Downside is Flogas ignore this and fill up as they see fit meaning unexpected fill ups and unexpected bills. Bit frustrating especially as continues when you think you sorted it with them.
I signed a contract with Flogas in…
I signed a contract with Flogas in October 2022 for my B&B at agreed rates of 38.65c day rate and 27.17c night rate.
A week later, I asked about putting the bills into my company name. I was told I could move to a commercial arrangement, but after an inspection I was advised I would need a larger fuse costing about €1,500, and the ESB Networks representative indicated I likely didn’t need it. I then informed Flogas I was not proceeding with any switch and wanted my original contract left as it was.
After that, I expected normal billing — but no bills arrived.
I repeatedly contacted Flogas for months and was told my account was “being processed.” Then, 10 months later, I received 5 bills of around €4,500 each, and money was automatically taken from my bank account.
When I checked the bills, I found I was being charged about 58c per unit instead of my contracted rates. I was then told I was “out of contract,” which I strongly dispute. My position is that I never agreed to leave my original contract, and I explicitly told them to leave it in place.
Based on my calculations, I was overcharged by €13,775.
I switched supplier, cancelled the direct debit, and disputed a further bill of €4,450 because I believe Flogas owes me money, not the other way around.
I then received a solicitor’s demand for payment. I responded explaining the overcharging and dispute, and I also contacted Flogas directly. Neither has responded.
In my view, this raises serious questions about billing practices, contract handling, and consumer protection. I am sharing this publicly because I believe this needs scrutiny, and because no customer should face legal threats while disputing what they believe is substantial overcharging.

Completely awful company

I am a female who had recently bought a gas barbecue and knew little about gas cylinders but I do now - thanks Jay for helping me with the right cylinder and being patient and carrying to the car !! Thanks again I will be back - incidently it was a friends recommendation in the first place that bought me to Flogas Cambridge - well done !!

Website simple and easy to use, our gas bottle arrived a few days later professionally delivered by a very pleasant driver - Lee Bogan. It's the first time we have used the delivery service as we usually go to a superstore to exchange, but the Flogas ordering and delivery service has been seamless and efficient, we will certainly be using them again.

This company will harass and try to bully anyone that is 4 hours late to make a payment. When told what is happening, they continue with their over zealous behaviour. Avoid at all costs.

Just finished my 2 year LPG contract with Flogas. Most deliveries were great - good communication, arriving on time - but over Christmas and New Year 2023/4 failed to deliver as promised so that my tank eventually ran empty. Email offer to renew contract quoted 47p per litre - contract renewal forms quoted 69ppl. Now have a new supplier. Customer Services sent same message 5 times - it take 7 days for a reply to a query - not brilliant service. Reported my situation to Operations Director, but never received a reply.

First time using Flogas, Alastair the delivery driver was so helpful and polite, & offered to carry the cylinder to my door. An excellent customer experience, and Alastair is a credit to Flogas! Well done. Have a great Christmas Flogas, & Alastair!

The fast delivery of gas, and efficiency of Andy my delivery driver. He is courteous, polite, knowledgeable on the gas, and how the double connectors work. Usually he connects them up safely for me and answers any questions I have regarding my delivery.
