Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling.

My auto-top up kept failing on the Friday and Saturday. I tried changing payment cards but the same happened. So on Sunday I contacted support via live chat. They guy said they had problems their end and it would be fixed within a few hours. And a few hours later, on Sunday, they took my payment. But on Wednesday my account still hadn't been credited. So I wasted over an hour on live chat again, and sent proof Epic had taken funds.

The girl (who seemed clueless and more than a little out of her depth) just said they had a technical ticket on it and there was nothing they could do. I tried calling support but couldn't get through. Then I get a text saying they are hoping to have it resolved by the 11th!! They took the money on the 3rd!!!

So, imagine, you're out and about and need to access the internet to confirm something like a security check - tough, you can't. You're with Epic, who will take money but can't credit it.

Seriously, the worst customer service ever. Just very glad I didn't upgrade my plan and sign up to a monthly contract like I was actually considering. Small miracles.

Well, it convinced me to switch phone company. Epic just lost out an order for a new iPhone or Samsung, and a decent tier plan.

Extremely poor handling of contract cancellation

TL;DR:
Tried to cancel postpaid contract as instructed, followed all steps, but Epic failed to process it. I had to chase them for days, got charged extra, and only then received the required form via WhatsApp. Filed a complaint with MCCAA. Avoid if you value time or clarity.



I requested to switch from postpaid to prepaid one week before my contract ended, exactly as instructed by Epic’s own support team. I clearly informed them that I was abroad and could not be reached by phone. They confirmed my request was received — but nothing was done.

I was later told the cancellation wasn’t processed because I didn’t answer their calls (despite being abroad and having explained this). No one told me a signed form was needed, and they never emailed it to me. I had to follow up several times — only then did they send the form via WhatsApp, days later.

Then they invoiced me again for the following month, as if the cancellation never happened.

This is not how a professional company should treat its customers. Poor communication, no accountability, and a system that punishes customers for internal mismanagement.

I’ve submitted a complaint to the MCCAA and do not recommend this provider to anyone looking for reliable service.

The worst service ever they are not…

The worst service ever they are not updating the payments what you are doing. And you are paying 6 e penalties on the payed bill just becouse their sistem is disaster after the mounts of fighting with them they made me change the operator. To do the this they made me pay the payed bills again. 2 weeks after I change the operator I am receiving the mails from them with a billing when my balance now is in minus what is proving my point that I double payed the bils on the and and plus evry mount 6 e penalty... never again I did not recommend to any of you to use their services

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. Epic is hands down the most customer-unfriendly company I’ve ever dealt with. I recently moved my home internet and was slapped with an outrageous €90 fee for the service. Just two days later, they sent out an email saying they’re no longer charging this fee for their “lucky” customers. So, I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and call to ask if they’d waive the charge, seeing as I haven’t paid the bill yet. But no, they flat-out refused and showed zero decency or willingness to help. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers at all. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Epic, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Avoid this terrible company at all costs!

You can't end your subscription

I tried to change my subscription to credit for 2 months. This eas not possible to do in the epic app which is ridiculous.

I emailed them and i had to go to an epic outlet. I was outside malta so i couldn't do that. I had to fill in a form. i did that and they took 2 months and right now it is still not changed. So i am still paying for my epic subscription while I am not even using it

Worst operator in Malta (Fraudsters)

Worst operator in Malta. I topped up 10 EUR balance, and my credit suddenly disappeared. I contacted the support and as usual they never can help.

They said "Number is not registered". How convenient they are, not registered for helping me, but registered for topping up.

What a fraud!

Service

I want to change my cell phone and paid my last bill today, October 1. I visited a store in Sliema with no options and received poor service. In Birkirkara, I was told I had only four months of paid bills, which was also frustrating. An online chat confirmed I could exchange my phone, and the representative was helpful, locating a store in Valletta with a Samsung 24 Ultra for an upfront payment of 270 and a monthly fee of 29.99. However, when I arrived, the attendant initially said I couldn't exchange it without showing a screenshot of my conversation. Once I did, the upfront option wasn't available, despite the online agent's confirmation. The store manager wouldn’t honor it, even with proof. I’m fed up with this treatment and have all the screenshots; I plan to pursue my rights.
Third world countries do not have service as good as the epic one. Maybe it's a requirement to work at this company, you have to be terrible.

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. They block your SIM card as soon you exit EU, and you cannot even receive missed call notifications or SMS, you need to have money on account (Any other SIM provider let you to receive missed call or sms while roaming, and Epic asks you to put money to activate their "Traveller" Plan).
This problem occurs with everyone who uses them, i cancelled pospaid plan because of that, when i was receiveing even missed calls, they were taking money from my account. Good luck with that service.

Poor service and contiuous bills after cancellation.

I had to cancel their sim connection ,for that i contacted their customer care and visited their outlet.Their staff told ,he did all process for cancellation.But every month gets bills by mail.I again contacted them ,they told my cancellation process was not completed and i did not signed their request form.And requested to pay bills,that comes after concallation.

I feel company appointed incompetant staffs or intentionally gives bills even after cancellation process .
My suggestion is customer should request a copy of cancellation form .otherwise ,epic generate further bills and demand to pay ,even after cancellation of connection..

Full of scam!!

Full of scam!!! This company made me pay bills ridiculously when i was supposed to pay 5 euro a month but i ended up paying over 300 euros 😱 and they always have an excuse to make you pay otherwise the bill's will be added up with extra payments.

Avoid this company at alll costs its a big BUL***it.

I will change to another company for sureee

Stay away from this company at all cost.

They will trap you. Do not use this service provider. They provide good offer at beginning, then they will call you (again and again) to change (and trap you) on the expensive contract. Dont take the contract at all. They will rob you and make you pay for penalty (up to 65€ in my case) in termination. They can help to switch plan but it takes DAYS. Shame. Super slow process and they make you suffer longer. CUSTOMER SERVICE can’t help you with anything. Horrible. Stay away!
