I have bought a lot from ELF over the years, but have noticed that lately the powders keep cracking for no reason (I can’t be knocking them as I keep them on my dressing table). I emailed ELF about this to ge met with a very unsympathetic response saying basically tough luck… not great!!

I'm a bit surprised about the amount of negative reviews, I guess people seem to have issues with the website and customer service but I've had positive experiences (in the UK) so far.
I've made about 4 purchases, all of which I'm pleased with, particularly because I care about products being cruelty free and vegan, which elf cosmetics are!
The latest order I placed did leave one thing out, but I emailed them asking to send me the missing item and they replied to me within a couple hours (at 9pm, even though it's outside business hours!) saying they were going to ship it out asap. The delivery usually only takes a week max, but again probably because I'm in the UK.
I like their points system and I've managed to save a considerable amount of money thanks to it personally.
So overall, I quite like elf cosmetics, the website, the points and the orders have all been fine for me so far. :)

I love their products but I wouldn't recommend ordering online. I had points to use up so thought I would get off there rather than a shop as I do usually. Customer service is not good and after 8 days in the UK my package had gone AWOL with Yodel (dodgy company if you ask me) I doubt I'll get my package or refund at this rate. So disappointed!!

Do NOT order from their website. Spent over 150$ a MONTH ago and still haven't received my products (I'm currently in Germany and they shipped from the UK so there is absolutely no reason for why it's taken this long). Ive messaged and emailed them multiple times just to be told to keep waiting another 3-5 business days. Ridiculous.

Love their products but customer service is appalling. They do not allow you to cancel an order, or change shipping addresses (even moments after an order went through with a wrong address!) they take days to get back to you and tell you that its already with the shipper (usually FedEx) who doesn't actually have the parcel yet...so what am I supposed to do?

If I buy their products in the future, they'll be from a brick-and-mortar store.

Recently ordered some things on elfcosmetics.co.uk but the package never arrived. I emailed their customer service team and they said do I want a refund or a replacement, I said I want a refund since one of the products I bought was sold out. They said OK. However, its been 2 weeks now and no refund has been given, I asked them why and received no reply. I then said if you don't want to refund me then send a replacement when your product is back in stock and I saw that it was. I received no reply. I've been emailing at least 6 times now and I've been completely ignored. They won't refund me or send a replacement. It's a shame because I really like their products but they won't deliver it or refund me or replace it so will not be ordering with them again.

some of the products are good although they seem to discontinue the best ones. the problem is the shipping! it’s terrible even if you pay for shipping. if you pay for shipping in hope that your product will come in a normal amount of time it probably still won’t arrive in a timely manner. for years their shipping was fine. the last 3 years i have ordered one order a year to test out the shipping and nope. i get a text saying it’s coming in 3 days and instead two weeks later it shows up. customer service is the worst but probably since people are fed up. i emailed them and they sent me an email of someone else’s order that was delivered. that person lived in NJ. i live in southern california.

The makeup isn’t that great. The Camo powder shade of tan was actually orange. For the price, this might be okay for young teenagers just starting to use makeup. If you are a little older or with skin issues this might not be for you. However, the brush set was excellent for the price. The shipment came in a timely manner and was packaged VERY well.

I don’t normally write reviews however, I truly love E.L.F products. The quality is amazing! The packaging is beautiful not only that, they do free deliveries if you are a member regardless of how much you spend. They also do 20% off for students which I find amazing! You get free gifts when you spend over £25 and can unlock free gifts with points. The customer service is amazing too, one of my items came slightly broken, I contacted E.L.F and they gave me a new one for free it came very quickly too! I’ve bought from many makeup brands but I continuously purchase from elf.

Another successful order. I have left a review below no long ago. I have reordered something from elf again and everything went smoothy. Never had any problems thank you.

I signed up for their emails, but have since lost my interest in their products. I have all of the options on their actual site deselected and opted to not receive emails, they continue to send them. I emailed them directly and asked them to stop emailing me, they told me to send an email to a specific email address to unsubscribe. I've emailed them 3 times at that address and I still continue to get promotional emails.

After seeing the negative reviews, i was a bit scared of ordering. However, i thought i should take the risk. The orders take longer to arrive, mine did 1 week but the website shows transparency and informs customers on the delay. This has been the first time i have ordered from the company and my items arrived in excellent package and non damaged. The items are very well packed and they are a good value for money. Will br ordering again. Thank you Elf

Awful service and delivery. I was much better off just going to target to pick my items up.

Lady via ELF told me last week, "Your package will be there today or tomorrow"....

Still nothing. Never again.

I decided to purchase directly from the Elf website after not having any of their products for a number of months. I placed my order and found out the hard way that they use FedEx shipping. Since my order shipping method was FedEx Smartpost, I was more relieved because I've never had issues with USPS.

However, once my package landed in Maryland, it went to a FedEx location (Sparrows Point) that I've had countless problems with for over 2 years. They switched the shipping method from Smartpost to FedEx Ground and at 9:26am this morning, claimed they left my package at my front door. Which was not true. I walked out of my house and checked every neighbor's front door in the area and still didn't see my package. When I contacted FedEx, I was told because it was Smartpost, I needed to contact the shipper.

The first time I called Elf, the rep told me I'd had to wait 2 days just in case my package wasn't fully delivered. Didn't ask for my name, order number, nothing. When I called back, I realized it was the same rep from before. When I asked, "Did I speak to you before?" That's when she finally asked for my name and order number. I told her that it WAS delivered but it was delivered to someone else, she said she'd start the refund process. Only up until the end of the call did she reveal that she was the same rep from earlier. Before I could thank her, she hung up on me. Something I didn't understand because not only was I transparent about my feelings towards FedEx when she asked if I wanted a reshipment but I also hadn't been rude to her either time we spoke.

As others have said, it's best to purchase Elf products from other sources instead of Elf themselves. Save yourself the trouble and a morning of frustration while calling customer service.

i recently bought an eyelash curler from walmart. when i used it it simply pulled every single one of my eyelashes out of my eye. i am very upset about this.

ELF was great for a lot of things, except the BEST PRODUCT YOU HAD which is now discontinued! The Hydrating Water Essence w/Aloe. Baffled.

The shipping is just awful. You get anocuos responses from customer service. They have no idea where my packages are. Fedex doesn't know and 6 weeks later I want a full refund. I got told to wait...never again will 8 order

It appears that we all feel the same way about E.L.F., the products are great, but their customer service and shipping is horrible. I am actually surprised at how horrible their customer service is and I am still waiting on items. It’s better not to order directly from them, which is horrible. How is this okay? No one in management cares?
