Purchased a ground feeder cage that is supposed to keep squirrels and large birds out, so the small birds can get food. The item is "not fit for purpose", the pigeon sticks his head in and eats all the food, the main reason I paid £14.99 + £2.99 p&p was to stop the pigeons devouring all the bird food leaving nothing for the small birds. I bought this in "extreme good faith" believing that as the description stated it would keep squirrels and large birds like pigeons out so the small birds get a chance. At the moment the only birds to use the feeder are large pigeons. I gave 2 stars because I think the item looks quite well made, of course I don't know how good it will be in the rain and cold weather, delivery was quick. I am a pensioner, I can't afford to waste my money on things that are not fit for purpose, I don't want the added stress of returning items or the extra cost of replacing things that are of no use to me.

My order was well packed so no damages & delivery was straightforward & It arrived very quickly. There was an issue with one item which the customer services dealt with in a timely friendly manner & took it very seriously & kept me informed while they made enquiries to try to resolve it. I was finally given a choice from the outcome, so the service was very good.
At a later date-moving on, I was asked to give reviews to the 4 items of the above order. Not one of them has been shown. My reviews were sympathetic to the item. The fact they never used them after I was asked to give them, tells me all I need to know about this company. Time wasters. Don’t ask again & don’t bother apologising. Your customer service was dealing with a very serious issue with legal implications so maybe that’s why you bothered with it.

I am a regular customer. The quality of the product, service, and most importantly, desirability (especially, it seems, the premium suet balls+insects) are a breath of fresh air. I have also had occasion to speak with Customer Services, who were friendly, unhurried, and clearly love their business and caring for the birds as much as their customers. Befriending and satiating a beautiful great spotted woodpecker and her male offspring has been the highlight of my early summer mornings. Highly recommended and long may the company prosper.

Recently I ordered 150 wildbird energy balls from this company. On receipt it was found 29 of the 150 balls were crushed and broken, this is a 20% loss of content.
I have no doubt most of this damage was caused by DPD and inappropriate handling during transit.
I did not employ DPD and have no recourse to them. However Garden Wildlife Direct did employ them and do have recourse. The result of my request for an exchange of product or 20% refund is a 10% refund with a claim that 10% damage is expected, acceptable and advertised (I could not find this information on their website) it is not transparent. While I could continue to use and feed broken energy balls I cannot use enery balls crushed beyond recognition. The offer of a 10% refund is an insult, and the refund given makes these the most expensive energy balls on the market. By all means continue to use this company, but do not expect to receive what you order, full value or a full refund when you are supplied with damaged goods.
The costs here are small, in total £3.54. But they sold me 150 energy balls and supplied 120 with a lot of crumbs.

Their songbird spring and summer mix has certainly been appreciated by our wide selection of feathered visitors this year and the Brambles Semi-Moist Hedgehog food attracts a least one spiky visitor every night.

Next day delivery was as stated, however, the robin and blackbird mix I ordered was not really suitable for robins or blackbirds. Mainly wheat and maize with a smattering of Suet. The picture showed a very different product. The robins and blackbirds will eat the suet but not the wheat

I purchased and paid for nematode treatment for my garden and allotment.

Delivery of the product took far too long. I had to purchase something else in the interim to treat my plants, costing me extra.
