Absolutely shocking and non existing 'customer service'. Placed online order mainly for cheese but also some bacon and a few other bits. I odered the cheeses that I did because I'd not heard of two of them and they sounded great and had won awards. Box arrived with two 'substitutes' they took it on themselves (even though they had about 10 days from order to let me know) to replace the two cheeses that I was looking forward to with a lump of Stilton and some Cornish Yarg, two cheeses that I would never buy.. this is the next VERY ANNOYING BIT.. contacted them THREE times via their message service on their website. Guess what? they don't have the common decency to reply! Rubbish service all round. I buy from various farm shops most weeks and like to try differant ones. Every other one, I've gone back to 3 or 4 times so far but I will NOT be going back to this one. They must think they are bloody Tesco to simply scrub out what I had paid for and write in black pen on the slip of paper in the box 'substituted'.

We received our Greendale christmas order this morning and I am more than pleased with the excellent quality meat , fresh veg and salad. Very fresh and I am sure we will enjoy . Thank you and we will be ordering again.

Not happy with my order. Ordered a turkey leg cusion. Ordered in October to collect Dec 11th. Daughter went to collect and they had substituted with turkey breast. I feel they had plenty of time for the order. I have emailed them but got no reply. Very rude

Take away fish and chips disgusting.
Paid £17 for 2 cod and chips and chips gone in bin. Fish was OK ish as batter not quite cooked in middle but edible, The chips were old chips reheated and absolutely disgusting.
Used to be best around but no longer.
Not first time but will be last, have used for 4 years but no more.

This was my first online order so I was a little nervous but I needn't have worried, I purchased a Roast Beef Rib boned and rolled and we all agreed it was the best piece of beef we had ever had so tender it just melted in your mouth and the flavour was amazing and all the vegetable purchased were also 5* quality. Will definitely be purchasing again

Cracked tooth on crab shell in restaurant. Told manager and she found some more in amongst the crab so glad I stopped eating. She explained that it comes from their supplier pre picked and packed and said from now on they would put a warning on the menu. Is that an acceptable solution?

This was my first online order for meat, fish & veg. I have decided that supermarket meat is all tough & tasteless. I bought the rolled rib joint and cooked it exactly as Greendale has given, and it was the best beef my husband and I have ever eaten. The swede was very good not tough & rubbery. The salmon is still in my freezer. I have placed our second order, and will continue to do do.

I had tea, and cakes at Greendale this morning with my four year old grandson, we had quite a wait but I accept it was busy so that’s fine, when the tea arrived it was plonked on the table, no smile, almost thrown at us, I was very surprised to see a very discoloured tea pot, almost mucky looking, I should have said something at the time but it was so busy, I wouldn’t have had a tea pot like this in mine own kitchen! also the milkshake for £3:20 wasn’t stirred and a chunk of icecream jus chucked on the top, I jus feel having paid £9:50 for a crappy tea pot is not ! Come on Greendale you can do better!!

On holiday In the local area and have visited a couple of times to the shop, once to take away fish and chips and once to the restaurant.

Butchers....amazing! A bit pricey but worth it and the staff serving were great.

Fish and chips....ok but not out of this world. I witnessed the young lad get raw fish and sausage out the freezer touching. With bare hands after touching pen and paper then no sanitising in between taking more orders and handling paper to give to customers to then pay. (Ps-change your oil)

Shop....good produce, again a little pricey but we love good food. Salad and strawbs we bought were a bit passed their best.

Restaurant....don’t bother. Awful service, staff that don’t really care, drinks took forever, cold mussels, no check back, bad presentation on kids food, had to get up and get our own sauces abs napkins, waitress unfriendly, no one asked if we wanted to order more drinks, no one took plates away, weren’t asked if we wanted desserts so we asked for the bill and again left waiting until we went to the counter abs paid. Won’t return

I ordered a selection of veggies and salad online and paid a fortune for delivery, far more than anyone else charges. The Cornish New Potatoes were soft, some completely rotten and some growing huge tubers, they went straight in the bin. All of the tomatoes were old and squashy, the fresh plum tomatoes had white mould on them too. The celery and cucumber were ok but were pre packaged in plastic they weren't fresh local produce! Of the 3 lettuces I ordered, 1 was edible the other 2 were old and rotten and mushy. The beetroot was ok! i would never waste my money ordering from here again, produce was on the whole a rotten disgrace.

Owner kills protected wildlife in front of customers, disturbing and cruel.
Probably psychopaths would enjoy this place.

Such a shame as I had heard great things about this restaurant. Seated within minutes which was good, we ordered, the food took some time which seemed odd as there were quite a few staff and they weren't overally busy, 3 of us had the chicken caeser salad, it looked amazing but sadly the chicken was overcooked and basically inedible, we were then left without anyone coming over to ask us how things were or if we wanted anything else for nearly 2 hours! When we eventually got a waitress we explained we weren't overly happy, she relayed to the kitchen and they rebated our drinks. We then ordered some dessert plus prosseco, this did take a while to arrive. sadly my 1st experience was not great, maybe could do better next time guys thank you .

Just paid £38+ for 5 adult meals and 2 kids and the chips were dark brown and overcooked to the point they were nearly burnt. Soft batter slimy on some sausages and solid hard crunchy unbeatable batter on the fish. Fish-cakes looked awful inside and tasted worse. This is the 2nd time recently we have had Greendale deliveries and I must say last year, they were very good even if experience, so I don’t know what has happened now, but we won’t be ordered from there again. Very poor.

Big disappointment! First trip to Greendale Farm Shop and I was very disappointed. The Butcher's seemed reluctant to serve or put in any effort, they don't do Lamb mince? The belly pork was too thick and when I asked for thinner slices they wouldn't do it. I bought a joint and cut it up myself at home. I bought a Coffee and walnut cake which was dry as a bone and tasteless. Can't see why anyone would shop there? Dart Farm might be a bit pricey but at least you get great service with a smile and everything is top quality produce.

it's been a little over 12 months since I have visited Green dales farm and I have got to say big big wow car parking all tarmac more outdoor seating to enjoy a coffee and a bit to eat while the little ones play on adventure play area you can now walk around more of the farm to see the animals inside brand new make over with excellent quality food to all involved top marks Green dales love it

Greendale is my number one place to shop, especially for meat. I've been ordering from them for a long time. The standard and welfare of animals is very important to me and they strictly abide by this. Also, the taste and quality is superior to any supermarket meat, or other butchers, I've known. The website is very clear and easy to navigate, also very inviting to look at. The staff and customer service is amazing and very thorough. Delivery dates are very good, and there's always availability for the next day onwards. Everything arrives extremely well packaged with ice blocks and foil bags. Lastly, the beef Wellington, this Christmas, was out of this world, truly fantastic. We'd never had beef Wellington before so this was a real treat. The gammon joint for New year's was also superb. The butcher is always happy to help and advise on any cooking methods. I'll always shop at Greendale , always recommend them and am never disappointed.

My first box was absolutely fine but this time there were lots of items missing. There was a refund but that's not the point: I needed some of those items for dishes I proposed to prepare. If products are not in stock they should amend the website. The items I wanted were still being advertised as available on the days they would have been packing my order. The packing was not good so my yeast spilled all over the cold bag and the rye flour got wet because it was in with stuff that was being kept cool. They responded promptly to say they had refunded the spoiled goods - so that's good at least, and led me to give them 4 stars: but it's a shame, I can't now make rye bread as I'd intended!
To be honest the main reason I went back to Greendale to buy was because they sell the most delicious goats cheeses and organic cream and unless I can find another source for those items I shall order again: I'd be devastated if they were not available and didn't get sent!

Used to be on our list of favourite places to have breakfast but over-expansion and the coronavirus have taken their toll.

Food is a long time coming and the last two times they have got the order wrong. But instead of an apology staff are grumpy and quite rude, obviously overworked and very unfriendly.

It's off our list now.

After a good first order, my second order was very dissapointing. With only one ice pack in the box most of the fish was no longer edible by the time it reached us on delivery day. More attention when packing is required especially in the warmer months.

excellent service and products. We've been ordering weekly from them since the corona virus outbreak began. The website is easy to use, food is really good and always deliver on time well packed. We have had no problems whatsoever and will continue buying from them even when we come out of self isolation. Thank you Greendale x
