Extern.com Reviews

What made my experience great is having the access to real world projects to help bolster my resume. I it is an opportunity that everybody college student should take advantage of!

It was really great experience and I learned a lot with the HP Tech Ventures externship!

Where do I begin? I came to Extern as a talker. I’m a doctoral candidate who learned all of the frameworks and theories and concepts- and no practical skills. I can to learn skills that would help me in my search for a career, but also to help me build an organization in the future. You wouldn’t believe what I’ve created and built since joining Extern. I’ve recommended to every student and young adult I’ve met since. If you’re struggling to figure out if you want to go to college? Come to Extern. If you’re a college student struggling to figure out your pathway? Come to Extern. If your a professional looking to up-skill and build a real, no non-sense portfolio? Come to Extern. You won’t regret it.

Extern was an astonishing discovery to me as I was battling between what it truly was that I wanted to do in the near future. I have learned so much in the past months that I am, even after completing my certification, still using!

I had a great experience with Extern. What stood out was the way TruBridge interacted with the those in the Externship. They gave thoughtful reviews of projects and answered so many questions along the way.

In every module, you are given clear instructions on how to complete the task. So, you can easily follow them and learn a lot from them as well. This will definitely be a great learning experience!

My experience was valuable because it gave me lessons I will use in my job hunt and future career. I learned and experienced how the professionals at the Mental Health Institute solve their problems, and really how they work. It gave me a lesson in professionalism.

Extern has been an experience I was pleasantly surprised with. I was not expecting how personal and accessible the team was. Everything was provided to give the extern a clear timeline; the meetings provided clarity and made it realistic; and support was given throughout the program. I will continue to utilize Extern to expand my skills, and I am very grateful for the opportunities to network and grow.

If you want a real professional experience and a worldwide network choose Extern!

I did a data analysis course and I found it very good, really well organized in terms of progression and the tips they gave were great! Definitely recommend!

The provided code and templates they provide as you move through each stage of the projects were really helpful.

Real-world experience that actually builds your portfolio
As a recent graduate looking to break into people analytics and operations strategy, Extern gave me exactly what I needed, a structured, hands-on project tied to a real company challenge.
Over 6 projects, I worked on a genuine workforce problem for Amazon Fulfillment Centers, using Python to analyse employee data, applying root cause analysis (5 Whys), and presenting recommendations in a consultant-style pitch deck. It wasn't busywork, it was the kind of experience you can actually talk about in interviews.
What Extern does well is bridge the gap between "no experience" and "relevant experience." The program is self-paced but purposeful, and the deliverables are portfolio-ready from day one. For any graduate struggling to get their first role, this is one of the most practical ways to build credibility fast.
Would recommend to any student or recent grad who wants something concrete on their CV, not just another certificate.

I really liked using external because it gave me the experience i need to put on my portfolio since i am finished with school

It's is great way to gain experience and fill in you resume for internships

There were live meetings with instructors and peers in your project group, a dedicated program chatbot, and a Slack channel to reach out for help with questions! The projects are meaningful and a good value for money.

Extern gave me hands-on experience in healthcare analytics, process design and strategy consulting. I completed two externships in the healthcare sector (Trubridge & Institute of Mental Health). These experiences boosted my confidence and skills. I highly recommend Extern for gaining professional experience anytime, anywhere.

Extern really helped me expand my understanding of brand strategy and how it relates to social media. My mentors Song, Tara, Lex Niko were all wonderful in helping us get a real understanding of how these strategies work in the industry.

I had an excellent experience with the Wayfair Externship through Extern. The program offered hands-on learning opportunities, where I built AI agents using n8n and Gemini. The team was supportive and provided clear guidance, helping me grow my skills and confidence.

What made the experience great was the meaningful work and exposure to advanced AI tools, which gave me practical, real-world experience.

I would recommend any externship through Extern to anyone looking to deepen their understanding of real-world workflows, tools, and professional skills.

Extern provides basically everything you need if you're trying to gain real, tangible experience into the tech industry. There's a lot of information out there, but it could feel extremely overwhelming because you don't know where to start.

Extern provides in depth real-project learning into data analysis, UX/UI, AI, and more. I did a bootcamp, paid for webinars, but extern was definitely a pivotal stepping stone to break into the marketing world. Through this experience I was able to get a marketing fellowship and my current position as a programmatic analyst. They are on top of the fast past changing landscape, and sincerely try to provide for their students as much as they can. Extern cares.

Extern understands that the job market is incredibly difficult, and they definitely try to close the gap through how they structured their curriculums, offering webinars/seminars, newsletters, etc. The fact that this subscription is only $10 a month is in fact so worth it. I always recommend it to all my peers who are trying to pivot to different career, or even strangers who reach out to me in LinkedIn for advice.

Extern does a great job of providing real and hands-on experiences to everyone who wants to either test-drive career paths or develop a skillset. I found the modules and collaboration with the leaders of a host company particularly helpful. In addition, they also host events like career webinars, resume mocks, and etc. I look forward to doing more externships! Solid platform I'd say!
