Stealing from refunds & not refunding right amounts

I’ve had numerous refunds I’ve sent back not be refunded correctly. There always seems to be an item missing from my refund or refunding different items on my order that I haven’t sent back. I’ve heard this happen to other people, they’re basically stealing & profiting from refunds

Waste of time

I ordered some school shorts for my children as it has been so hot. Selected the date for collection, drove accross the city to collect my order only to be told it hadn't arrived and wouldn't be there that day. So was not very pleased. Purchased the shorts instore whilst I was there so contacted Asda customer service who apologised and 'issued the refund' .......the refund never materialised a bit like the shorts. I was sent an e voucher which was a nice gesture but you can only use it online which is absolutely no good to me because I've got no intention of ordering Asda online again!! Too much agro and I wouldn't mind the kids are back to school , it's raining so they haven't worn the shorts anyway!

I’m not surprised at all at the low…

I’m not surprised at all at the low ratings that Asda George have received.
I love their clothes, but their head office and service for click and collect is absolutely horrendous.
For the third time, I wasn’t given part of my order in store and I received a shock reply from Customer Services that was accusational and damn right rude! I was told they investigated and my parcels were picked up despite me missing one, then I was told my account is in the red because apparently I do this everytime (I’ve said 3’times I’m missing a parcel because the store haven’t given me it…) so it’s not my fault but ok! He didn’t investigate at all!I went to the store and my missing order was there all along! This was the horrible message I received -
Thank you for sharing the requested details with us. I truly appreciate your cooperation. However, upon carefully reviewing the information and completing our investigation, I can confirm that both parcels were successfully collected from our end. Based on this, we are unable to initiate a refund for your order. Additionally, we have noticed a pattern where you have reported missing items in nearly every order. As a result of this activity, your account has been placed in a red category. This means that any future refund requests may not be considered. ~ Rishabh

I have put in a full complaint to head office but as it’s a call center not in this country and there is communication issues I will not hold my breath. As a really frequent customer I feel like I don’t want to shop with them any more - such unprofessionalism!

Appalling service, the poor trust pilot score is accurate

Seeing the trust pilot score for George at Asda and I’m not surprised! The service is horrendous. My last few orders have apparently all been lost! There clearly not keeping update with their stock as much as they claim to be and are letting customers place orders for items they do not have the stock of to complete these orders! My order was due last Monday and today I was advised that my biggest parcel (it had been split into 3) had actually gone missing, failed to mention this every other day when I chased for an update. My other 2 items would be available to finally collect today a week late. I’ve since been told that actually all 3 have been lost. I cannot re order my items as surprisingly the items are out of stock! This happened at Christmas also. The customer service agents don’t seem to put out by this but when your shopping for 2 and are ordering the same items in different sizes so they can match it’s a waste of time receiving 1 or 2 items from the whole order if any at all. I will no longer be shopping with Asda online, they are clearly incompetent of successfully completing an order. Still awaiting a response them in-regards to raising a complaint, not that I believe it would ever be taken seriously.

Absolutely abysmal. 4 days in, I have 1/6 of my patio set.

Just going to paste the letter I'm sending to head office.

I bought the Miami green 6 piece patio set on 19th May 2026, while it was on offer. I paid the extra couple of pounds delivery, so I could choose the day that I knew I would definitely be in the house – Thursday 28th May 2026.
Come delivery day, I had heard nothing. No tracking, no updates, so all I could do was wait. I got up at the crack of dawn to make sure I was prepared. Fed up of hanging around with no information somewhere around lunchtime, I rang your customer service and I was told it was on the way.
I rang back at 20:14, as still no sign of delivery, no updates or tracking. The colleague I spoke to said it would be delivered the next day, Friday 29th. I explained I would not be in the house that day, that’s why I booked a specific slot. I asked if he could cancel the order, and he said he would, but they might still attempt delivery anyway.
Nothing came on the Friday. I had different tracking results, ranging from it was on the way to be delivered between 17:41-19:41, it was being returned to sender etc. But, nothing came.
On Saturday 30th May, I received an email with tracking saying delivery would be with me from 1:55-3:55. The table came. Nothing else. So 3 days in, I have 1/6 of the set I’ve paid for. Which, is sitting in my hallway, as I have a sprained back and knee, so can’t lift it, and the delivery guy didn’t have the sense to think that a patio table might need to be delivered to the back, where the yards are round here. Again, another reason why I had booked Thursday – so I had someone here to help me move things.
I rang up yet again, at 3:15, understandably very annoyed by this point. The colleague I spoke to this time said the other part of the delivery was on the way. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Your colleague told me there wasn’t one available, but I insisted, and incredibly, one was on the line in less than two minutes. He said the rest of my package was definitely on the way and would be delivered by end of day-by 10pm. I was even more annoyed, as this is later than I ever stay up, and I would have to stay awake to wait for a parcel that should have come 3 days beforehand. By the end of the call, his wording had changed from, “it definitely will come,” to, “it SHOULD come”. He said he would take on the case personally and contact me to keep me updated/check it had been delivered. I have had no contact, and it Is 12:28 the following day. He did send me a £10 gift voucher by way of an apology. As if that makes up for messing my life around for 3 entire days?!
So, I assume I am to ring up again today, as no one has bothered to contact me. I have DM’d on Instagram, which took ages to get back to me. I’ve replied to the email from your supervisor, which he said I could reply to. I have left a terrible review on George online. I will be doing the same on Trustpilot. Whatever it takes to actually get you to pay attention to me.

My review is mainly for the delivery .i like asda george clothing and fairly priced but just a shame about the delivery evri.meant to be delivered on a certain day then evri couldnt deliver the parcel even though i was in all day.never tried deliver the parcel waited a full weekand nothing .customer service have processed a refund can take 14 days but what a load of mither .please asda george change who delivers the parcels evri are so unreliable .not the first time ive had issue with evri thankyou

Don't bother ordering

I never received my order, the courier even accepted they lost the item. I reported this to George at Asda over a month ago, and they say my account is suspended, and that needs to be dealt with first, ive phoned them over 5 times to be told each time someone would look into and call me back, I'm still waiting for that, its all I get everytime I phone. I would just like my order I placed for Baby items before my baby is actually here.

I bought a cotbed at the end of a January, less than five months ago, the leg has snapped causing my son’s sleep to disrupt in the middle of the night. The product is faulty as this shouldn’t be the case of an item that states it can last till the baby is 6 years old. I have contacted the George at Asda team they response to this is although it is consumer rights 2015 there’s nothing they can do and I’ll have to buy a new cot after paying 200£ for the one I currently had which I bought not long ago

What a rip off !!!

It is easy to see why George Asda are currently sitting at 1.2 !!!
My recent experience in store where I bought a 2 to 3 year old swimsuit and then exchanged it for 3 to 4 year old.

Why would it be £2 more ? Ladies sizes 10 to 20 are the same price why would an inch on a child's clothing be £2 more.

Such a rip off and I won't be shopping there again thats for sure.

Awful and embarrassing

Awful. I’ve used them before with no issues but this time I ordered some items to be delivered to a store. Delivery date came and went. Nothing. Then a generic email said there was a delay. Then nothing. 3 days late now. So I rang them. The package is lost. But they weren’t going to say this to me. So now they’re doing a refund but I’ll be checking this. Horrible service and they’ll get no more business from me. Shame.

Disgusting service.

When I went to the George Asda Living today in Cortonwood Retail Park, I was third in line and was waiting 20 minutes. Why? The staff were busy on their phones and chatting. They were showing each other videos and laughing- literally ignoring the customers. There was a big line building up and they were just standing around doing nothing. When the line was wrapping around the store, must've been 20+ people, they only had 2 people on tills and they were still talking to eachother and being so slow. I was with my grandad and he was hurting from standing too long. Absolutely ridiculous! Can't even blame it on being young and carefree because they were all above 50 atleast. Crazy.

Items didn't arrive and unacceptable wait for refund

I ordered 2 waistcoats for a wedding to be collected in store. As they hadn't arrived 4 days after the date and were now too late I requested a refund by phoning Customer Services. I was told that it would be 3-5 working days. As the refund wasn't made after 5 working days I phoned Customer Services again. I was told that there was a problem with my payment card details. It's funny that there wasn't a problem taking the money and the card is exactly the same. I saved the details in the app and gave her my account number. I was promised that the refund would be processed as a priority and the status changed in my account. Still showing as on the way and no sign of a refund. I will never order from Asda again.

Very disappointed with both the quality…

Very disappointed with both the quality of George at Asda products and the customer service experience.

I bought a multipack of bras from the Leyton store and one of them snapped after only 2–3 wears. The bra is practically new, yet customer services have repeatedly refused to help unless I travel back to the original store, which is around a 45-minute journey from where I live and would cost me additional money.

I offered proof of purchase, photos, and even to return the faulty item by post, but none of this was accepted. I also asked for the issue to be escalated and was left waiting on the phone without assistance.

For a low-cost faulty item, the level of inconvenience and poor handling has been completely disproportionate. Customers should be aware that if something goes wrong with an in-store purchase, this may be the level of difficulty involved in trying to resolve it.

Unfortunately, after this experience, I won’t be purchasing bras from George at Asda again.

Awful delivery service received one…

Awful delivery service received one item out of two won't change the delivery address either even though there fault if other item turns up I may not be here to collect so the driver will have to keep coming back and going with the item. If knew delivery was going to be like this i certainly would not have bought anything from them.

Terrible delivery

Asda George has very nice, affordable, stylish clothes but I’m always put off ordering anything because the dispatch and delivery is SO poor. Unreliable. Often never turns up at all. Tracking not updated. Someone in Asda management needs to read these reviews or go and speak to Matalan and Tu Sainsbury’s who are eminently reliable and know how to do this efficiently and reliably.

Hello,
Today early morning my family member went to the Asda Millington Road Hayes London to pick up a George order and the staff finally came out after 1 hour.When she finally turned up (indian) she said "you know how much I have to do there, go and speak to manager".

Asda Govan 25.5.26 A.M I would like to praise the assistant for helping with an Amazon return. The store is not familiar to me. I only knew the basics of return. The assistant was so patient and respectful, did not make me feel stupid. We even had a brief chat, I didn't catch her name, she is petite, blonde with glasses. Please reward her, she is a real asset
