the presentation at the beginning was very informative and a great way to start the assessment as it showed us athletes what we are working towards with First Point USA. The technical assessment was great too! even though i was the only girl i did not feel singled out or incapable of doing any of the tasks at hand. i would highly recommend that more girls take part as this is an experience no girl should miss out on

Coaching staff was very nice and very informative and clear on how we should do the drills. The trial was very good as they explained steps and supported you during your mistakes making us understand that it was ok to make mistakes which calmed my nerves down as I was very nervous.

We were first introduced to First Point by a friend who strongly recommended them as the best of the agencies in the UK. From the start we were very impressed by their knowledge and depth of the American soccer system, primarily that the agents had first hand experience of being educated and playing soccer in their early days out there. Our main contact Gary McDonald was professional, personable and knowledgeable throughout our son’s process. As you would imagine there is a lot of paperwork involved in securing an American university soccer scholarship, Gary was able to guide us through this process incredibly well giving in-depth advice which is where his experience shone and made the whole process easier to navigate.

After many offers our son finally accepted a place in South Carolina where he is experiencing the true American university way of life, he is absolutely loving his ‘soccer’ life and equally has made some new, lovely team mates/friends. We put our trust into First Point and they didn’t disappoint, they have been fantastic and continue to be there throughout our son’s University life in America which is comforting to know that the support still continues.

Absolutely avoid this company. We paid them thousands of pounds for a 4 year service they sold us. Once a placement was accepted, we received no support at all, our son has not heard one thing from first point, has moved half way across the world, we had to navigate everything ourselves. We tried for months to resolve this directly with their ‘customer support’ but have got nowhere and they have simply abandoned our son. Save yourself all of this money and disappointment. As a result of having to do this ourselves, have found that you can apply to colleges yourself, you do not need to give this company thousands of pounds for absolutely nothing but afew videos and ‘social media posts’

Jake Williams did a great job of getting the profile together. He was clear in the initial meeting about what he needed from us and put things together quickly and efficiently. He was always on hand for feedback, despite us asking questions and contacting him at some quite unsociable hours! At the initial meeting he told us that we should have his profile completed in around a month, actually it was more like 2 weeks. Jake will chase you for bits that he needs. Be aware that it would be useful to have VEO (or similar) highlights ready. Firstpoint will put them into a reel for you, but you need to have the matches and moments identified first - this can take a LONG time if you have a few matches to go through.

Esto ha supuesto un verdadero reto a la hora de encontrar un High School + Club de Gimnasia que cumpliera con nuestros requisitos y, sobre todo, que ofreciera un muy buen nivel de entrenamiento adecuado para ella ( Level 9/10 USAGYM)

Estuve buscando y contactando con muchas otras agencias, pero desde el primer momento ellos fueron los únicos que realmente supieron escucharnos, entender nuestras necesidades y ponerse manos a la obra para encontrar un lugar que encajara con todo lo que buscábamos.

Para nosotros no era suficiente encontrar simplemente un High School o un club de gimnasia. Necesitábamos que ambas cosas fueran compatibles, tanto por el nivel deportivo de nuestra hija como por el proyecto académico y personal que queríamos para ella. Y encontrar esta combinación no era nada fácil.

Con ellos sentimos desde el principio que nuestro caso era importante y que estaban realmente implicados en encontrar la mejor opción. Su atención, cercanía y disponibilidad durante todo el proceso nos dieron mucha tranquilidad, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que estábamos organizando todo desde España.

Estamos muy agradecidos por el trabajo que han hecho y por haber encontrado una opción que cumple con nuestras necesidades y que permite a nuestra hija seguir creciendo tanto académicamente como deportivamente.

Sin duda, recomendamos su trabajo a cualquier familia que esté buscando una experiencia académica y deportiva en Estados Unidos.

I cannot recommend FirstPoint, and particularly Laura Lewis at FirstPoint highly enough. Laura was our main contact during the entire process.

Laura provided truly outstanding support to my daughter, Delilah, and me throughout the entire process of getting Delilah to Rollins College in Florida as a student-athlete. What initially seemed like a relatively straightforward journey turned out to be far more complicated than we ever anticipated, with numerous requirements and challenges along the way.

Throughout it all, Laura was exceptional. She was always available when we needed guidance, incredibly responsive, patient, knowledgeable and, above all, genuinely committed to helping Delilah succeed. Whenever we encountered a problem or were unsure how to proceed, Laura helped us understand what needed to be done and guided us towards a solution.

What impressed me most was that her support never felt routine or impersonal. Laura clearly cared about the outcome and went above and beyond what we could reasonably have expected. There were several moments during the process when things seemed very difficult, and I genuinely believe that without Laura's help, getting Delilah successfully to Rollins would have been extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Delilah is now at Rollins, and looking back at the entire journey, we are enormously grateful for everything Laura did to help make it happen.

The drills and coaching staff are very good and help push you to your best ability

Good coaching and introduction. However it should be more punctual on time, 12:00 start but started like 12:30.

The experience taught me that staying working hard and not being afraid to show what I can do are really important. It was a great experience because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and motivated me to keep improving as a footballer.

good coaching and in depth into what it would be like if you get a scholarship in the states. very good and demanding coaching to get the best out off players

Amazing part of experiencing first point USA is that the coaches are very caring in a way, where they push us as players harder to achieve our goals for our future this puts me as a player in a position where i trust them so much, to show my potential can get me somewhere with this experience, I believe in them and i believe they believe in me too, wish to see more soon.

The introductory presentation was very clesr and detailed. It laid out a clear foundation for requirements and what a daily lifeatyle would look like. The coaches really pushed us to our limits and progressing really made my day. Would definitely recommend to a friends or anybody wanting to try an athletic and academic path.

The trial was good - well thought through and covered most aspects of rugby - there was no contact. The talk before was detailed and answered all questions, was a bit confusing to find the trial, but in the end it was just around the corner
