FAKE database, fraud company
We purchased a database of contractors in specific 5 States. WE'VE CONDUCTED OVER 7 EMAIL CAMPAIGNS. In each campaign we have recieved the same results:
1) 10-15% of hard bounces and duplicating contacts - NON-EXISTING CONTACTS
2) 8-12% of the clickers ARE ALWAYS from another countries (Germany, Finland, UK etc),
3) 60-75% of USA clickers ARE from the States that we did NOT purchase at all and actually from specific Cities (Washington State, Iowa - Des Moines, Wyoming - Cheyenne etc) - EVERY CAMPAIGN the RESULT ARE THE SAME!
In total - OVER 85% of the database is NON-EXISTING email OR from locations we did NOT purchase!!!
Amazing is that we wrote many emails to the seller (Exact Data) - NO RESULTS at all, just ignoring(( AND finally after almost a month of emails and calls another company's manager (the name of that company is Data Axle and these companies are somehow interrelated) called back and offered to investigate and replace the data. He did it, AND.... THE RESULT IS THE SAME!!! EXACTLY THE SAME!
NOW this manager is also ignoring us! These 2 companies are FAKE, please save your money and time - DO NOT BUY from these companies!
PS. They have on the website a little mark in the lower right corner stating that they have 990 Google reviews with average rating 4.6 - it is FAKE too)) you won't find these reviews anywhere on Google) ANYWHERE!

Jason is very knowledgeable, articulate, and personable. He has a great attitude, and I think he is a great asset to your company. I don't have the liquid funds to sink into this list just yet, as I'm still very much in the research phase of the process. But Jason still went above and beyond to be as helpful as possible. And that, my friends, is a definining characteristic of a great SDR. Give this man a raise.

We ordered a mailing list for zip codes 79830 and 79831. It was to be Residential, one per household. The price would be $450. We were charged more because when the list was run there were more names. When the list was received, we found there was more than one name per household listed. When I called their representative to report this error the representative said it would be corrected and a new list would be sent to us. It did not happen and communication stopped between our company and your company. We spent hours correcting the list before we could use it. There were sometimes as many as 5 names to one address. In researching the tax office recorded, prior owners names were included in the list many who no longer live here. After making all the corrections we can up with 2,193 names to mail our letter to this time. There were also a few deceased people. We will not be using your company again.

Not having used purchased lists before
Not having used purchased lists before, I was unaware of the problems we would encounter when trying to use them. It is a really costly way to obtain email addresses that you may or may not be able to use. My recommendation is that you do research for how to use purchased lists before purchasing one.

It was easy enough to get the data but when I started to really look at the data over 65% of the data came from contacts that all had the same company address and only a few were foresters, which was the target of my mailer. I did not bother to use those contacts because we have companies that send us mailers like that and they never make it into the building. In fact, I get about 100 land magazines a quarter to my agents that are all spread out across the Southeast and I just have those taken out to a dumpster.

Had over 10% bounce rate on what was supposedly a cleaned list. Edit: I realize all lists have issues, and customer service and sales support with Exact Data has been excellent. I'd probably use them again but realize you're paying for a significant percentage of bad emails.
