I cannot praise John Birchell of Fenn Wright highly enough. After days of phoning different surveyors about a major valuation issue, John was the first person to give clear, detailed, and honest advice straight away. He was patient, kind, and genuinely interested in helping — and his guidance has relieved me of so much stress and saved me £1000's. It’s rare these days to find someone who offers expert advice without trying to upsell or overcharge. John is a true credit to chartered surveyors, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone needing trustworthy property advice.

Georgia at Fenn Wright Witham was absolutely invaluable throughout the whole process of our long and difficult property sale, she went above and beyond what was expected from her and we can confidently say we wouldn't have managed without her help. Highly recommended

I recently bought a property through Fenn Wright, and I’m very happy with the service I received. I was a buyer, and Kirsty kept me updated every week without fail, which made the whole process feel much smoother and far less stressful.

In a previous sale of mine (with a different agent), the sales progresser only spoke to us twice before the chain collapsed, so I really understand how important consistent communication is. Kirsty’s regular updates made a huge difference, and I truly appreciated her professionalism and support throughout.

I have recently sold my home and purchased a property using Fenn Wright of Stanway

I was very impressed with everyone in the office from Paul who valued my property through to Sarah and Adam and finally Clarke who dealt with completion day.

However, the jewel in the crown was Kirsty who has a wealth of experience and certainly puts it to good use

She told me she would support me throughout and indeed she did through the highs and lows inevitably encountered when selling and purchasing property

She really does go over and above the call of duty even contacting me on completion day from her holiday abroad

Great friendly team. From the initial valuation with Paul, viewings with Amy and selling process with Kirsty, no complaints ay all. Kirsty needs a special mention as without her I’m not sure it would have ever got over line. !

I’d strongly recommend using Fenn Wright. Not only did I sell two houses with them, but I also bought another through them. I found them to be excellent at communicating when it came to the multiple viewings of our properties, and very good at working out what type of property I wanted to view. The best part of the service they offered was the weekly communication from Kirsty regarding the progress of the sales and purchase. Far outreaching the customer service of my solicitor. This excellent customer service kept me sane. Thank you, Kirsty!

Kirsty did a brilliant job in getting the sale over the line to meet our preferred completion date and keeping us in the picture throughout the sale process.

Companies are only as good as their people and Kirsty really stood out, giving us scheduled updates and extra calls if certain events happened. She also gave us advice and suggestions that were really helpful. Our experience showed that all the negative comments heard about estate agents are not always true!

I spoke to most people on the team and felt they knew who i was and the stage of my sale I felt the company is honest and cares about their clients. I felt that I was communicated with in a timely fashion and my frustrations were understood. The feedback I received at the valuation of my house respected my feelings on parting with it. It was tough going at times but it is recognised as the most stressful thing you can do. And it is Thank you Fenn Wright

Professional supportive service. All went smoothly from offer accepted to completion. We were kept updated throughout and any questions were quickly answered.

To begin with we were disappointed that we had so few interested parties and felt that maybe more could have been done to promote the property.

However, once we had sold, Kirsty and her team could not have been more helpful. We were kept informed of progress on at least a weekly basis. Unfortunately our vendors pulled out at Exchange and Kirsty personally did everything she could to keep our buyers .
We found a different property and were fully supported all the way until completion.

We finally moved on October 31st and thank everyone concerned who helped us through our stressful experience.

I have recently purchased a property through this outfit, something I will never repeat again following this experience!

For some further clarity, I also own a national property company selling hundreds of houses a months and dealing with estate agents across the whole country, hence I feel strongly enough to write this review.

Prior to exchange we stumbled across mis-descriptions within their listings online. They have clearly stated ‘space for’ items that are going and not for items that are staying, makes complete sense yes…..well no!! That doesn’t seem to follow suit with Fenn wright listings so we are advised. They have clearly listed an item in their description outside including kennels and overground pool, the kennels aren’t going but apparently the over ground pool is, who would ever know that from the description which states exactly; “ The main garden is found between the cottage and annexe with lawns and pathways enclosed by post and rail fencing. There is an overground swimming pool and a kennel building”

It’s clearly property mis descriptions with the agent not having a leg to stand on. I now have an upset child to add to the woes of this appalling purchase process.

This coupled with a sales progressor in K****y who was super keen on aborting the sale at every turn, I was asked 5 or 6 times during the process if I wanted to pull out of the sale, with her abrupt and rude attitude throughout. There were occasions where the sales progressor was not in and different information was advised that may or may not have been correct. The sales progress or also not in as many words laid claim on colleagues for this mis informed updates. All in all it was a shambles and took forever. Fenn wright had no care for me as a purchaser along the journey which was extremely disappointing and worrying at times.

I have now raised a formal complaint and will look to escalate this to the property ombudsman for a satisfactory outcome.

Just to top this off, my wife collected the keys today from the Stanway office and was treated so poorly she left upset from the shear rudeness of the staff that handed (threw) the keys over. Beyond rude!!!

Poor show Fenn Wright, poor show!

From the start, Paul valued our home and gave realistic expectations, Sarah then arranged viewings, which were quickly successful.
We then found a property which happened to also be for sale with FW, so it was incredibly easy to deal with both a sale and purchase - the purchase process was dealt with by Adam, who was a really friendly guy, with excellent service - when it came to the final stages of negotiation for purchase, in stepped Kirsty - who literally got the deal done rapidly, and was in constant contact throughout the process, weekly, or often more updates throughout the sale and purchase, communication an absolute strong point, and it helps that she was a lovely person to talk to also.
When we viewed the property we purchased, the lady was absolutely great, very friendly and let us view in our time, no pressure, no rushing.
All in all, we are so glad we chose Fenn Wright, it's no surprise we see their sold boards up around Colchester! They are simply fantastic!

My review is for Fenn wright and a specific land lord.

After 5 years on a flat, crayon marks, 4 nails , 2 lightbulb and 10cm of silicon bathroom mould ended in a charge for check out of 320£ which went down to 262£ .

Disgusting agency/landlord.

Very professional service with a personal approach and excellent communication throughout the entire process
