If I could give Vuelo -5 stars, I absolutely would.
I booked a 3-night stay, but due to the Middle East crisis, I was unable to get a flight for my original travel date. I informed Vuelo more than TWO WEEKS in advance that I needed to change the date.
What followed was over two weeks of back-and-forth emails just to confirm a simple date change.
At one point, Vuelo even confirmed that the hotel had accepted the new dates. I then requested an additional room for the same revised dates. After dragging things out for weeks, they suddenly came back saying:
“The room type and rate selected are non-refundable.”
Apparently, according to Vuelo, this now means you cannot change the date OR the room.
The problem is — nowhere during booking was this clearly explained. The app only says “non-refundable.” It does NOT clearly state that date changes are completely impossible, even weeks in advance.
I even asked them to move the booking to ANY available future date, and they still refused, repeating the same generic response over and over again.
Be extremely careful when booking with Vuelo. If you have a flight issue, emergency, or need to change your dates, you could easily end up in the same situation as me — losing your money with zero flexibility and terrible customer support.
The process is painfully slow, disorganised, and honestly feels like you are dealing with AI-generated responses instead of real customer service agents.
Absolutely time-wasters.
