Zero stars. Bad company

Zero stars! Horrible company we reserved through Priceline for a great rate at a place 'on the airport'. It was a long ride to the place which had no other customers when we arrived. They insisted that we buy more insurance in spite of having Progressive which was displayed on their acceptable insurance sign. They insisted we show our declarations page to prove we had this weird number: $300.000,000. They called it 3 hundred thousand dollars. Nobody carries that. They had us at severe disadvantage because we were in a strange area needing to get on our way. So we paid it. They charged the one other couple even more ...adding on toll charges. Don't use this Green Motion company. It's sketchy!

I least a car with Green Motion last…

I least a car with Green Motion last year while on holiday in Italy.
The car had damage all around it, small dents and scratches, but nothing too severe, it was all noted on the paperwork.
My deposit was 900 Euros and I was told it would be deposited back into my bank account within 14 days of the end of my trip.
When I dropped off the car, I took pictures of it from all angles as it was very early in the morning with no one around.
I have been trying to get a response from Green Motion for 7 months about the return of my deposit.
I now have an email from them claiming there was damage on the vehicle and along with a damage report they sent a photo of scratches on a car of similar colour without any proof it's the same vehicle.
I have learned the hard way not to trust this rental company, after 7 months they pulled this stunt.
I will not use Green Motion again this year, they are clearly desperate to make money.

Green Motion - The Lowest of the Low

Please do yourself a favour and listen to the hundreds of negative reviews out there before you book anything with this company.

Once I arrived at the pick up location they guy I was dealing with (who wouldn't give me his name!) told me that the standard insurance only covered the car and didn't cover any third-party liability, and I would be to pay an additional $70 p/day for the upgraded insurance. I politely declined and told him that I didn't want or need any additional insurance, but was told it wasn't optional. I again said that I didn't want it, and let him know I had read through the Ts & Cs earlier that morning, and it didn't say anywhere that they could demand higher insurance. The response to this was "fine, I will cancel your booking "*10 seconds of typing** done, now please leave the office".

This is honestly one of the customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I don't know how these rude, unprofessional scammers are able to stay in business.

I rented a car in Tampa

I rented a car in Tampa. I was forced to buy the insurance even tough I have full coverage with my insurance. They said I didn't have enough "Collision coverage". They needed $300,000 and I have $100,000.
I rent cars quite frequently and never have this issue with all major companies. My insurance agent said he had never heard of this. I was in a bind and had to pay an extra $40 /day ($440). Every customer that day was saying the same thing. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!

Green Motion is a SCAM

Green Motion is a SCAM. I rented a car online for a trip to Iceland, I picked Green Motion because they were the only ones who would let me specify a Toyota Rav4 HYBRID. throughout the rental process it consistently said HYBRID. then I paid a lot extra for their 'premium' insurance package so I wouldn't have any worries at return. When picking up the car we were taken to 'Go Car' rentals and handed a standard petrol Rav4. I told them we reserved a HYBRID and they told us they don't even stock any HYBRIDS. Then I was informed that the expensive insurance was 3rd party and that I would still have to pay upfront for any damage - exactly what I wanted to avoid - and I already had 3rd party insurance through my credit card. Green Motion doesn't actually have any cars - they're a 3rd party advertising company that contracts with local rental car Co's to supply the cars - you can get a much better deal just renting directly from those companies. I didn't get anything I contracted for from Green Motion - they're a SCAM.

The worst!

The worst!! Of the WORST!!!! Please don’t ever rent from them. Over change me and never get my deposit back. Customer service is horrible and they lie. They offer me one price and when I get charge. I have 3 charges on my bank account.

Green Motion car rental STAY AWAY

Recently traveling to Tampa I reserved a car with GreenMotion their price was right and being a cheapo I went with them despite having to take a shuttle to their off airport location. Shuttle was a no show, upon contacting Green Motion Office to inquire about shuttle a man abruptly said, “i will call you back and hung up and me”. Again I called again receiving a similiar response. A few minutes passed and i did get a return phone call. The man now explained that i was :45 late and they released my reservation leaving me without a car. The fact that i stood along the curb for nearly an hour waiting for a shuttle that never arrived meant nothing. i was forced to return to the rental area within the airport and had to pay through the nose for a same day rental without a reservation. Spend the few extra dollars and stay with one of the big name rental companies within the Yampa airport. TRUST ME

Really badly was cheated on

Really bad. Car pick up place was not at the terminal, it cost a taxi to get there, and it was not an obvious place. On return there was no one on the site, and the place was locked up, had to call many places to get hold of someone. The worst was they claimed the car had extra scratches on it and charged me 310 euros. Bogus. hardly any customer service.
It took months to get an email response. I will not rent from these guys again. Don't fall for a low cost. in reality, it cost more to rent from them than from the brand companies.

Do NOT rent any car with "Green Motion". They overcharge you $40 per day for insurance. We were three clients at the same time in their office and all three had the same issue. "Green motion" forces you to pay insurance with one of their 6-7 insurance company on top of the cost you pay online. On top of that I paid for a full size car got a Corolla, which is midsize. "Green motion" doesn't even pay for the plate sticker, it was expired and I got a ticket in a parking lot in Tampa. Do NOT rent with "Green Motion" Tampa !!!

Terrible experience

I recently had an appalling experience with Green Motion rental in Miami that I feel compelled to share as a warning to potential customers.

My four-day rental of a Ford Mustang convertible turned into a nightmare due to:

**1. Hidden Charges:**
Despite prepaying over $300, including comprehensive coverage, I was shocked with an additional charge of $393.67 for liability insurance and tolls upon arrival. This inflated the total cost to over $694, equivalent to or more than reputable companies like Sixt or Hertz.

**2. Deceptive Practices:**
As an experienced tourist from the EU, I've never encountered such blatant attempts to deceive customers with hidden fees. Your employees insisted that without paying these charges, I couldn't take the car, leaving me feeling cornered and without a choice.

**3. Poor Vehicle Condition:**
For such a substantial rental fee, I expected a well-maintained vehicle. Instead, I received an old car in terrible condition, with scratches, scrapes, and malfunctioning features like the non-operational Apple CarPlay.

**4. Dishonest Staff:**
From the beginning, your employees displayed dishonest behavior. Unexplained delays, defensive responses to our inquiries, and a lack of transparency regarding fees were evident. The defensive suggestion to cancel the rental, knowing there was a 100% cancellation fee, only added to our frustration.

In conclusion, this experience was beyond disappointing, and I strongly advise against anyone using Green Motion services. The behavior of your employees and the business practices employed are unacceptable. I believe such conduct should be legally penalized, and I caution others to read multiple reviews before considering renting from your company.

Scam Rental Car Company!

I tried to use Green Motion in my last trip to Miami. I made the booking online in economybookings.com and once I arrived to the office (outside Miami Airport) the scam started. They tried to charge me 150 $ daily over the rent price I paid previously for insurance. They refuse to use my own insurance requesting a Liability over 300 K , when their car I rented are not over 25K market value. Other customers were upset also in the hall, I requested to cancel all to the guy in the desk and he said he was unable to refund to do it and said "Economybookings will never answer", the manager was smiling in a corner. Helpfully after I tried without look to contact Economybookings I did it through American Express and they canceled the payment. Stay away from this scamers!

DO NOT RENT FROM GREEN MOTION! I have very good insurance. I provided them with the documentation and they still insisted that we pay the $500 insurance. Because we were tired and over it, I paid it and then disputed it with their customer service team. They were of no help at all.
The location is off site and inconvenient and the service was poor on top of the FRAUD they are committing with their insane insurance policy. They will tell you it is Florida law. It is not.

Never make reservation with that company

When I came to the Miami airport the office was closed, I come back the next day they tell me my reservation was no longer active and that it only lasts two hours. The worst rental company in the world. Nobody resolve anything only take my money and I got nothing.

I wish I could rate as zero!

I wish I could rate as zero as they don’t deserve a 1 at all. DO NOT rent from this company. Its crooked. We were told that we needed to buy the toll pass for 13.00 a day but we insisted we did not need it as we were not going anywhere near a toll road as we knew where we were going. Fast forward to our last day there and due to a road block and a reroute, we got slightly lost and ended up having to go through a .50 cent toll. We logged into the system to pay the toll like we were instructed by the California highway system and signage, but soon found out that it wouldn’t allow us to pay the toll as the vehicle was registered to Green Motion car rental and they won’t allow you to pay the tolls. In addition to having to pay them the toll when they were charged for it, they charged us a 55.00 “administration fee” to do so. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a reputable car rental company. This one is in a seedy area and is quite gross and creepy to go to anyway.

We booked our car rental online thru…

We booked our car rental online thru Priceline and when we arrived in Cancun we were told they didn't have any cars available at our 5pm reservation time and that they would deliver one to our hotel by 9pm. They never delivered a car nor did they call. We struggled to find transportation to our hotel and then they never did get us a car. We wasted 2 days of our vacation trying to find another car rental since it was high season. This is why we booked in advance with Priceline. Green Motion is NOT a company that is responsible nor reliable!!! Take my experience and DO NOT RENT WITH GREEN MOTION!

I rented my car for 3 days to visit my son. When I had to catch a shuttle to an off-site location to pick up my car, I felt that things just didn't feel right. I was told that I did not have enough insurance coverage with USAA and had to use their insurance for an additional charge. I was also asked about tolls, I denied that charge and I still was charged on my bill. I did not see that the car that I rented was in an accident and I noticed because the car was shaking very bad when i went 50mph I never seen anyone rent you a car that had front end damage. I will NEVER EVER Rent from this company again and I hope you Be Ware of this company. When I saw the name Green Motion, I should have known this was not the right choice to make. I am in dispute with my Credit Card company currently to get the unconsented charges that were charge everyday i had the rental car. I never went through any Tolls, but the person i spoke to over the phone said i did, but there is NO PROOF of my signature signing to agree about Tolls.. Unbelievable!! If you rent from them, expect your card to have Charges that you did Not Authorize!! I will stay with Brand Name Rental Car Service from this day forward! The toll charges on my credit card were $9.99 per day totaling $29.97
