They deserve lower than a one star. We booked a mustang and we called a day before pick up to confirm that we are getting a Mustang when we arrive they say they don’t have one for us. Then after we argue with them they say we can get one in 15 min. As we’re talking to them the agent next to us gives the car to another client. We waited for 3 hours and we never got our car.
Horrible experience and even worse customer service. I would never come back and I do not recommend anyone use their service.
They fool you with providing a Mustang and you pay a premium for it but end up with a Corolla for the same price.

This company is a Scam! They over charge; you will end up paying three times or more what they quote you. Rude service, no gas in the cars at pick up. Required to make huge unnecessary deposits, which they try to steal. Required to pay outrageous daily insurance fees. They should be investigated for fraud and misrepresentation.

This is the perfect scam. They quote you a very low rental price to hook you in, then they flood you with numerous added charges (insurance, booking fee, tolls, etc) and at the end you pay double of what you would have paid with Hertz, Avis, Enterprise or Dollar. In addition, in Miami, they claim to be "In the Terminal", but they are not. We refused to sign the contract because the terms were not consistent. What they do is they send you an e-mail a day later, with the fine print, which is not consistent with what you agreed to when you made the booking. STAY AWAY FOR THEM AT ALL COSTS!!

EDIT: Regarding their response, I did contact them, asked for a refund, which they refused.
If the cheap rental price seems too good to be true, it’s because it is! My experience with Green Motion Tampa was an absolute nightmare from start to finish.
First, their airport shuttle never showed up as advertised, forcing us to take a paid Uber to their remote location—a full 20-minute drive from the airport, not "close" as they claim. Upon arrival, I presented my valid car insurance, which every other reputable rental company would accept without issue. However, Green Motion pulled a shady bait-and-switch tactic.
They claimed my $50,000 comprehensive coverage wasn’t enough, insisting it needed to be $300,000—a ridiculous and arbitrary requirement. The only way to rent the car was to purchase their overpriced insurance at a minimum of $77 per day, adding hundreds to the cost and making the "cheap" rental far more expensive than a premium rental company. To top it off, even if you provide your own insurance, they slap a $2,000 hold on your credit card. I had to cancel my reservation, without reimbursement, and spend over $100 in Ubers to get from the airport to Green Motion, then Green Motion to my resort.
It was clear from the front desk employee’s attitude that this is a well-practiced scam. This company preys on unsuspecting customers, luring them in with cheap rates only to extort them upon arrival. If you're considering renting from Green Motion Tampa, RUN in the other direction. This place is a total scam!

Terrible experience collecting a car in Orlando. We waited 45 mins to be told the booking was cancelled because we were about an hour and half late collecting the car (baring in mind this is an airport car hire). Because the booking was cancelled we had to pay extra. Staff were impatient, didn't know what they were doing and extremely rude. The customer service was shocking. I would rather pay more and go to a company that has good customer service. It puts a real downer on a holiday when you just step off a plane to be met with rudeness and intimidation from staff. If this was my first time to USA it would have cast a shadow over the whole holiday.

je mets une étoile car je ne peux pas mettre moins. cette compagnie de location de voiture est à fuire de toute urgence. leur pratique commerciale est extremement douteuse et ne vous fier pas au prix annonçé par les revendeurs car sur place, les agents vous obligeront à payer une assurance responsabilité civile supplémentaire et obligatoire selon leur dire et ils vous diront que votre carte de credit ne couvre pas cette assurance chez eux alors que pour ma part, ma carte Gold couvre bien cette partie d'assurance. pour donner des chiffres, j'ai payé 300 euros ma location de voiture sur un site revendeur et j'ai dû payer 590 $ de plus au guichet!!! ce sont des voleurs

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GREENMOTION IN TAMPA. Even though you feel like you will be saving money, in the end, you won't. Here's my story: when I arrived at TPA, I went out to the off-rental shuttle area and started waiting for the Greenmotion shuttle. After 15 minutes of not seeing a shuttle with a couple other companies coming by, I called Greenmotion using the number on file. After a few rings I was sent to voicemail–and then the box said it was full. I tried calling a couple of times with no success. I then reached out to Expedia, who also tried and had no other phone number. An hour passed and finally when we tried calling again they actually answered–hurrah! They said the shuttle had a flat and it was fixed and they'd be there in 5 minutes. Great! I just wish your phone had been working an hour ago to fill me in on the matter. What an awful experience. I should've followed my gut and walked back inside and gotten a car with Hertz.
However, I didn't. What I did do was get on the shuttle and go to Greenmotion. The gentleman was kind at the front desk who helped me, but it quickly became apparent that Greenmotion was trying to take my money for the heck of it. I had purchased rental car protection at Expedia, but Greenmotion said that it wasn't the right insurance that didn't actually cover me. What?? $190 in protection and an hour and fifteen minutes later, I was out the door.
Let my mistake be your warning: never rent from this company.
UPDATE: They charged me a $250 cleaning fee for a car that needed a normal vacuum (because FL sand) and a car wash. I have reached out for a better explanation and have yet to hear a reply.

I wish I could give negative stars for how terrible this place is. We literally rented a mini van for them not to have any when we got there. Is that even legal? Not having what you’re advertising? Anyway, please, if you’re looking into choosing this place for your car rental, don’t, go back, and start from scratch, because this place won’t help you with anything.

This is without a doubt the worst car rental experience I’ve had in 65 countries visited. We had already paid €300 for the rental, but once on-site, they forced us to take an additional €550 insurance, even though we were already insured. This outrageous practice seemed to be their standard approach, as all the other customers there were also unhappy.
They also made us take an unnecessary toll box, despite our refusal. When we tried to cancel, shorten the rental period, or switch to a different car to reduce costs, all our requests were flatly denied.
This company clearly takes advantage of travelers using abusive and dishonest tactics. It’s an absolute scam, and I strongly advise against it. Do yourself a favor and choose a more trustworthy rental company.

Two words - stay away. Green Motion is an incredibly shady company with business practices bordering on illegal. If you do book here (don't do it!) make sure that you have your own insurance as theirs covers nothing, and they will take your entire deposit. Go anywhere else!

Used green motion Tampa, Florida. They charge hidden fees. Be aware. Required $300k property insurance coverage which is not standard for typical on your auto policy- charged extra for it. I was told if you don’t like it don’t rent the car. Terrible start to a holiday.

Beware! They pressure you into purchasing additional insurance. The customer service is terrible. During pickup, they record the gas level as higher than it actually is. They refuse to refund the insurance if you return the car early and don’t respond to emails. Avoid this company!

Just watch on these Green Motion car rental guys. They did not give option to pay the toll even after asking about the toll. And they charged $55 on top of the actual toll. This is like scam. I had a reservation for today the 24th till Jan 8th, we called 3 days ago to confirm that the car was still good to go and they said yes. Today we called again and they said they didn't have any cars. We are not notified of any changes nor that we would not be getting any car. This is unprofessional and poorly handled. We were depending on that car to get around Mexico and are stranded at the airport. Do not book a rental with this company.

Siempre alquilamos vehículos con bastante frecuencia en Estados unidos y somos extranjeros y jamás compramos seguro porque poseemos el propio, así que sabemos cómo funciona.
NADIE ESTÁ OBLIGADO A COMPRAR LOS SEGUROS QUE OFRECEN LAS COMPAÑÍAS si ya tiene su propio seguro. Además si compra un nuevo seguro, el seguro propio deja de tener validez porque es obligatorio rechazarlo para que tenga validez el seguro propio en caso de necesitarlo.
Es una estafa, Andrés Gómez atendiendo la oficina de green Motion en el aeropuerto internacional de Orlando, nos negó la entrega del vehículo.

They rented me a car with 2 tires that had the wires showing through. They did not do a proper inspection before it left their lot. Had a blowout on the highway and they just referred me to the road service number on my rental agreement. Went back and forth with them and ended up getting an Uber and we barely made out flight. No discount, reimbursement on the rental cost or even an offer for a future rental. All I recieved was the Uber money I spent. "BMWs usually have run flats so you should be good" is what they told me. It didn't have run flats and we were lucky to be 5 or 6 miles from a highway stop.

Booked on a site for $150. When I got to the counter they added another $180. And force me to purchase insurance. I sent them my full coverage insurance information that I already pay a lot of money for, and my credit card co.pany covers loss to my rental too.
Thanks for the False information But I’ve tried multiple attempts to contact you with no success."the customer service person was sitting right there laughing" they gave me her name and a number and she was sitting right there in the office knowing she never answered or returned my calls. Your customer service, truly awful…a scam. Wow your representatives are good cons, and justified all the hidden fees/charges that are handed to the customer.

After paying for a vehicle through Expedia and buying a third party insurance policy through them, that insurance was not accepted when we arrived to pick the car up. I was charged an additional fee although I carry full coverage on my own policy and my credit card adds coverage on rentals.
In addition there was another $500 "deposit" charge that was never disclosed I had to pay on the spot.
Whoever details their cars had the bright idea to put Armor All on the brake pedal making it slippery causing an unnecessary dangerous situation

Do not use this company! They make you get additional car Insurance that you don’t need, even when you have full personal coverage on your own insurance! This cowboy firm will steal your money for damage you did not cause to vehicles. They charge extortionate fees for the damage and will not answer emails and phone calls. When confronting them in person they become very aggressive and abusive. I have seen staff members at the Luton branch wheel spinning these cars out of the Hampton Hilton Hotel car park (where they're based) and racing up towards the airport. Pay that little extra for a reputable and more professional company. This outfit and every single individual that works for them
are scam artists. How they've not been shut down I'll never know!!
