Managed to get me to my chosen garage safely and with friendly and helpful service would definitely use again if i ever have a break down again

Absolute scam of a company - Very Very Very misleading policy sold to me.

Took out premium policy to cover 5 taxis - ensured I took out national recovery for a taxi company as we can be anywhere.

However - after breaking down yesterday afternoon 51 miles from home, they told me National recovery means they respond national and they don’t take anyone more than a local garage, at 16:00 on a Saturday afternoon!

They when I reminded them about the clause in the terms and conditions about onward travel, again they only means if you breakdown local to your home address, and it’s down to them as they have the discretion, so they refused my entitlement.

I pre paid for the whole year for 5 cars and now that money is utterly wasted - all they did was text me numbers for local recovery companies.

This isn’t the first issue I had with them - phoned them around 7pm on a Sunday in my town, needed a car taken 2 miles to my garage as a clutch went, told me they couldn’t find anyone and I should phone local companies myself or use a tow rope.

Customer service as rude, and entitlement and zero compassion.

I shall be seeking legal advice with a hope to sue the hell out of them, for miss sold polices, undue pressure and stress and additional financial burden.

Great value for money only only ever had to use them once and they were there within 40 minutes unlike one of the other much larger Breakdown companies that use orange vans who wants left or stranded for over 10 hours and cost substantially more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

I've been trying to sort out a claim for months and they keep coming up with excuses not to pay. Every time I call the agents put the phone down on me using the excuse they can't hear me. When I do get through the agents attitude is appealing.

This is the worst company I've come across. AVOID

Terrible, ive been getting this service for years and had no problems before.
However I rang them whilst on hol to uk as I noticed my fan belt was all frayed!!! We had 2 days left of hol and I was worried sick as we had our 7yr granddaughter with us. I asked if they would relay us home n he said no!! That i didnt have that cover!! I had 'premium' cover. He repeatedly said he couldnt understand the word 'frayed' ???? His attitude stank, he said we would have to 1st see if we could get it replaced. It was sat!!!! So we decided to crawl home nxt day, putting a black mark on our last days of hol!!! When I got home I checked my policy and did have uk relay & home start. I havent rung them as I couldnt face talking to anyone as I was so upset!!!!

Excellent service price was fantastic save loads easy to understand easy everything was easy none of crap other breakdown services give you one price ... does not cost a fortune..cheap as chips will definitely recommend them to anyone

It’s very misleading when you’re purchasing on the website. Nowhere does it mention that it’s only local recovery for a flat tyre or anything else for that matter. It says National Recovery. There shouldn’t be exceptions in their terms and conditions. These should be highly visible before you purchase.

We only found out when we broke down with a flat tyre on the side of the motorway. Very hard to have a conversation with them and then they say our cover is only for local recovery to a garage. What use is that on a Sunday afternoon when most places will be shut and miles from home? We ended up having to get a mobile tyre fitter out to us on the motorway. A tyre that would normally cost £100 fitted cost us £350. Not impressed with Emergency Assist at all.

I agree with another reviewer this company needs to be investigated by the ombudsman.

Edit: Emergency Assist are very quick to reply on Trustpilot(see below) However it is all show and they are not replying to my email sent to the address they posted below.

Edit 2: still waiting for a reply from their email address below. Seems it’s just a standard meaningless reply for show on here!

The phone kept on going off and could hardly hear them

The National recovery company, Browndown I 9think, was with me within the hour to 90 minutes slot. He located the problem and another I hadn't noticed, before the car was delivered to the garage, reducing my anxiety level.

Very professional service. Pleasant, informative gentleman .

Very misleading information on taking cover out online. ie saying you are covered for national recovery, whilst they only recover you to nearest garage. Also took over 30 minutes to answer my call when I wanted to cancel. Was then charged £10 cancellation fee even though within the 14 day cooling off period. This company needs to be investigated by the ombudsman.

Very reasonable price and quick easy sign up

Found it easy to set up a suitable breakdown policy. Very competitive price. Hopefully the service will not be required but if it should be I trust it will be quick & effective.

Followed the instruction on there website everything went swimmingly!!!!!
