I was initially sceptical but after reading the positive reviews and once Harry explained everything I saw the work happening in my HMRC account and I received approx £3000 back in under a week.

I engaged this company to manage my Self Assessment tax returns for the 2022/23 and 2023/24 tax years.

After contacting HMRC directly, I was informed that neither tax return had been submitted and that no appeals had been lodged in relation to the associated late filing penalties. This resulted in HMRC issuing penalty notices totalling £2,000.

The agent originally handling my account had left the company. I was not notified of this change, and only became aware after contacting the firm myself to chase progress. Despite emailing the company with copies of the HMRC penalty letters, I did not receive a response or any explanation.

HMRC advised that I contact the firm to confirm that no submissions should be made on my behalf. Due to the lack of communication and clarity, I subsequently terminated their services and resolved the matter directly with HMRC.

This experience resulted in avoidable stress and financial penalty. Based on my experience, communication and case continuity were not managed to an acceptable professional standard. I would not recommend this service

Update:
Following my review, the Director of the company contacted me directly to acknowledge the issues I experienced and offered a sincere apology. He has since offered to personally assist and provide his services free of charge in order to resolve the matter.

While this does not change the difficulties I initially faced, I do appreciate the Director taking responsibility and making efforts to address the situation.

Efficient service and updates received from Gorilla Tax and Charles Chapman from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
