I am shocked by the "customer service"…
I am shocked by the "customer service" at Georgia Hardinge. I bought the Riviera dress and was surprised by the poor quality and fit of the dress based on the price tag. I paid $576 and I received it on June 25, 2026 and sent it back on July 29, 2026 (I was unaware of the 14 day return window applying to international purchases). As a "courtesy," I was offered the option to exchange the dress with another dress "within the same price range," as they would not provide a refund for the dress I sent back. I selected a new dress priced at $527 and the customer service agent said they would update me with shipping. Then, eleven days later, instead of getting a shipping update, I got an invoice for $60 to cover the "cost difference" between the original dress and the new dress. It is now September 18, 2026 and I have neither a new dress or my refund. I have emailed back and forth multiple times and have been super disappointed with how unwilling the customer service team seems to work with me. Since I ordered my dress on sale, there are very few dresses within the price range of my original dress, so it seems like the "within the price range" comment means select a dress that is less than your original so you lose more money after over two months of trying to work with the team. To now be billed for an additional $60 seems unbelievable for a company that advertises itself to be a luxury dress brand. I will never be shopping here again, and have shared my experience with anyone expressing interest in the brand. If you are interested in a dress, make sure to buy it from a retailer with better customer service. Super bummed.

Customer service avoidance tactics very underhand
***Update: just to say that within minutes of putting up this review, I was contacted by customer service and arrangements were made to sort this out. A new dress was reluctantly offered after a bit of back and forth (they first wanted to me to repair it with the swatches provided and then said they would repair it before offering a new one). Never had to send so many messages about any item I have ever purchased.
Nonetheless seemingly very apologetic and said that my emails had gone into spam, which I found odd as the original email was responded to.
They were nice enough in the end but I don’t think anyone should have to nag to get something done.
Once resolved they did also ask that I remove this review. I think customers are looking for an accurate customer experience. Hence I am not removing it but updating it. One more star for sorting it out eventually.
As an aside despite asking for it to be packaged well in tissue paper (they say it’s because they are trying to be sustainable) it still arrived like before with nothing but a plastic bag (which is ironic given their sustainable initiative) within a paper bag 🙄

The cosmic dress I bought for my significant birthday party was really quickly delivered and the dress itself is really beautiful but the company packaged it without tissue paper leaving the sequins at the back attached to the sleeve. This caused some of the sequins to drop off when the weight of the back part loosen as I unfolded it. So before even trying it on, the dress had a defect. It was really upsetting and I was worried about trying it on. I contacted the customer service who responded promptly about how apologetic they were and that they would sort it out.
I have yet to hear from them. I sent numerous emails to follow up and they have ignored them all.
Also remember the return window is 14 days so I think they try to get you over that period so that they can say they don’t accept returns. But if I return it, I am sure they will also say that it’s my fault.
So basically this appears to be a case of poor customer service and avoidance. Really disappointing as the dresses are lovely. But I won’t buy from them again and suggest you don’t either. Two stars just because it’s a lovely dress.

My experience with Georgia Hardinge was disappointing from start to finish.
I ordered a dress from Georgia Hardinge earlier this summer for an upcoming wedding. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I found it extremely unflattering and was disappointed by the quality. The fabric felt flimsy and looked far cheaper than I would expect for the price point, so I decided to return it and order a different style instead.
After returning the dress, I noticed that my refund had not been processed. When I contacted customer services, I was told that the dress had been returned with the "lining missing". This came as a complete surprise, as there was no separate lining included when I received the dress. I returned the item in exactly the same condition in which it arrived. How could I possibly have known that a lining was missing if it was never there in the first place?
What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. Rather than addressing what was clearly a quality control issue, I felt as though I was being treated with suspicion and effectively accused of wrongdoing. The matter apparently required an investigation, and I then had to repeatedly chase both a response and my refund. As an honest customer, I found this incredibly uncomfortable and frustrating.
After a considerable amount of follow-up, my refund was eventually processed.
The replacement dress was also underwhelming. Again, the quality did not reflect the price, and the material had an unpleasant smell upon arrival. Given the circumstances and my previous experience, I wore it for my event and sold it afterwards rather than keeping it.
My experience suggests that Georgia Hardinge would be better served by reviewing its quality control procedures rather than making paying customers feel at fault for issues that originate within the business. Sadly, this experience has completely eroded my confidence in the brand, and I will not be purchasing from them again.
I would not recommend this company and will never shop with them again.

Appalling customer service
This is a review of the appalling customer services. I purchased a dress online and returned it within the 28 days, having raised a return a few days after receipt of it (within the 14 days required). Customer services are refusing to refund my money. The dress in question was significantly different from that advertised and glitter falling off. They are claiming as I don’t mention the glitter they deem there was nothing wrong with the dress. Significantly different means that it was not the dress advertised or delivered! The customer services for this company are appalling. Trying every trick to avoid refunding money. Stating items must be returned within 14 days, which is incorrect. I expect my money to be refunded or I will be initiating a chargeback from my bank and providing them with all of the emails in support of my rights as a consumer.

Please stop lying and insinuating that the dress was returned outside the 28 days UK consumer protection guidelines. The request to return was made well within the 14 day request. Clarisse - you initially insisted that the dress must be returned within a strict 14 days, which you later backtracked, when challenged. After my leaving negative reviews and posting these on social media, you eventually refunded me and emailed me basically advising me not to make further comments. Yet here customer services lying and misrepresenting the situation.
Buyers beware - dresses are inferior quality, absolutely not as shown in any of their photographs and the customer service is genuinely appalling!

We would, however, like to clarify the circumstances for the benefit of anyone reading this review. Our returns policy provides customers with 14 days to notify us that they wish to return an item, followed by a further 14 days for the return to reach us. This timeframe is clearly communicated to all customers and has been consistently applied for years.
In your case, the return was received 19 days beyond the stated return timeframe. Our concern was therefore not an attempt to avoid issuing your refund, but simply that the return had been received outside of the timeframe outlined in our policy.
The issue regarding glitter was only raised after we contacted you regarding the late return. Had we been informed about this concern when you first received the dress or when you initially contacted us about the return, we would have been more than happy to investigate the matter properly and address it accordingly.
Despite the return being outside of our stated timeframe, we have still processed and issued your refund. At no point were we attempting to “trick” you or use our returns policy as a way of withholding your money. We were simply seeking clarification regarding a return that had arrived significantly outside the timeframe provided to our customers.
We are sorry that you felt frustrated by the process, but we feel it is important to provide the full context and clarify that your refund has been processed.
We appreciate your feedback and will always continue to review customer concerns fairly and in line with our policies.

I bought two dresses I had longed for
I bought two dresses I had longed for, after a miracle sale. They arrived quickly. They are absolutely gorgeous in person, though the sizing is a bit odd. For context, I bought them being a little too big for them, but on a steady weight loss journey. The smaller size of the two fit me better than the larger. The larger was a good bit tighter. They are the exact same design just in different colours.
All the same, the dresses are beautiful and I can't wait to wear them.
My one gripe is that I wish they used more models to display the clothes. There seems to be one consistent model used for most dresses, and you can't always tell how something might look on you through a single person who looks dramatically different to you both in size and shape. I am a very pear shaped person and no matter the weight I am at, getting fitting and suiting clothes can be a nightmare.
I would appreciate if they had some plus size models too, considering the clothes go up to a 22.

Love my dress - great sales when they come up . Only thing is I wish they had models in a wider range of body types as the pleating etc does make the dress hang differently on me to the waif thin model. Still looks great though!

Horrible customer service experience
Horrible customer service experience. I wouldn't purchase from them again. I ordered precisely according to their sizing chart and the dress fit all wrong. Regardless of ordering per my measurements the pleating was stretched and looked horrendous. The waist was significantly higher than the photo. I also had to pay $114 to ship it to me which is crazy and another $39 to ship it back! Even tho the package weighed less than a lb. I complained and they told me to send photos and then said to me based on my photo I probably should have ordered a larger size. Which is a pretty rude response especially since the waist was way too big already. They refused to refund me the shipping cost even though the dress is clearly cut wrong.
Anyways I would stay away. Poor quality and poor customer service.

Regarding your concern about the waist sitting higher than shown on our website, this can vary from person to person depending on height, body proportions, and where the dress naturally sits on the body. This particular style also features a waist tie, which can be adjusted to your preference to help define the waist and achieve the most flattering fit.
I completely understand that this wasn't the outcome you were hoping for, and I'm sorry the dress wasn't the right fit for you.
Regarding the shipping and duties, these are unfortunately costs that have already been incurred once an order has been shipped, which is why we're unable to refund them under our policy. I appreciate that this is frustrating, particularly when the item didn't work out.

Dress sent nothing like what I ordered
I ordered the relic dress online. It arrived very quickly and there is a great range of sizes. However the dress looked nothing like what I ordered and the sparkly it’s came off the dress really easily. So incredibly disappointed as the dress online looked perfect for what I needed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we're very sorry to hear that the Relic Dress didn't meet your expectations.
We understand how disappointing it must have been when the dress looked different from what you were expecting. While we do our very best to represent each piece as accurately as possible, lighting during photoshoots and different viewing screens can sometimes slightly affect how a garment appears in person.
We'd also like to clarify that the slight shedding you noticed from the Metallic fabric is not a fault with the garment. The fabric can shed a small amount of excess metallic material initially as part of its production process; the metallic elements that are bonded to the fabric remain in place.
