Shortly after we were seated, a staff member repeatedly asked for our drink order within just 1-2 minutes.
Despite having ordered a substantial amount of food, she persistently inquired if we were finished and attempted to clear our plates prematurely. This behavior made us feel rushed and uncomfortable.

I observed that this staff member did not exhibit the same behavior toward other patrons, raising concerns that her actions might have been racially motivated, as we are all Asian.
There were no queues for tables, and several tables were empty, so there was no apparent need to rush us.

Went to Giggling Squid in Brentwood for the first time. It was my aunt’s birthday who is wheelchairbound and access was very good. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you chef(s). Girls who served us (Emily, Albie )were friendly and accommodating. Adrienne was a super host. (apologies for misspelling of names). Will definitely come again🌟

Very disappointing! went back there after having a lovely meal before but we took 6 family members there to enjoy an evening out. How very disappointed my wife & i at the below average meal, asked some of the group what they thought and they were not impressed either, won't be going back as it seems that you have to guess what the food will be like, substitute starters as choose was already gone (told 10/15 mins later) main courses were just okay but vegetables under cooked - hard, not cooked through, felt guilty so paid for everyone. We go to Thai restaurants all over the country so do know what to expect.

Superb meal and superb service. Wonderful tasting food – for someone who doesn't have much experience of Thai… Great location and all superb in Cambridge…

Visited the Shrewsbury branch, clean and tidy and the service was good.
However - the main course portions we were served were very small and expensive for basic menu meals - not much bigger than the lunch size portions which aren't exactly large - very poor value for money in my opinion. Much better VFM places to eat close-by

Went to the Bishop Stortford branch for a birthday lunch. It was pretty quiet so service was not an issue. I loved the decor and had no complaints about the food. We ordered the small plates and although it looked like a lot of food, when you removed the vegetables there was not as much as it looked. I enjoyed the salmon bites but wasn't keen on the leaves that came with it. We ordered the prawn dishes, squid, fritters and the spring rolls. All the dishes were tasty. It was quite expensive at over £90 considering it was lunch. Thanks to the staff for singing happy birthday to me. I would definitely go back.

Been to to Giggling Squid Shrewsbury a number of times and food very good in general . Wouldnt suggest going on a Friday or Saturday evening. It is, in my opinion overcrowded and very noisy. My last visit with family and friends not a good experience. Felt cramped in to table with little room. 1 starter arrived after long delay and 1 main was also served long after the other 5 meal meals. I contacted manager with my comments and am not happy with his response. Basically he said they have to serve so many on these days it is noisy and very busy. Still feel unhappy that they over stretch themselves. Doubt if I will go back. Sadly I wouldnt now recommend.

Served by Mauro in the Welwyn Garden City restaurant, he was so lovely and welcoming and could not do anymore for us. The food was nice and the actual decoration of the place was so pretty. Thank you Mauro.

Hot liquid food served in aluminium bowls! Aluminium has long been known to be detrimental to health.
Sticky rice served in a plastic bag.

First time using this restaurant in Harbourne.
We received excellent service and quality, tasty food.
Great menu choice and we felt really relaxed in a good atmosphere. We really had an enjoyable first visit. Hopefully will go again soon.

Lovely tapas style lunch. Hot and tasty. Have had takeaway delivery lunch too and arrived fresh and hot too. Yum!

Expensive for average Thai food..£22 platter was barely enough for 2 ladies. And as for the squid, it did make us giggle because it was like trying to eat cold jelly.

Food lacked authentic flavour and was swimming in oil. Avoid this restaurant. It has a lot of deep fried and oily food without the depth of flavour you expect from Thai food. Never again.

I ordered Prawn and chicken pad thai to go and fried spring roll, both were bland and does not taste thai at all. I cannot taste the fish sauce and tamarind sauce which is the the ingredient that brings out the flavor of the dish. The staff were very nice though.

We went for dinner and while the ambiance was great the food lacked any flavour or substance. Everything was deep fried and tasteless. Would recommend Rosa’s Thai or really ANY other Thai place including the one at boxpark croydon . The tofu in my pad thai was soaked in oil . Left us both feeling rather sick . Plz save your money and tastebuds and go somewhere else.

Went to the Reigate branch for my 40th birthday lunch, even though we had made reservations the wait for food was over an hour. We were sat at the window table and it was so cold, the skirting board and floor was filthy. We ordered the crispy squid for a starter, which was mostly greasy panko and the smallest bit of squid you could imagine.
For our mains, we ordered a yellow Thai prawn and soft shell crab curry, I specifically asked for it to be mellow. It was not. My whole mouth burned within the first spoonful. My husband who can handle hot spicy food, also could not finish his either. Again, there was hardly any meat and a lot of unrecognisable ingredients which were not nice. It was very disappointing, although the restaurant staff did replace my order with a pad Thai. This was our favourite restaurant and Thai is our favourite food but we won’t be returning in the future.

We went to cardiff giggly squid for 1st time for a birthday meal and wasnt that impressed. 1st impression beautiful look and feel to the restaurant. Having arrived at restaurant 10mins early was told we couldn't go in as restaurant as it was full and we had to wait outside, good job it wasnt raining. Our meals came with no dipping pots to clean fingers, had to de-shell the prawns and had to take out the black vein which was so messy. This should have been done prior to cooking. Asked for stir fry with out torfu and it didnt seem an issue yet it came with it in, so again had to sieve through my meal snd take out what i didnt like. Table was full of mess. I ordered duck which it came and was very fatty. My white chocolate cheese cake came and it was frozen which i couldnt eat much of as my teeth are so sensative. Staff seemed sarcastic at times when approched when things weren't quite right. Restraunt well over rated and so expensive for what you had. So for the 8 of us that went would we be going again.. No dnt think so. Very dissapointed.

We visited today to the new Shrewsbury Branch, for late lunch and it was not as good as an experience as we have had in the Stratford on Avon branch. We waited quite a while to have the order taken, even though we could see several very young staff standing around “chatting each other up”. Eventually an older lady came and asked if an order had been taken, and duly took the other. People watching we spotted that several other guests appeared to be complaining about having the wrong dish arrive, so we were worried whether ours would be correct……after what felt like a lifetime, our order arrived and it was correct and it was very impressive. Food was good, decent quantity and well cooked. We go to a lot of Thai restaurants and the food here was up with the best…..but the service was lacking, which spoilt the whole experience really. Then, to add insult to injury they added 10% to the bill for “service”. Given the service we had experienced I would have been more impressed had they have knocked 10% off. We are NOT the type of people to complain and don’t like confrontational situations, so we just paid the bill……but I genuinely now feel that we have been “ripped off”…..which may now taint my future views of going back. The staff definitely need a few hard lessons in Customer Service and that any chatting should be done once their shift is over.
