for about 6 months now and am really happy with it. I love that my money is going towards helping nature and I love the progress updates they provide 🤗🌳

I made the move for ethical reasons but was able to halve my phone bill. Transition to the new SIM and transfer of my phone number was very quick and seamless. I’ve shared your link with friends, family and colleagues. If every person does one more thing to protect our environment, collectively we can be a force for nature.
